Michael Moore on Larry King the day after Super Tuesday 2008: "I am morally prohibited from voting for Hillary in the primaries because of her war votes, I mean that not as a personal attack against her, but I simply can't side with somebody who participated, whether willingly or unknowingly, as she claims, in something that has been so evil."

I hope Mr. Moore reads these comments.

In the Iraq Resolution, Bush agreed to, quote: "work with the U.N. Security Council to meet the common challenge posed by Iraq."

Mr. Bush did not abide by his own resolution to work with the U.N. to meet the challenge of Iraq and broke his word to our own representatives in Congress and the Senate.
In 3/7/03 the U.N. inspectors reported there was no evidence of a WMD program and requested more time to complete their work. Bush dismissed their report, declaring the U.S. forces were on their way.
Senators who voted for the resolution voted for Bush to work with the U.N. He egregiously did not. It was a binding agreement. He broke it. Stop blaming others for his preemptive war.

To the HRC club, commmon. I actually support Obama, and HRC HAD an out on the war. She couuld HAVE said it was based on manipulated intel. While a more subtle form of the "misled" argument, it could have saved face(s). Instead, she him haws on her support, and cannot admit she was wrong. THAT is called taking responsibility, and we've spent 7 years thus far with a President like that.

How sick are you of hearing the comparison of Obama to John F. Kennedy and/or Martin Luther King JR.? It was started by Obama in one of his preachings and these blind fools keep repeating it as though there was an iota of reality to it. He has nowhere near the work experience, life experiences, knowledge or competence of either man!

How about we let Obama practice at being president after Hillary has cleaned up some of the many, huge messes left by Bush/Cheney! Oh yah, Obama’s wife said that ‘if he was not elected now, they would move on to another place and would not run again’…I wonder how deep their convictions go. He is a young man! Makes you think doesn’t it?

And why are the Men in this country content to sit home and take the risk of having another inexperienced, incompetent elected president in this time of so many problems, rather than vote for a Woman? Show some guts man! And don’t worry, you’ll be in the booth alone…None of your macho friends will know it was you…

As Obama's health insurance is as costly as Clinton's,but is not covering 15-30 millions people,

Obama's premiums must be high in the skys.

Read Matt Taibis aricle here about the dems.
Most of them are useless and sold us down the river. And Hillary was right there along with them.

Obama isn't perfect but he represents change. His antiwar stance may not do much for a while, but its better than the hawkishness of HRC. He is waking up the unwashed (and stupid) masses to what has been going on in DC.

We don't stand a chance with Billary.

Multimillionaires like De Nero don't need hope. They can make the world around them the way they want it. Wake up and pick candidates because they are solid and you like their stands on issues and what they have actually achieved instead of which people stand next to them in photo ops.

Mr Moore,

Would you find it slightly repulsive to vote for Obama who is not only related to Chenney but he voted for the CHenney Oil Bill to increase payments to the big oil companies that help raise the price of oil to $100 er barrel?

The same Chenny oil companies and buddies that American soldiers are working and giving their lives for in Iraq?

Think!

Michael Moore is just another Nader, the first stuff they did was interesting and pointed up problems, everything that has followed is just to whine and get attention.

The only economist I ever understood, Paul Krugman recently wrote this in the New York Times:

"If Mr. Obama gets to the White House and tries to achieve universal coverage, he’ll find that it can’t be done without mandates — but if he tries to institute mandates, the enemies of reform will use his own words against him.

If you combine the economic analysis with these political realities, here’s what I think it says: If Mrs. Clinton gets the Democratic nomination, there is some chance — nobody knows how big — that we’ll get universal health care in the next administration. If Mr. Obama gets the nomination, it just won’t happen."

Hi ProudLiberalDan,

Please don’t just hold your nose and vote. Allow the oxygen in and look at the records of Hillary and Obama so you can be part of the solution! Hillary is about the only one who has been demanding an Iraq exit strategy from the Bush administration! When that failed, (because there never has been one to this day), she has been meeting with military personnel, numerous security officials and army generals to begin to get a handle on planning the best possible exit, unlike the total lack of planning that was done for our entry! Obama “preaches” he will just withdraw all troupes in his first year…or two…

Hillary already has a successful track record for obtaining better health care for veterans and children and is the most likely to succeed in solving the Health Care Crisis once and for all if elected. Hillary has clearly “enunciated plans” to solve our Economic Crisis as well. Obama continues to “preach” dreams.

