AMEN

I was halfway out the door just thinking about Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Then came OBAMA.
He actually got me to advocate support for a democrat, despite my disgust of party leadership. Now here comes the Clinton campaign. This two power crazed couple will make sure we all hate the party come convention time. Hillary will turn this nomination into a legal circus. Like I have predicted before, you have only seen a taste of the depths the Clintons will soon sink to. they will make a mockery of their party and themselves. All in front of the bright lights, for all of America to finally see. All for power....anything for power.
Its interesting that there is not a single person I have spoken to, who does not believe that the Clinton's will say do and try anything to win this nomination. Hillary will be handing out cabinet positions to super delegates in no time.
Many people are telling me that they are actually preparing themselves for a Clinton caused civil war at the convention.

Get ready for some low class shit,
and surprise! surprise!, the name Clinton will be smack dab in the middle of it.

people don't seem to understand the agenda that the clintons have. hillary wants to be presedent...BAD!! She will do anything, say anything to get it. and once she does, who do you think she will appoint as US ambassador to the UN?? why bill of course!! and HIS agenda is to be the head of the UN. Why be the head of a country, when you can get the world?? he would do whatever he has to to become the secretary general of the UN. and then do whatever he has to to start the formation of a one world government....headed by guess who!! you think the anti-christ will be bad....just wait for bill! then again....maybe he is!!

I'd like to believe you're kidding, but I doubt it. If you are kidding, then I apologize for missing the joke, and you can ignore what I'll say next. But if you're serious, what the fuck are you talking about? Do you understand the difference between spitballing any possibility, no matter how loopy, and stating it as a fact? Just because you can imagine Bill Clinton running the UN, and then the whole wide world, and then even beyond!... doesn't make it useful to post on a website as if there's some basis for it other than your overheated fantasies. Try using phrases like, "It wouldn't surprise me if..." or "Can't you imagine...?" so we'll know you're not as crazy as the scenarios you're peddling.

Do I take that to mean if Hillary's nominated you don't care if the Republicans win? I'm 100% for Obama, and I've got my issues with the Clintons, but throwing that baby out with the bathwater suggests the kind of batshit mentality that has Limbaugh and Coulter preferring Hillary to McCain. If you can't see that Hillary's much better than ANY Republican, look harder. Take Supreme Court appointments. They'll impact abortion rights, civil rights and affirmative action, criminal justice, death penalty, habeus corpus, detainee representation, tort plaintiff rights, environmental rights, consumer rights... just to name a few.

That's right! I won't vote for Obama. Thanks to him, I am voting my conscience and it isn't Obama for President.

If a Republican is elected, so be it. Our country will survive as well as it will survive that phony, Obama.

I would rather see a vietnam vet who has earned this place in history in the white house than Obama, who thinks he is entitled simply out of arrogance and skin color.

It's disturbing to read that anyone would consider casting a protest vote at this juncture. It's akin to throwing your vote away.

Will any of you protesting democrats still feel superior if "McCain the Insane" is elected? You may think a protest vote is an act of integrity, but it's a selfish and egotistical thing to do when the stakes are so high.

Clearly, Donna Brazile is a "Black Person" first and foremost... I am NOT speaking of her skin color, either... I suspect her order of importance is: Black Person, Black American (African American), American, Democrat...

Question: Two Super Delegates... Kerry and Kennedy... Endorsed Obama, both... Mass. was won clearly by Hillary... Do they represent the people of their State and Vote Hillary, or go against the people of their State and vote Obama???
We know Donna's answer... We know Obama's answer.... Who do the Super Delegates represent???

If Clinton got 55% in Massachusetts and Obama got 38% and there are more than two Superdelegates from our State. There are many congresspersons, mayors and party leaders here who would vote for Hillary. A minority of Superdelegates would vote for Obama. What's the big deal?

Amen.

That would be almost as much of a rape of the people as that Florida joke in 2000.

Politicians, high-rollers, whores (politically-speaking), and the like do NOT elect our f-cking president. That's the people's f-cking job.

Or at least it's supposed to be.

