I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Limbaugh Hillary

Rush Limbaugh is ready to do his part for the GOP by putting on his own fundraiser. Even if that fundraiser is for the only politician that he believes can unite the party -- Hillary Clinton.

From today's show:

RUSH: All right, folks, I need to ask you a question, personal question from me to you. Do I sound like I need cheering up here? I'm getting e-mails from friends, "Boy, you sound like you could use a little cheering up." And they're sending me these stupid little Internet jokes, "for you to smile," like an Internet joke would cheer me up. Spam would cheer me up. But do I sound like I need to be cheered up? I can't wait 'til the Drive-Bys get hold of my thought, my consideration of helping Hillary raise money. They'll miss the reason. They'll just publicize, "Limbaugh is so upset at Romney getting out, he's thinking of raising money for Hillary, period."

But the reason for raising money for Hillary is because that apparently my party is relying on fear and loathing of Hillary to get the nomination, to unite Republicans, who are, some of them, off the reservation. The Republicans do not seem to be relying on leadership in their party to unite the party. They seem to be relying on all these external things, nobody is going to vote for Hillary, negative turnout factor. What if she's not the nominee? We've got make sure she's the nominee if the Republican Party is to be unified. What more loyal thing could I do than to run a fundraiser for Mrs. Clinton? You watch, though, you watch how that will be questioned.

Limbaugh said yesterday that "if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now," and previewed what he thinks will be the Democratic arguments against McCain:

RUSH: She just polarizes people. I think she's going to gin up enough anti-Hillary turnout out there to perhaps be a boon to whoever the Republican nominee is.

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: Now, if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now.

CALLER: I agree.

RUSH: I'm going to tell you something else that's going to happen. In addition to all this emotion that Hillary's going to revive in people, all this, "I don't care, I'm not going to vote for that woman," you know she's going to redefine negative turnout. You know she is polarizing. I'm going to tell you what's going to happen. It's already started, I pointed this out. Last week after one of the primaries, Anna Quindlen, Newsweek magazine, "How Old is Too Old?" she laid the foundation for the Drive-Bys' eventual turning on McCain as an old guy getting older. I want to predict to you that once he's got this sewn up you're going to see the Drive-By Media start doing stories on his age, and they're not going to be mean, they are not going to be vicious, they're going to be almost sorrowful. Somebody wrote about this in American Thinker today, too, and I can't remember the name. I think I've got it here in the Stack, but take a look at some of the pictures from last night on television. Here you had McCain, you've got an aging senator here, and an aging governor, gray-haired governor there, you've got old people, gray-haired, blue-haired Bloody Mary gang, women, blue hair in the hives and so forth, you've got pearls and so forth. You contrast that to the Obama crowd that is youthful, it's energetic, it wasn't stoic. I am telling you, if that doesn't work, they're going to go after this age business, and they'll do it almost regretfully. We're going to get the worst pictures of McCain. We're going to get him looking tired. We're going to hear references to his forgetfulness. "Isn't it just a shame?" And if that doesn't work, then they're going to do stories on the fact he's nuts. Just mark my words. Mark my words and don't doubt me.

Miscategorized.

This is MEDIA, not POLITICS, as much as Rush Limbaugh would love to think of himself as a legitimate player in politics.

All talk, no action. You know that he won't work very hard to raise funds for Hillary, and it's goal is to raise controversy...the pity is that he'd actually get a tax deduction for it.
By supporting Ron Paul we could end this charade and discard the disquise.
This is truely a lesson in how the most tempting tid-bit is usually bait and laced with a fish-hook.

THis was a joke people! He has already withdrawn it as one of his "clever" i was just pretending to make a point. The point and the humor come from the fact that so many do not know that what he says is often not what me thinks or means, he will say anything for ratings. Yet the Ditto head idiots think me must mean it when they agree with him. Rush would support Hitler if it heled his ratings and made him money. He has no interest in the country beyond the cash he can squeeze from the morons who listen to his show.

This just might work. After all, Ms. Clinton united 33% of New Yorkers to vote against her in 2006.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:25 AM on 02/08/2008

that means 66% voted for Clinton, in most circles we refer to this as a LANDSLIDE.

Even President Bill Clinton has stated that a Hillary- Mccain contest will be the most "civil "contest ever...
Why ??? because conservatives will not have a dog in the fight and the progressives will not either.
As soon as the primary is over Hillary will run to the right and Mccain will run to the left. You could'nt slide a sheet of Paper between them.
McHillary will cause the lowest turnout ever. could prompt a third or even 4th party and Hillary could win..... with 38% of the popular vote, kind of like another Clinton we know... You know , the one that was there when the repugs took over Congress for the 1st time in 40 years!!!

