I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Limbaugh Hillary

Rush Limbaugh is ready to do his part for the GOP by putting on his own fundraiser. Even if that fundraiser is for the only politician that he believes can unite the party -- Hillary Clinton.

From today's show:

RUSH: All right, folks, I need to ask you a question, personal question from me to you. Do I sound like I need cheering up here? I'm getting e-mails from friends, "Boy, you sound like you could use a little cheering up." And they're sending me these stupid little Internet jokes, "for you to smile," like an Internet joke would cheer me up. Spam would cheer me up. But do I sound like I need to be cheered up? I can't wait 'til the Drive-Bys get hold of my thought, my consideration of helping Hillary raise money. They'll miss the reason. They'll just publicize, "Limbaugh is so upset at Romney getting out, he's thinking of raising money for Hillary, period."

But the reason for raising money for Hillary is because that apparently my party is relying on fear and loathing of Hillary to get the nomination, to unite Republicans, who are, some of them, off the reservation. The Republicans do not seem to be relying on leadership in their party to unite the party. They seem to be relying on all these external things, nobody is going to vote for Hillary, negative turnout factor. What if she's not the nominee? We've got make sure she's the nominee if the Republican Party is to be unified. What more loyal thing could I do than to run a fundraiser for Mrs. Clinton? You watch, though, you watch how that will be questioned.

Limbaugh said yesterday that "if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now," and previewed what he thinks will be the Democratic arguments against McCain:

RUSH: She just polarizes people. I think she's going to gin up enough anti-Hillary turnout out there to perhaps be a boon to whoever the Republican nominee is.

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: Now, if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now.

CALLER: I agree.

RUSH: I'm going to tell you something else that's going to happen. In addition to all this emotion that Hillary's going to revive in people, all this, "I don't care, I'm not going to vote for that woman," you know she's going to redefine negative turnout. You know she is polarizing. I'm going to tell you what's going to happen. It's already started, I pointed this out. Last week after one of the primaries, Anna Quindlen, Newsweek magazine, "How Old is Too Old?" she laid the foundation for the Drive-Bys' eventual turning on McCain as an old guy getting older. I want to predict to you that once he's got this sewn up you're going to see the Drive-By Media start doing stories on his age, and they're not going to be mean, they are not going to be vicious, they're going to be almost sorrowful. Somebody wrote about this in American Thinker today, too, and I can't remember the name. I think I've got it here in the Stack, but take a look at some of the pictures from last night on television. Here you had McCain, you've got an aging senator here, and an aging governor, gray-haired governor there, you've got old people, gray-haired, blue-haired Bloody Mary gang, women, blue hair in the hives and so forth, you've got pearls and so forth. You contrast that to the Obama crowd that is youthful, it's energetic, it wasn't stoic. I am telling you, if that doesn't work, they're going to go after this age business, and they'll do it almost regretfully. We're going to get the worst pictures of McCain. We're going to get him looking tired. We're going to hear references to his forgetfulness. "Isn't it just a shame?" And if that doesn't work, then they're going to do stories on the fact he's nuts. Just mark my words. Mark my words and don't doubt me.

Hillary: war with Iraq good: McCain, sameHillary: War with Iran good: McCain sameHillary, War with Lebanon Good : McCain sameHillary, piad no attention to Pakistan: McCain same
Hillary, Health care reform = force people to buy from big insuranceand call it a mandate. McCain, same (ie, give no other choice, but really lousy, and/or really expensive insurance, but to be fair, he does not FORCE you by law to buy it).
Obama? Right about Iraq. Right about Iran. Right about Pakistan. Right about REAL health care reform, done in steps that lead to TRUE universal health care, not just allowing big 7 insurers to continue raping the US with Hillary's (their 2nd largest PAC money recipient) so called mandate.

Is there anyone else that is noticing the incredible number of conservatives that have come out and said they will either vote or fundraise for Hillary?

I wrote on Huffpost a couple months ago about this. It is not a coincidence.
You will find that those who are staunch bush POLICY supporters, all seem to keep making hints of preference for Hillary.

First Bush made comments months ago.
Then Rove made comments.
Then Ann Coulter made comments.
Then Laura Ingram
Now Rush Limbaugh.

WHY?????????

What I have understood since 2006 is that they are not kidding. They want her to win.
Go back and look and examine the comments that these Bush republicans keep making about her.
i know some people wont actually do the research
but you should. Hillary reminds me of Bush so much. Not because I think she is evil, but because her machine is the same machine as Bush.
Their political tactics are the same.
Their support comes from those who for whatever reason can rationalize Iraq, as something other than a mass criminal enterprise.
This Iraq thing is serious business, and those of you who want to act like its an anecdote need to remember your vows the days right before the invasion. try and remember.

Still want to vote for someone who authorized this War? If you do, Your claimed opposition to the war and Bush holds no weight.
If you support a Democrat that voted for this war you VALIDATE GEORGE BUSH' policies.

You're right. Hillary is Bush Lite, McCain is a dangerous angry man. That leaves Obama. But many of us don't like him either, knowing very little about what kind of a president he might become. We don't know much about what kind of senator he is, as he's been out campaigning for most of his term. He's a good motivational speaker for sure, but how likely is he to motivate Ahma-needa-jihad, Kim Jung Il and other dangerous adversaries? I hardly see them changing their ways because Obama is such a breath of fresh air.

