I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Limbaugh Hillary

Rush Limbaugh is ready to do his part for the GOP by putting on his own fundraiser. Even if that fundraiser is for the only politician that he believes can unite the party -- Hillary Clinton.

From today's show:

RUSH: All right, folks, I need to ask you a question, personal question from me to you. Do I sound like I need cheering up here? I'm getting e-mails from friends, "Boy, you sound like you could use a little cheering up." And they're sending me these stupid little Internet jokes, "for you to smile," like an Internet joke would cheer me up. Spam would cheer me up. But do I sound like I need to be cheered up? I can't wait 'til the Drive-Bys get hold of my thought, my consideration of helping Hillary raise money. They'll miss the reason. They'll just publicize, "Limbaugh is so upset at Romney getting out, he's thinking of raising money for Hillary, period."

But the reason for raising money for Hillary is because that apparently my party is relying on fear and loathing of Hillary to get the nomination, to unite Republicans, who are, some of them, off the reservation. The Republicans do not seem to be relying on leadership in their party to unite the party. They seem to be relying on all these external things, nobody is going to vote for Hillary, negative turnout factor. What if she's not the nominee? We've got make sure she's the nominee if the Republican Party is to be unified. What more loyal thing could I do than to run a fundraiser for Mrs. Clinton? You watch, though, you watch how that will be questioned.

Limbaugh said yesterday that "if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now," and previewed what he thinks will be the Democratic arguments against McCain:

RUSH: She just polarizes people. I think she's going to gin up enough anti-Hillary turnout out there to perhaps be a boon to whoever the Republican nominee is.

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: Now, if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now.

CALLER: I agree.

RUSH: I'm going to tell you something else that's going to happen. In addition to all this emotion that Hillary's going to revive in people, all this, "I don't care, I'm not going to vote for that woman," you know she's going to redefine negative turnout. You know she is polarizing. I'm going to tell you what's going to happen. It's already started, I pointed this out. Last week after one of the primaries, Anna Quindlen, Newsweek magazine, "How Old is Too Old?" she laid the foundation for the Drive-Bys' eventual turning on McCain as an old guy getting older. I want to predict to you that once he's got this sewn up you're going to see the Drive-By Media start doing stories on his age, and they're not going to be mean, they are not going to be vicious, they're going to be almost sorrowful. Somebody wrote about this in American Thinker today, too, and I can't remember the name. I think I've got it here in the Stack, but take a look at some of the pictures from last night on television. Here you had McCain, you've got an aging senator here, and an aging governor, gray-haired governor there, you've got old people, gray-haired, blue-haired Bloody Mary gang, women, blue hair in the hives and so forth, you've got pearls and so forth. You contrast that to the Obama crowd that is youthful, it's energetic, it wasn't stoic. I am telling you, if that doesn't work, they're going to go after this age business, and they'll do it almost regretfully. We're going to get the worst pictures of McCain. We're going to get him looking tired. We're going to hear references to his forgetfulness. "Isn't it just a shame?" And if that doesn't work, then they're going to do stories on the fact he's nuts. Just mark my words. Mark my words and don't doubt me.

Caller: Rush, I have a sixth grade education and I think you're great. Mega dittoes.

Rush: I never finished high school, and I think I'm great too. Hell, I was fired from every other job I ever had. Look at me now!

Caller: I want to be just like you Rush. I have a picture of you that I like to keep in my room.

Rush: You can't be me unless you are fat, have electrodes in your head, and like OxyContin.

Caller: Does methamphetamine count?

Rush: Close enough. Do you live in a trailer park?

Caller: Yes, and I abuse women and animals.

Rush: Ah, a kindred soul.

Its the other way around...that's how much "the right" despises McCain; its no support for Clinton, its condemnation of a McCain nomination.

Between the Clintonistas' rabid smear campaign, Bill's lunatic ravings, and Rush's endorsement, things couldn't be better for the Obama fund raising prospects!

Thanks!!!

Hillary will split the DEM Party, ergo McCain would win. I, for one, would never vote for Hillary though I am not enticed with Obama either.

Rush made his fame and fortune Clinton bashing.

He's obviously losing his power as an influence in politics so he's going to go down swinging. What a creepy little man!

Both Barack and Hillary beat McCain in votes during the present primaries, so that shoots down his theory about Hillary losing to McCain.

Don't worry, if Hillary lost they'd find a way to attack Obama.

It's all a moot point anyway.

I would never vote for a candidate for any reason other than that they were my choice for leadership.

Either dem will wipe the republican candidate.

Time Poll: Obama The Stronger Dem Against McCain
By Eric Kleefeld - February 8, 2008, 8:59AM
A newly released poll from Time magazine, conducted before Super Tuesday, shows Barack Obama to be the more electable Democrat against John McCain:

Obama (D) 48%, McCain (R) 41%
Clinton (D) 46%, McCain (R) 46%
According to the pollster's analysis, "independents tilt toward McCain when he is matched up against Clinton But they tilt toward Obama when he is matched up against the Illinois Senator."

