Nobel Winner: Obama Will Be Assassinated If He Wins

STOCKHOLM (AFP) - If Barack Obama becomes the next US president he will surely be assassinated, British Nobel literature laureate Doris Lessing predicted in a newspaper interview published here Saturday.

Obama, who is vying to become the first black president in US history, "would certainly not last long, a black man in the position of president. They would murder him," Lessing, 88, told the Dagens Nyheter daily.

Lessing, who won the 2007 Nobel Literature Prize, said it might be better if Obama's Democratic rival Hillary Clinton were to succeed in her bid to become the first woman president of the United States.

"The best thing would be if they (Clinton and Obama) were to run together. Hillary is a very sharp lady. It might be calmer if she were to win, and not Obama," she said.

I think its very interesting that on the full article (Yahoo) they show a photo of Obama instead of the idiot writer Lessing.

Why not show a photo of her?

Ms. Lessing, at 88 years of age, should forgo future

interviews.

"The Cleft" her sci-fi writing is about the world being

all female until suddenly and for no reason, women

began giving birth to males. I believe she first referred

to them as "monsters" (?) and later named them

"squirts." She claims to not be a man-hater

and was married twice and divorced twice.

Her second husband, Gotfried Lessing, became the

East German Ambassador to Uganda, years after their divorce, and was

murdered in 1979 during the violent rule of Idi Amin.

They had a daughter and perhaps his murder is partially

responsible for her recent comment.

She, also, once wrote about the lives she wished her

parents would have had if they had not had to live

during wartime.

Her writings are very interesting and honored however,

her current public statement is irresponsible.

Keep on writing, Doris, but skip giving interviews.

Doris Lessing...­Born in *1919* people. Her parents were swingin' through all the British colonies at the time. She was born in Iran and moved to Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Then she became a Communist and married the later German ambassador to Uganda.

Considering how she grew up in a time when white people were the clear overlords of Africans - and had first hand enjoyment of overlordship - do you really expect her to deliver an unbiased view of the matter?

Well, of course, that is an obvious risk. He's willing to take it. I think Clinton would be at risk as well. Lessing has in my opinion given very, very little thought or attention to the realities of US politics. These remarks are kind of knee-jerk, based on our past, and a naive view of our politics. I wouldn't be surprised of these comments were coaxed out of her by an interviewer.
