John McCain (R-AZ) for president, will be disqualified as a superdelegate at the Democratic convention "under what is informally known as the Zell Miller rule." In 2004, Miller -- then a Democratic senator from Georgia -- attacked Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) in a speech at the Republican National Convention. The DNC "responded with a rule disqualifying any Democrat who crosses the aisle from being a super delegate."

It's about time high treason Lieberman is recognized for what he is. This zionist/neo-con pig should also be stripped of his ill gotten Senate seat and committee chairmanship as well as his US citizenship. There's a special place for him and his Israeli-first scum at The Hague.

Are you daft? This has nothing to do with the 2000 election, everyone supported Gore/Lieberman then. This is about all the ill will Lieberman has created since that time. The question was clearly asking whether Clinton supported Lieberman in the last Senatorial election even after he lost in the primary to Ned Lamont and decided to run as an independent. Starboymikey was also conscientious enough to actually want to get it right. My understanding is that Hillary endorsed and gave funds to Lieberman in the primary, but said she would support the nominee in the general. She deserves credit for this even if she, and most of her colleagues, didn't do much to support Lamont in the general and fell all over themselves to say what a good person old Joe was during the run up to the election.

In stripping Joe of his status, the DNC has made yet ANOTHER idiotic mistake, and it might cost them Florida.

As a Florida Democrat, I can tell you that their FIRST idiotic mistake was stripping FL of delegates. This induced a state of SHOCK to Florida voters, which ultimately was replaced by feelings ranging from disappointment to OUTRAGE.

The second idiotic mistake was for Hillary and Obama to go along with this STUPIDITY, which significantly lowered my opinion of both of them (especially Obama).

The third mistake is stripping Lieberman of delegates?

Why? Because Joe Lieberman is to the Jews of Florida as Obama is to the blacks of South Carolina.

That means that you can expect a SIZEABLE number of usually ferociously partisan Jewish Democrats to go over to McCain.

It is also as if the DNC were ENCOURAGING them to go over to the Republican side! First, the DNC IDIOTS "punish" loyal Democratic voters. Then the IDIOTS "punish" Lieberman, throwing salt in wound.

All of this leaves me in a state of absolute AMAZEMENT at the STAGGERING IDIOCY of the DNC. Was the DNC born yesterday?

Perhaps the DNC has delusions that they are going to win by such a huge margin that they don't need to pay attention to the 27 electoral votes of Florida, which is now the 4th most populous state.