I've never agreed with Limbaugh until I read the transcript of support for Clinton. Recall comment from one elderly white Maven in S. Carolina asking McCain, "So, how do we beat the B*tch?"

The Republican Party is dysfunctional. It resorts to eating their young, bannishing dissidents, and ostracizing others who don't do "Group Think". Nothing sews together all the fractious segments than red meat guaranteed to stir their tempers: Clinton.

Limbaugh, Hannity, Hume, Coulter, Malkin, Matlin, Ingraham, and rest of wing nuts don't utter until it is first vetted from on-high and passed down.

There is genuine fear about a Non-Hillary candidate. What would the Right argue?

Racism for starters. What extreme Republicans, and evangelicals, will play the race card. It will get uglier.

National security and softness of Dems on terrorism. This is running out of steam: our nation spends itself into oblivion, like the Russians did during Reagan and Iraq drains scarce treasury in a war that can't be "won". Result: bankruptcy and eviscerating our armed forces readiness. (Ron Paul was the ONLY candidate who got it right!)

Immigration another "wedge" issue. This time, it unite Hispanics vote Democratic regardless of candidate. Republican Representatives and Senators who will tank their next term by steadfastly waving this banner.

Gay marriage & same sex civil unions is passe. The ugliness Karl Rove used to divide Americans against those of different sexual orientation, has played out its fervor. It only works on Evangelicals and religious so insecure about their sexuality. Today, people are used to civil union couple & they're no threat to national security. They pay taxes, too!

It's a very sad day for Repugs. Clinton's campaign has yet to grasp the fact all Americans - this is where Republicans and Independents cross over BIG Time - want a dysfunctional Washington pandering only to very powerful and well-heeled willing to pay for play to end. There are lots of other tangential issues tethered to this core, and Clinton's campaign has yet to understand the profound significance happening - the ground is shifting.

Butt! Butt! Does "The Hillary" understand that any close physical contact with Rush "The Anal Poisoner" Limpbag could result in her acquiring a large , toxic, anal cyst? You know! like the one that kept Rush from getting drafted! Be afraid! Be very afraid!
FAUX HEADLINE NEWS::Hilliary Clinton To Receive GOP "My Best Girl Award" Mz.Clinton was selected by the GOP(Grand Old Perverts) committee chairman, Annie Coulter, for this coveted award which is presented anally by our beloved and truly "vicy" War Presinator, "Little Dickie" Cheney

If you're a DEM, why would you care what Rush said. What I hear being suggested is that Democratic voters should choose based on Rush's assessment of the situation. Rush is the same as any politician. He has no more power than the people who listen to him give him.

Fortunately, Silpat, we Democrats have programs to help poor souls like Rush who are mentally challenged. Perhaps he and the mentally disturbed Shawn Hannity can share a room in a publicly supported home for the disturbed.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but, Rush is right. There is such a hatred among everyone (with the exception of established, old democrats) for Hillary Clinton that there would be a unified coalition against her in the general election. You can see this just by looking at the transcripts from the Republican debates. They reference Hillary to get unanimous applause; notice that they are afraid to mention Obama.

This "endorsement" is an excellent weapon for the Obama camp. It means one of two things:
a. The Republicans think that they have a better chance of beating Hillary than Obama
b. Rush Limbaugh simply likes Hillary's policies more than Obama's.
Neither of these are a good thing for a Democratic Candidate.

If Hillary won the popular vote on Super Tuesday, wouldn't it be reasonable to say that she's more popular than Obama?

It will be very hard for Obama to win NY and NJ over McCain and he certainly will not win Florida.

Every single Latino voter in this country will vote for McCain over Obama.

Well, it's obvious why he's making statments like that, right?

It's to divide Democrats and rout them as badly as the Republicans are now routed.

From what I can see it's working.

People seem to forget the causes of the republican revolution. Two words for you: the clintons.

I've been saying this all along. people will come to the polls just to vote against hillary. Democrats like me will not go vote because hillary is a turn-off for a lot of people. so you have lower than normal democratic turnout and a new republican revolution that will losse us the house and senate AGAIN.

Nothing against hillary. pissing off republicans is fun. but she is a liability. bigtime.

You seem to forget that the only successful national Democratic was Bill Clinton. After LBJ, we had Nixon (Repub 68 & 72), Carter (Dem 76) (one term, post Watergate); Reagan (Rep 80, 84); Bush I (R 88); Clinton (D 92, 96); Bush (R 2000, 04).

So if you think the Republican revolution was a response to Clinton, you are overlooking the facts. Bill Clinton is the only Democrat of the past 50 years who was a successful 2-term Democratic president. Bill Clinton interrupted the Republican revolution.

That's because the Democrats keep handing the elections to the Republicans on a silver platter. If they'd nominate someone people who aren't Democrats would vote for, they'd slaughter the Republicans. However, it's beginning to look like they're on the road to doing it again.
