Rove Mccain Better

Karl Rove last week announced that he had given $2300 to the presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain.

Asked over the weekend about the donation, McCain said he has "always respected Karl Rove as one of the smart great political minds I think in American politics," and specifically refused to condemn Rove's hyper-partisan campaign tactics (including his smears against McCain in the 2000 South Carolina race).

Watch it:

Transcript:

QUESTION: Are there other signs you see that are encouraging to you...

MCCAIN: Oh yeah. A lot of the fundraisers from other camps are coming on board. And yeah we're seeing that coming together really well. We're seeing it.

[Inaudible]

MCCAIN: Who?

QUESTION: Karl Rove?

MCCAIN: Oh I, listen, he ah. Nobody denies he's one of the smartest political minds in America. I'd be glad to get his advice. I get advice from a lot of people. I'd be happy to have his advice.

QUESTION: I was wondering about that, right....

MCCAIN: He beat me. I certainly would be glad to get his advice. I don't think I'd want to revisit how he did it. And I mean that. Not about South Carolina. I mean I don't feel like reliving my defeat.

QUESTION: Are you worried about, he uses very aggressive tactics is that something that--

MCCAIN: I've always respected Karl Rove as one of the smart great political minds I think in American politics. I've always respected him. We never had any ill will after the initial South Carolina thing. After we had the meeting with President Bush we moved on. I've seen Karl Rove many times when I've been over at the White House. We've always had pleasant conversations.

QUESTION: His tactics don't, you don't disapprove of them? They don't make you nervous?

MCCAIN: It's not so much whether I approve of his tactics or not. It's that he has a very good, great political mind. Any information or advice and council he can give us, I'd be glad to have. I don't think anybody denies his talents. So I'd be glad to get any advice and council. We would obviously decide whether to accept it or not.

Jesus!
For a moment there, I thought the headline meant that he actually touched Rove.

The poor old man sold his soul to the Republican Party for a chance to run for President. At 71 years old, he knows it is his last chance. They thought he was done for but he surprised them by getting the sympathy vote. Now that he has a chance, the Republican Party is turning on him.

I don't think anybody denies his talents.....
I have some news for you, Johnny, everyone including the President himself has rejected the traitors talents....
But thats just fine. Just keep digging a hole with your mouth.... if you think America wants more of the same, and apparently you do, you are right in line with the neoconmen who are also clueless and you will enjoy the same rejection that they are...

A difficult sight to behonld, photographs of Rove/McCain side by side. They hope for the perpetuation of privilege -- old paradigm -- they do not know they are already dinosaurs.

Only moonbat libs (which includes the mainstream news media AND Keith Olbermann) hate Karl Rove, or think that he's evil, or whatever. In fact, if Rove had had his success for the Dems, he'd be their new hero, almost as exalted as Hugo Chavez.

The majority of Americans don't know who he is, and he'll never have an impact on any general election.

I know who Karl Rove is, he's a criminal.

One of things that still distunguishes 'Dems' is that they don't stoop as low as Republicans in politics. The GOP is always setting new standards of sleaziness - but it works on ill-informed losers like you.

Au contraire, jeers you asswipe. The majority of americans know that turd blossom is the "brain" behind prez fucksupalot. and he IS evil since he is the architect of the destruction of the constitution and the torture of prisoners, etc. I could go on but there isnt enough room on this forum.

And Id rather be a moonbat liberal than a fucking rethug tool like you.

Now go sit down on your little potty chair and STFU!!

I am not sure any libs I know would have a hero who spent $3.2 bill of their kids money, wage a war that has cost 4000 US lives, maimed 10,000 others and bankrupted our military and our treasury.

That really sounds like a CONSERVATIVE HERO.

Nice job McBrainless! Please keep anything you possibly can from the current administration. I refuse to believe ANY republican will win the general election. The republican party along with Ronald "Worthless" Reagan is DEAD. Hopefully we can now move on to alternative resources. Hey ever heard of the EV 1? The electric car? Look it up.

You also refuse to believe in the truth, but then you choose to believe what you NEED to believe.

Discussing the 1st Admendment with a right wing loser like yourself is is a wast of time...but thanks for the offer.

And I'm sure your referring to "idiots"...such as the oil componies...right???

Haven't you heard? The RNC has decided to "allow" the Democratic Party to win this time. That will give the voters long enough to forget that the Republican Policies don't work for anybody but their rich friends. This way, they can sell all you idiots on the Reagan Revolution again in 2012 and win back the Presidency.

History repeats itself, over and over and over again.

It matters not at all whether he flew one mission or one thousand.

What the USA did to the people of that small and impoverished Asia country was one of the great war crimes of the 20th century.

And this it shall remain, no matter the legions of revisionists and never-knew-to begin-with-ists.

He flew OVER Vietnam. He wasn't on the ground, up close and uncomfortable with the reality of what we were doing to that country and its people. My Limbaugh-loving brother wonders why we didn't just drop the bomb on Nam and be done with it, to which the rest of the family jumped on him, shouting, "What the fuck did they ever do to this country to deserve anything we did to them.!!!?"

McCain is a phony. He is a ridiculous little man, all puffed up and truly believing he's a hero. He's in a bubble, but he's as potentially dangerous, if not more so, than the puffed up, ridiculous moron we now have in the WH living in his own bubble.

McCain is trying to lay with the devil, what ever he was eight years ago is gone. He is now trying to become GW Bush part three. He cares about himself, his party first then comes the country maybe. He say smaller government and less tax, he say leaving Iraq is a surrender yet he is in bed with those who made government bigger more involved in our daily lives, he supports thos who have driven our economy into the crapper, and he supports the wrong war while not saying a thing about those who attacked us. And he has broke out the fear card with the GOP spin of vote for anyone but us and the terrorist win. How dare he. With Bush and GOP control the terrorist have been winning. Not again never this country bought that line and has since smartened up well most that is. Time for McCain to retire if he really believes his own bullshit then one must question his mental state. One wack job in eight years is enough.

War hero status notwithstanding - and God knows the Republicans needed to dredge up SOMEONE who actually wore a military uniform - John McCain has demonstrated himself to be a shameless political whore with no courage of his convictions. Watching him embrace Bush and elements of the Bush machine after the campaign of character assassination and innuendo these people unleashed on him is nauseating to anyone with a conscience. Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran, indeed...
What next? Will he propose a repeal of McCain-Feingold? I'm not holding my breath... Puta.
