I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Limbaugh Hillary

Rush Limbaugh is ready to do his part for the GOP by putting on his own fundraiser. Even if that fundraiser is for the only politician that he believes can unite the party -- Hillary Clinton.

From today's show:

RUSH: All right, folks, I need to ask you a question, personal question from me to you. Do I sound like I need cheering up here? I'm getting e-mails from friends, "Boy, you sound like you could use a little cheering up." And they're sending me these stupid little Internet jokes, "for you to smile," like an Internet joke would cheer me up. Spam would cheer me up. But do I sound like I need to be cheered up? I can't wait 'til the Drive-Bys get hold of my thought, my consideration of helping Hillary raise money. They'll miss the reason. They'll just publicize, "Limbaugh is so upset at Romney getting out, he's thinking of raising money for Hillary, period."

But the reason for raising money for Hillary is because that apparently my party is relying on fear and loathing of Hillary to get the nomination, to unite Republicans, who are, some of them, off the reservation. The Republicans do not seem to be relying on leadership in their party to unite the party. They seem to be relying on all these external things, nobody is going to vote for Hillary, negative turnout factor. What if she's not the nominee? We've got make sure she's the nominee if the Republican Party is to be unified. What more loyal thing could I do than to run a fundraiser for Mrs. Clinton? You watch, though, you watch how that will be questioned.

Limbaugh said yesterday that "if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now," and previewed what he thinks will be the Democratic arguments against McCain:

RUSH: She just polarizes people. I think she's going to gin up enough anti-Hillary turnout out there to perhaps be a boon to whoever the Republican nominee is.

CALLER: Absolutely.

RUSH: Now, if Obama is the nominee, we are doomed, and you should get ready and prepared for it now.

CALLER: I agree.

RUSH: I'm going to tell you something else that's going to happen. In addition to all this emotion that Hillary's going to revive in people, all this, "I don't care, I'm not going to vote for that woman," you know she's going to redefine negative turnout. You know she is polarizing. I'm going to tell you what's going to happen. It's already started, I pointed this out. Last week after one of the primaries, Anna Quindlen, Newsweek magazine, "How Old is Too Old?" she laid the foundation for the Drive-Bys' eventual turning on McCain as an old guy getting older. I want to predict to you that once he's got this sewn up you're going to see the Drive-By Media start doing stories on his age, and they're not going to be mean, they are not going to be vicious, they're going to be almost sorrowful. Somebody wrote about this in American Thinker today, too, and I can't remember the name. I think I've got it here in the Stack, but take a look at some of the pictures from last night on television. Here you had McCain, you've got an aging senator here, and an aging governor, gray-haired governor there, you've got old people, gray-haired, blue-haired Bloody Mary gang, women, blue hair in the hives and so forth, you've got pearls and so forth. You contrast that to the Obama crowd that is youthful, it's energetic, it wasn't stoic. I am telling you, if that doesn't work, they're going to go after this age business, and they'll do it almost regretfully. We're going to get the worst pictures of McCain. We're going to get him looking tired. We're going to hear references to his forgetfulness. "Isn't it just a shame?" And if that doesn't work, then they're going to do stories on the fact he's nuts. Just mark my words. Mark my words and don't doubt me.

This American election system (if one can call it that) is sooo stupid. Just like Rush L. He must have been dropped on his head.

It should be illegal to be that stupid.

Finally, the big fat idiot said something I agree with. If Obama's the nominee, the GOP is doomed. All these right wing whiners will fall in love (or, at least, like) with McCain if Clinton gets the nomination. Seriously, does anyone believe Comedian and Crying Game Coulter would prefer Clinton over McCain? If they're just looking to further their careers, yes. If they believe in all their right wing bullshit, no.

One rationale is that if Hillary is elected it will be easier for the Reps to drive her negatives up, block her policies, and possibly even get her out in '12.

Ironically, if McCain is elected he'll get more liberal programs through, because people won't have the animus toward him that they have toward Hillary.

That's taking the long view, whereby conservatives are patient in getting their program back on track. Politics is played out over decades, not a single election.

Hahahaha, the first time in history I agree with El Rushbo. The only way we can lose is if HRC is the candidate.

Rush and the rethugs sure seems desperate to have HRC to run against. Obama must frighten them. Or it's just more rovian tricks.

They ARE desperate to have HRC to run against, that and stealing an[other] election are their only hope as their track record is a massive albatross.

They repubs are down so low...they all know short of an iranian war or some other treasonous shennanigans, they are screwed.

This is a trick, they just don't want hillary to be the candidate. Neither does the Executives at GE, who are among the worlds largest arms manufacturer. They own MNSBC. If McCain gets elected Olberman, tweety and the Meet the press crew will get millions in stock value. Hillary can beat the republicans, barack can not.