So maybe the thinking is, it's better to vote for a leader whose shortcomings you understand than one who may be an unmitigated disaster in ways you cannot anticipate.

Frankly, I'd be happy to entertain a third party candidate.

Guess you missed her talking about her Goldwater years and how a speech by MLK changed her life, her viewpoint, and her party. Get over it. There are a lot of loyal dems. who were once Goldwater and other types of republicans. They saw the light and have been with the dems ever since.

Hey Rush, the fat pig.

How about your hero Hitlers old rant when the Germans were losing. "These people don't deserve me".

AnnimCA you must be kidding us. Since when did winning blue states become a big win for a democrat? We need to show we can win states like Missouri you nuthead. US POLITICS 101 for you.

Red states are responding overwhelmingly to Obama. That is amazing my friend.

I hope Fatty Rush doesn't energize his hillbillies into voting for Hillary. He is a big dumbo. If Hillary wins the white house which I think she CANNOT, she will do more damage to the Republicans.

Fat Rush is being selfish. His ego is getting in the way of good judgement.

The bill will suck. There is a narrow chance that Dodd can block it with a filibuster, but we will need to act.

And call everyone you can think of in the House, starting with Pelosi, and tell them that they are to make it public and clear that they will take as much time in conference committee considering amendments to this horrid bill, and if Bush wants an extension of PAA, he can have it with a fucking bow on top.

Please take action!

I live in San Diego (republican city) and have several Republican friends. I talked to one of them today who said he donated a couple hundred to Hillary's campaign because he knows McCain can beat Hillary. So they're putting their money where their mouth is. P.S. He admitted that Obama would win if he was the Dem nominee.

Let's see now, Rush says he is backing Hillary because they can't beat Obama and he is hoping the dems will buy that garbage. It is an old political tactic to try to turn the other party on itself to say they can beat the strongest candidate so the weaker candidate who is their actual choice will come their way. One of the benefits of experience is having seen this stuff before. If they could beat either candidate they would not be telling you about it. Rove said two years ago a split dem. party with a minority candidate like Obama running against Hillary would be his ideal contest. Krystol said on Fox several times this year Obama would be their 1st choice to run against. They are hoping for enough party angst to prevent a unity ticket when the dust settles. Stop trying to gauge the other side and put confidence in ours. Our party only loses elections when we don't vote or when republicans fix elections with crooked machines or fixed court rulings, we actually outnumber them in the vast majority of states.

Maybe Lush Rimbaugh wants to see Hillary gag again, I dunno.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hillary call up Lush Rimbaugh on his show, just to smack him around a bit.

"Lush, it's pantsuit time for ya".

Maybe I'm old fashion but Why do the Clintons so desperately want to run again? It has to be either boredom or power! Either way this is not good. Didn't they just leave? Why do people come back like this? At first I thought it was care for the country. BS I was naive. Look at her voting record and look at Bill's buddies. I know we have our jobs and responsibilities, but We must take the time and find out why she pretends she didn't know Bush was going to war. This is serious business. I'm picking up on something with Israel, or whomever is convenient at the time. I'd pick Jimmie Carter first! Now if Bill wants to comeback kid after his mistakes, then say it. This is our lives you are dealing with.

Hillary is a flawed and polarizing candidate who would probably lose the general election if the Republicans had a halfway-decent, competent candidate to run against her. They don't.

She's not flawed; she's one of the most competent intelligent and capable candidates ever. She's no more polarizing than any other candidate. Please folks, republicans will hate whoever we nominate. They don't care - they just want their guy at any cost, so they can keep bleeding the country, destroying the environment, controlling women's wombs, and killing Muslims.

She is flawed. And so is Bill

That you cannot see it yet is more attributable to the Clintons' considerable talent in the art of scamming people, than any defect on your part.

You'll wake up one day, just like the rest of us who believed all their bullshit. This is about THEM and their being in power and in the spotlight once again, nothing more.

The Republicans are going to be Scrambling, Dangling and looking like the Crooks and the Scumbags they are from now on out; in the courts and in investigational commitees that it really doesn`t matter who the Democratic nominee is (is).

All this talk of wanting to run against HilaBilly is going to fade away real soon when their talking points are going to have to be defending alligation after allegation, leak after leak and getting as far away as possible from the policies of the past 8 years. If the Repukes think bringing Guilani`s act back and the Iraq War is going to help anything; every cellphone that is a primary phone is going to be a vote against.....not even a no vote.

The GOP is going to have so much wax on itself that their nominee is going to be a Huckster/McCain/Paul ticket variation

Check this out; it`s just the tip of an ICEBERG
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0208/8349.html

Da Hammer going to Jail.......maybe even Newt Gingrich, and a whole lot GOP politicians in between.

And the cherry on the cake will be neither Bloomberg or Nader will run as a 3rd party independent.

Suck on that for a while Rush!

Nader is already running third party, he is on the Green ticket as VP candidate with McKinney. Bloomberg is still planning a run and has all the machinery in place, he is just waiting to see if there are enough dissaffected voters from both parties to make it worth his while. He has stated he is willing to spend up to a billion of his own bucks to win it. That gives the dems an big advantage if they unify because no American likes to see some mega rich person try to buy the Presidency, (see Ross Perot, Ted Kennedy, Mitt Romney).
