Conan O'Brien's Run Through Tour Of Nightly, SNL & More

Conan O'Brien continues to do a show each night without writers. Probably as a result, the late-night NBC host had a segment Thursday that was a running tour through all of NBC's 30 Rock office spaces. With an audience member named Chris in tow, O'Brien sprinted up and down stairwells, through SNL's studios, MSNBC and the cafeteria. He also stopped by Brian Williams to inform the "Nightly News" anchor that Mitt Romney had suspended his campaign. It's hilarious.

Conan's show has been better without the writers, though I hope they return to work soon.

The writerless shows have been more creative and unstructured and funny than anything I've seen Conan do for years. Hopefully, the writers can continue the zaniness Conan started without them.

NBC is the one handing the post to Conan, even though word has it Leno was not ready to step down and is not happy about it.

My opinion: they should. Conan is a comedic genius the likes of young David Letterman, and this will free Leno to do join the Blue Collar comedy tour, where his low brow, funny to people who limit their newspaper reading to the Sports sections and "The Funnies" brand of humor belongs.

Since my opinion (and yours) is unimportant to anyone else, you can see that for yourself every night. Listen to the crowd reaction as Leno and Conan do their monologues. From O'Brian, invariable laughter. From Leno, no laughs, only applause.

Oh put a sock in it - you and the other Negative Nancy's on this page. I'm guessing you and the others probably don't know funny to begin with. Conan is crazy funny and just a regular guy. Leno does nothing but deliver one-liners that someone else wrote. Give me a break.
