'yelling doesn't make stuff true'
According to Reagan it does -- that was his whole mantra -- if they say something you don't like , 'shout them down' ---- a real democratically minded one he was. Faux, Rush, Coulter and the rest carry-on this 'noble' tradition. Bush has taken it to a different level , as by his own admission (confession) , "if you say stuff over and over , people will believe it , thats how propaganda works". Just quoting their hero. Last time I checked , 'propaganda' was a bad thing , usually based on lies.
Craig is great -- keep it up -- sometimes it takes somebody from someplace else to point out how ugly things have become and the Rethugs have slowly morphed into really ugly creatures , indeed.
True. Not being funny or euphemistic about it, it is propaganda
Right! Did you notice that Immigrtion became a "crisis" only after "Gay Marriage" lost it's ability to gather mobs and stir people up. When to many people stopped gettin gecisted about it, them moved on to immigration.
I love this man.
Yo, Barack! Here is your press secretary!
That would be sooo much fun.
I'm beginning to like him too. Never heard of him before the strike. Maybe some of these guys never even had writers.
No. It's pretty obvious Craig goes off every night on his own.
Craig has a great sense of humor. Speaking of, what happened to that radio show that was supposed to be republican satirists? Never got off the ground because they know nothing about humor or satire, but they make the best material.
Republicans are inherently not funny, nor have a good since of humor. It can only be, I assume, a byproduct of the same genetic disorder that makes them republicans in the first place.
oh please aztecdummy, no one with any sense believes anything from Faux. CNN won SuperTuesday for coverage and this election is going to tear your party assunder. Can't wait. We've had the pseudo patriotism shoved down our throats for seven years. Now you're going to see democracy at work when the people take back their country and throw the republican criminals out on their a**es.
I wish it was true the no one with any sense believes anything from Faux. Unfortunately my very well-educated in-laws and mother are both Faux believers. It always makes for a very strained build-up to elections. Some subjects have just been declared off-limits. I live for the day when Fox News goes away.
there's not necessarily a lot of overlap of persons "with any sense" and the "very well-educated" and, no, i'm not taking a cheap shot here. the "very well-educated" are most often those people who are consumed with their professional lives and invest little, if any, time educating themselves on current issues. their positions are are formed for them before they can take the time to analyze them--and there's hardly any point devoting any analysis to anything that your party is already moving on in lockstep.
the inattention of those well-educated persons amounts to a second-tier of functional illiteracy: people who can read, but won't. many executives consider it beneath their station to be expected to read anything other than a one-page memorandum or a short summarization prepared by an underling. and many have learned that leadership is cutting through verbiage (i.e., neither listening nor reading) and spewing out a decision that is graded according to the speed with which it was spewed and not according to its consequences.
Foxed News is conservatism for the wontthinks even moreso than for the cantthinks.
question..
Spineless? How about we vote in a super majority (D) and get rid of the real problem, the DLC - they are the ones with the mushy spinal cords. The "spineless dems" meme is as old as the "cut & run" meme and just as foolish. There are many bits of truth under the surface of the 24 hour news cycle. Just dig a little deeper people.
Try voting out a few more Repubs first, and maybe one of the 60 or so bills held up by the American Sunni minority will start getting through. Blaming Demos for Congressional inaction is like blaming a rape victim.
Aww, if not for Craig Ferguson i never would've watched the old "Drew Carey" show. But i never cared for him that much on late night 'cause he seemed to be laying the accent on a little too thick and didn't have much to say, funny or otherwise.
Then he did this bit about Britney and i changed my mind:
http://you
Good on him for going after Fox News, lets hope he keeps it up. Gawd knows, back in the day SNL would've been all over these creeps.
I saw that when it first aired. I was already a fan but he earned my respect that night.
wow, i've only watched his show sporadically but that was really something.
Actually, how you hear his Scottish brogue on his late night show... that's his real voice/accent. It was the over-the-top fake English accent he intentionally exaggerated on Drew Carey that was more annoying, I think. Like Jon Stewart, being a smart ass is a good thing. Because you have to be smart first.
I had the same experience and then wondered what they were thinking when they put him in this slot. Over time I have laughed hard AND been moved by him. Bravo.
Poor, poor "thin red line." That's the nick-name he gave his johnson.
Easily my favorite Late-Night show host,.... even before this Fox comment.
Keep up the good work Mr. Ferguson - and welcome to the citizenry of these United States!
It takes a Scot...
and yes, I know he's an American now, too.
I love this guy --- mmmwah!!
BTW, if you want to get someone to pay attention and really listen, the best thing to do is whisper.
PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSAIN OBAMA, YADI YADI DA
President Hillary Rodham Clinton, yes she can, can the man.
Oh no...
Bill-O is probably sending his goons.