Obama’s lack of experience and poor judgment in foreign matters would leave us even more vulnerable than we are, (if that is possible). Aside from one “no” vote for the war, Obama has voted affirmatively ever since. He thinks it wise to meet with foreign dignitaries without any prior groundwork, or knowledge of who they are and what their motives are. His approach leaves no recourse for future negotiations.
Aside from those issues, his record and answers remain vague and thin, other than his “preaching of dreams.” Oh, and there is that problem he has with decision making failures, (130), and pushing incorrect buttons while voting, (5+).

ProudLiberalDan, don’t hold your nose and vote, PLEASE GET OUT THERE AND WORK TO INSURE HILLARY IS THE NOMINEE, for all our sakes! Where are you MEN?

Terry

I have a lot of sympathy for Michael Moore.

I could not vote for Clinton in the primary because of the war either.

On the other hand, I couldn't vote for Obama in the primary either because of his weak, non-universal health care "plans".

That left me voting for the sole remaining Democrat Mike Gravel, who at least is right on the issues, even though he probably won't win a single delegate.

But, the stakes are too high and differences between McCain and Clinton or Obama are enough that I will certainly hold my nose and vote for whichever of these two DLC candidates the nominee is. I expect Michael Moore will do the same.

I say ,OBAMA can find common ground with republicans.

For example,HEALTH CARE

He came short by 15-30 millions uninsured.

So,probably 45-50 millions UNINSURED,i'd say

would be GOOD COMPROMISE FOR OBAMA SUPPORTERS and REPUBLICANS .

Be very very careful...there is a difference between providing health care and mandating purchasing insurance. Under Hillary's plan, every American will be required to purchase insurance, as if those who currently don't have it do so willingly. So I wonder what a family of four, with their home in foreclosure, their credit cards maxed, with no money for college, with an SUV in the driveway and gas prices over $3, just where are they going to get the money for this mandate?? I'm sorry, but a tax credit is not going to cover it.

And Obama's mandates? I'm sure to be consistent and not to be hypocritical, those people who criticized Edwards' and Clinton's plans for mandates are also going to criticize Obama's plan for his and question what the punishment will be if people don't meet those mandates.

Oh, that's right. His weak and non-universal health care plan has them.

Hillary's plan is a clear loser in November. You go out there and tell millions of Americans that if they don't purchase health care insurance, you're going to garnish their wages and see how far you get. I understand that some Democrats think that's a great idea, but 80% of Americans don't.

I swear, nominating Hillary Clinton this year is the political equivalent of hari kari. In a year the Democrats can't possibly lose, they'll find a way to lose if they nominate her. She voted wrong on the war and then wimped out when the going got tough, her health care plan is a non-starter, she was wrong on Kyl Lieberman, she's wrong on meeting with adversaries...she's seen as a political coward who always takes the path of least resistance, and THEN you have Bill... Maybe that's not fair, but that's how it is.

If the Dems nominate her, they should just save their money and not run a campaign. She has zero point zero chance.

I am sorry but the family you mentioned (which is likely your family) should first of all sell the bloody SUV, and pay for your health insurance ...

Obama wants the rest of us to pay for our health and your health insurance on top.

If you dont want to pay for your health insurance, when you have an accident in your suv, dont go to the hospital and expect the rest of us who do not drive a bloody SUV to pay for you ...

You pay for a mandated vehicle accident insurance with your SUV dont you? So how about carrying your own weight and pay for your family insurnace instead of trying to get a free ride on your hospital bills while you drive a bloody SUV

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:10 PM on 02/09/2008

Be very, very smart and really really listen! She has said there will be a "fund" to help people who can't afford to buy the insurance. If you still have uninsured people showing up at ER's and needing Hospitalization they can't pay for all of our costs will continue to rise because the hospital isn't taking that hit! Under Obama's plan I am sure I would fall into one of the 15 Million. after all I make a little over a $1000 a month on SS. Obama tends to "stretch the truth and he has raised the "race" question enough times that no one can criticize him without it being racial!

i watched this particular interview w/ MM. he did not "cry out" or "yell"...he was simply, matter-of-factually and respectfully stating the reasons why he cannot, morally, vote for her...it was because of her votes in favor of the war. end of story. he was asked, he answered. Lots of folks feel that way, its not "news" or "startling" by any means.

MSM cannot just report it the Way it Actually happened..it would put everyone to sleep, so "they" make something BIG out of it...or at least "they" try..

I dont support Hillary, respectfully, either, but i bet This statement wont make headlines.