Hillary is probably the most qualified candidate for Pres. in my lifetime (I'm 58). State experience in Arkansas, 8 years managing a staff in the White House, leading US delegations around the world, more than 7 years in the US Senator -- no one has had this much experience before running. Look closely at Obama's supporter - nuclear industry, Wall Street Journal -- they want Obama because McCain can beat Obama. Go Hillary!

State experience in Arkansas? Managing a staff in the White House or leading US delegations around the world? You've got to be kidding right? That's what FIRST LADIES DO!! Laura Bush has equivalent experience doing this - there's a reason she's not the front-runner for the Republican party! You left out an important adjective in your "no one has had this much experience before running" claim - the word is "nonrelevant" experience.
7 years in the US Senate is Hillary Clinton's ONLY bona fide political experience. Obama has 12 years of elected official political experience and unlike Hillary actually worked in the state extensively before running for office. Obama unlike Hillary has actually built up and managed organizations from the ground-up, not riding the coat-tails of a politically popular spouse.
Again, just a warning - if she is the Dem nominee, the Republicans will slaughter her on the experience argument, particularly with a contender like Senator John McCain with EXTENSIVE, REAL political experience. Unlike Clinton, Obama has never claimed extensive Washington experience that he doesn't have.

you are an idiot, and you need learn

Hillary is good friends with John McCain, and SHE voted for the war, funded the war, voted for a war in Iran... And she is the candidate with the most money from the defense industry and weapons makers.

Hey ocean park... yeah she voted for the war, but she has also voted FOR families, kids rights, health care, consumer protections and lots of other things that are important to the middle and working classes of people. I too was for the Bush war in the beginning cause I believed what was being told to me by the MSM...as did most of the country. Now I find I was lied too and won't be so naive next time. It was just the luck of the draw that Obama voted the way he did... he usually refrains from voting at all, as he is now refraining from future debates with Hillary and as he refrains from holding Q&A town hall style meetings.... cause he is an orator and has not figured out his position on many topics. Wishy-washy!

Geez, how brain-damaged do you have to be to not get this already!?!? MONTHS ago, Bush, Rove, Guiliani and other Republican hacks were telegraphing Clinton winning the Democratic nomination. When Republicans have debates, what name do they bring up most? Hillary Clinton!! Just like Dems bring up George W Bush!! Why Bush and Clinton? Because mention of these names RALLY members of the respective parties who don't like them. That's why Coulter and Rush are threatening to campaign for Hillary!! They're trying to RALLY THEIR BASE. Yes, quite a few Repubs aren't too happy with McCain, however McCain enjoys broad Republican party support - that's why he's KILLING his primary competitors in the delegate count. That's a contrast to the Dem side where there is a tight race and the argument can be made that Hillary Clinton doesn't enjoy as broad support from Dems as McCain does from Repubs. Obama is a new name, he's bested better knowns like Edwards, Biden, Richardson to get where he is, so the fact that he's doing well against Clinton, a 20+ year known entity of the Dem party speaks volumes as to his abilities as a candidate. Plus the fact that Obama has proven best at poaching away Republicans to vote for him, THAT'S why folks like Limbaugh and Coulter aren't too eager to run against Obama.
The big unknown quite frankly is the women vote. If Hillary is able to capture the majority of the Republican women vote, she has a real chance at winning. Otherwise, it just does not look good. And that's what the Repubs are gleeful about.

If you read the article, Rush isn't joining the Democrats. He's doing it because he believes, Clinton is the only politician that he believes can unite the party. The man is pathetic. If you're a Republican you truly have my sympathies. Republicans have wrecked this country and I say only half kiddingly that they deserve being tarred and feathered, and, then run out of America on a rail. Maybe Bush can take the lot of you to South America when he leases as if he would even care about the so called "party faithful".

Ann & Rush are just saying that. Did you see any of them actually DO anything to support Hillary? That's their strategy to win a Republican White House. Obama does not stand a chance. Hillary does. And now it seems easy to sell the theory that they are afraid of Obama to get rid of Hillary.

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

It's kind of fun to watch the right so upside down right now. Rush, McCain, Romney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Bush, Gonzales, Rove, Libby, Coulter, Huckabee, Perry, DeLay, Craig, Vittner, and of course Cheney...too many to mention.

But you know, one thing a friend told me a long time ago, is that these folks need some new plot lines, they need to develop a new crusade. So losing this time is perfect timing. I mean Iraq and the Economy is so ^&%$#-up at the moment who wouldn't want to leave that problem to somebody else right now.

It will be easier for them to blame the new admin and forget that they got us here. I think Rush should see a good ratings boost from this.