I will never vote for Obama. I will switch parties and vote for McCain. Why? I like him. He has experience. All us older folks who are voting for Hillary because of experience will go to McCain. That is what Obama has to worry about. We are the 50% of the vote that Obama didn't get. If Hillary doesn't get everyone and anyone helping her - its over for the Dems.

What experience? If Hillary didn't marry Bill she wouldn't even be in the Senate let alone running for the White House. She says she has 35 years of experience so every year since law school has prepared her for the White House, yeah right. For her own political gain, she covered for her cheating husband instead of doing what any self respecting non power hungry woman would do; divorce him. She had a golden opportunity to fix health care but screwed that up royally, leaving us with today's system. The only experience she has is being attacked and attacked by the right for those failures. That is it and that isn't anything to run on. Saying Hillary have the experience just as stupid as show with the same as your moniker.

BionicWoman, I am not sure that your age has done much for your wisdom. If Hillary loses you will not vote for Obama becauce of experience? Do you mean McCain's experience of temper tantrums, or his anti-gay message, or his pandering to big business and reaganomics? Is that the experience that appeals to you? And How is that Hillary's experience so prepares you to vote for her -- her time as a first lady? her time as a corporate lawyer? Or is it her time in the senate (oh, wait Obama has that too)?

You will, of course, vote for whoever you like. But to say it is either Hillary or McCain for you is hardly rational.

As a life long Democrat, I also state that I will NEVER vote for Obama.
Obamamania????
This shows how impressionable the American voter is !!! What experience do you think Obama has in foreign affairs, economy, etc.?
Hillary was not my first choice, it was Biden; however I am now supporting Hillary, because she IS experienced. I sent her campaign a donation yesterday.
However I will NOT vote for McCain, EVER. I will stay home this election day if Obama is the nominee.
Just want to pass this little story along. Yesterday, I had lunch with 7 other people; two were Republicans and the rest were Democrats. The five Democrats were ALL Hillary supporters, and they said they would NEVER vote for Obama; they would switch their vote to McCain.
I wonder where the media is getting their information that Obama has a better chance of beating McCain??? That's NOT what I am hearing.
Please my fellow Democrats, let's go with experience. We want this war to end, and if McCain is elected, this war will definately continue.

Just curious - which state are you from?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:06 PM on 02/08/2008

SadAmerican? Who are these people that would chose McCain over Obama, and yet call themselves Democrats. Are you sincerely afraid of Obama's relative lack of experience, or is this just a talking point in favor of Hillary? Do you think that JFK had sufficient experience to qualify him as a president? Did Al Gore have enough? Did Lincoln's state legislature experience make him qualified to lead the country through the civil war? Obama has been considered one of the brightest men to ever graduate from Harvard law, and his civil rights record is stellar? And do you really get the sense that he does not understand the foreign policy issues as well as Hillary or McCain, seriously? Obama was not my first pick either, but I have never gotten the impression that he was a novice or out of his league. Please explain yourself.

I hate to say this but Jabba the Rush is right, if Obama gets it they are doomed.

They are doomed no matter who gets it! People are done with this war and they lies of the Republican party. Their govenment does not work. They failed in Iraq, They failed in Katrina, They failed with the economy, they grew goverment at unprecidented levels and they waisted more spending than any administration and that does not include the Billions of dollars lost in Iraq, they have had more corruption than any 5 administrations combined. They tried their theories of privatizing government in Iraq and it failed, they desimated our military with privitazation and over extended tours and they started 2 wars that by their own addmission, they can see no victory or end coming for the next 100 years. They are done, stop letting them worm nad squiggle and chagne the issues with their lies had flase represetations. Expose the truth about them and they will loose in the biggest landslide in history.

Limbaugh is playing the Democrats for suckers. When he says that "we are doomed" if Obama is nominated and that he is going to fundraise for Hillary.

The reason that the right-wingers are saying this is because they know that they can DESTROY Obama, but the Clintons can win.

The fact that this is an agreed-upon MESSAGE from the right, is the fact that Karl Rove last night said that he thinks that Clinton will be the weaker candidate but Obama could win.

Now, THINK ABOUT IT: Since when have Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh been interested in giving HELPFUL advice to the Democratic Party?

