If you see "Volver" by Almodovar there is no way you can say penelope is marginally talented. She is a mature powerhouse not to mention the heir to a Sofia Loren sex-appeal.

Scarlett is a lightweight, but has potential. Penelope has come into her own but only in the hands of Spanish directors like Almodovar can one see that. The American movies are typically exploitive of her "ethnicity" (a European) and americans don't even know the difference between a Spaniard and a Latin American.

May be refering to Julia Louis-Dryfuss in "Deconstructing Henry," though I don't remember any specific scenes exactly. It's nobody's business what two consenting adults do; but, it could also be noted that Allen didn't really live with Farrow and her many adopted children, instead he lived in the townhouse across the street.