Get real. The Democrats are being SUCKERED. The Righties know that Hillary can win, and that is why they are doing this.

And why, pray tell, has the vast rightwing conspiracy been so QUIET about Obama? Wait until after he's nominated!!!

And how much of the much-vaunted money that Obama is getting is actually funnelled-in by Republican billionaires who want him nominated, so that the Republicans can win?

The Republicans are now DESPERATE to get the WEAKEST DEMOCRAT nominated. With their own candidate weak, that is their only prayer.

But the weakest candidate is Obama, not Hillary. Obama is the Republicans ONLY chance of victory. The Republicans will re-define the word "swiftboating" if Obama is nominated. You can guarantee it.

But then, if you trust the advice of Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh, go ahead and nominate Obama.

You're too clever by have Jack. I heard Limbaugh. He's totally sincere on this. He hates McCain. He's made no secret about it. The polls back up what Limbaugh is saying. Obama is much tougher to beat than Hillary. the fact is, Obama is simply a much better politician than Hillary is. He's gotten where he is on his own merits. Hillary has gotten where she is by being married to Bill.

Rush has told us all we need to know. The GOP can't run and get support on their record. They need a spurious reason to rally the base. An act of desperation. The politics of hate and fear.
Turn out the lights.
The party's over.

My question is why did HE have to tell you? Anyone who is observing this process in an unemotional manner can tell you that if Obama gets the nomination, he'll clean up on Maverick McPanderer. It's all about appearance...Obama looks like an optimist (the Reagan comparison here applies...not in his politics, but in his mannerisms) and McPanderer is nothing but a bitter old man.

This race is shaping up like 1996, which is why the Conservatives are not thrilled with the probability of "Mav" as their candidate. Should Shrillary get the nomination, that would give the base something to vote against. Oh, and before you on the left start playing the "that's sad to have to vote against somebody" card, look in the mirror if you voted for Kerry in 2004 before your post.

Oh don't get me wrong, Obama is no friend to conservatives, but he'll get enough crossover moderates because "Yes We Can" plays better than anything that comes out of Mav's mouth. Watch, soon the media infatuation with McPanderer will stop, and his true colors (bitter old man) will surface.

This is something all democrats need to take seriously- as much as the big fat idiot is full of shit - he does make a point. The hatred for the Clintons is real and the fact the the national polls show McCain and Clinton dead even and the polls also show Obama over McCain by 10 points is enough is real. The right wing loons do not know how to un against Obama because how can you chop away at hope? They know this, they also know that old oring John "100 more years of war, my friend" McCain up against new young exciting Barack "yes we can" Obama would be a slaughter for the repugs. The experience arguement only works if the "experienced" candidate has shown good judgement and made good decisions.

One word: SUPERDELEGATES. One superdelegate holds the same power to influence the candidate selection process as 10,000 of the "little people"....i.e., you and me.

It's likely now we will come to the end of the primaries and caucuses with Barack holding a numerical advantage in elected delegates. Then the Clinton machine will go onto full war footing in the no-longer smoke filled back rooms. We'll see the fur really fly, stealing the nomination for Hillary.....unless we stop it.

In fact, rest assured, the arm-twisting has already begun. Hillary's not too worried about losing primaries due to tight budgets because she knows the real objective is SUPERDELEGATES.

I live an hour from Denver and I SWEAR I will be part of the torch bearing mob that will descend on the Convention Center if all this comes to pass!

Ah, the Obama-fest goes on. You people are better than the Republicans at criticizing our delegate leader, Ms. Clinton. If it's McCain you want, you'll probably get him after you kill the probable Democratic nominee. Democrats - it is like herding cats.

A Clinton/Obama ticket is the only way we're going to get a democrat in the white house. That's the only way they're going to unite the party.

Nonsense, if Obama gets the nomination, Hillary's supporters will support him. But I can't vote for Hillary. I think she's just as corrupt as Bush and Cheney, and there's no way I can support that.

Time Poll: Obama The Stronger Dem Against McCain
By Eric Kleefeld - February 8, 2008, 8:59AM
A newly released poll from Time magazine, conducted before Super Tuesday, shows Barack Obama to be the more electable Democrat against John McCain:

Obama (D) 48%, McCain (R) 41%
Clinton (D) 46%, McCain (R) 46%
According to the pollster's analysis, "independents tilt toward McCain when he is matched up against Clinton But they tilt toward Obama when he is matched up against the Illinois Senator."