MarkInIrvine...
Donna Brazile is a Racist... She was the first I heard to inject Racism into the MSM...
ATTENTION: Obamaramas... A commentor said:
Soldiers are dying in Iraq, who cares about them?
Pimping out seems a bit trivial in comparison!
Perhaps NOT... Perhaps it is the very root of what got us into an Invasion/ Occupation of Iraq... Read the comments that Rationalize why the "Pimping" comment is ok... Our Moral Standards have become very sleazy... With a few Notable exceptions, Obamarama followers agree Chelsea is fair game...
Clearly, Donna Brazile puts Race first and the USA second... Donna believes in Obamaramas two Americas... America and Black America... That seems sick to me... Donna and many fellow Obamarama followers should stop projecting your beliefs onto Hillary..... Please, grow up and take response-ability for your beliefs... You're so filled with Hate and Anger, that you project that Hate and Anger onto Hillary and actually believe it is who she is, rather than a mirroring of your Beliefs...
I understand young people thinking a Candidate such as Obama will bring the "change" he speaks of... That is the Hope Card played in every Campaign... Hope as though the embedded powers are going to be magically changed... That the Two Political Parties who Control the Country are going to change and give up control...
WAKE UP American Voters... We're being scammed again....
G W Bush was going to change the culture of Washington D C and have the most ethical Administration ever, as you may recall... G W Bush was change without substance and MSM supported... Lots of words... G W Bush never served his Country... He joined the National Guard for a future Political resume...
Like Bush, the Obamarama "change" without substance is being MSM promoted too... Obamarama got elected to the Indiana US Senate, but is serving himself... Not even one term of service...
Hmm, like the proverbial Deja Vue all over again???

Clinton gets her hands dirty and knows how to build coalitions, do deals, and get things done, for sure. she's no stranger to rocks & hard places. Her constituents in Western NY will admit that. Making sausage isn't pretty, though.

Obama can sure work a crowd, and his words reach hearts and stir souls. He energizes people to expect better, and to do better, but he's a little short on national-level experience, and voters wonder exactly how he plans to get all that done.

These two strong candidates bring to the table very different but entirely complementary sets of skills. As one enthusiastic team pulling together, they would be unbeatable, and maybe more importantly, like no single candidate could probably do, they'd likely so energize voters they'd come in with a strong progressive Congressional majority, too.

Then the dilemma would be which parts of democracy need fixing first. Progressive think tanks, are you working on that now, I hope?

...what ever happened to doing what's right?

why caint we just do what's right one time?

why is it the greed always has to win.

isn't the univers supposed to be balanced?

How is it the dark side wins so so so so so much.

the biggest secret is that all the people need to do is unite and we would free ourselves.

Choos the one who is best and we will be fine.

The Democratic party is almost toast at this point. They have no one to blame but themselves (this seriously disaffected Congress to be specific). And as I've said before, I'll say again and again, the worst thing that could happen to the GOP is for the Democratic party to crumble. Because that will be the end of the two-party system.

What's Donna Brazile supposed to do? Threaten to go to the GOP? She speaks for many of us when she expresses the dissatisfaction with how the party has handled itself through these most difficult times.

IF the only way to end the two-party system is by defecting from the Democratic Party, then sign me up!

I have no time to read the other comments, so I apologize if this has been covered. Listening to Ms. Brazille on NPR's Diane Rhiem Show this morning, I say the chosen title to this article completely misrepresents her position. In relating her opinions on the superdelegates, Ms. Brazille's position was "wait and see" (as in "let all the races be decided and see what the results are before making decisions on who to back") versus the combative position displayed by this item.

I am really enlightened by the black democrats who suddenly don't like the system they endorsed before barak came along. Now if the party will not change the rules they agreed on, they will not support the party. Ever heard of Jessie Jackson strong arming businesses to support affirmative action? Also I thought it was just right wing bigots who hated Hillary, so imagine my horror to find that left wing democrats were filled with the same hatred. You both have opened my eyes to the democratic party as it really is under the skin. At least the Russ Limbaugh people were honest and open from the start unlike the Brazils of this world who were in reality using the Party for their own ends. After this election I am gone .Alas poor Bobby I knew him well.

BigBen: It is not the Obama supporters wanting to change the rules mid-game. Obama didn't campaign in MI or FL because the rules "said so." It is more Hillary folks who are wanting to change rules so that now MI and Fl will count.

IF Superdelegates do decide who the nominee is - don't waste the public's time and resources with the pretense that this is a democracy.

BigBen: FYI, NONE of the Democratic candidates campaigned in Florida. I don't know why the Obama people keep insinuating that Hillary campaigned in Florida, which she did not, and they also keep saying, well, because no one campaigned in Florida the results are "an illegitimate fabrication" (quoting John Kerry there), despite the record turnout. Now, setting aside the issue of the delegates being stripped away which, true, does render the election a "beauty contest" (unless the DNC comes to their senses and seats the Florida delegates), it was still a fair, proper election with a record turnout. We have the internet, C-SPAN, newspapers and even indoor plumbing here in Florida. So, even without the slick TV ads and the personal appearances by the candidates, believe it or not, we were perfectly capable of making an informed decision about who to vote for. And we happened to not vote for Obama! So he is quite happy with dismissing the election results and disenfranching the voters. I guess that is his new politics of inclusion. NICE.

This is about the people not about Barack and not about the DLC. The people voted in Florida and Michigan. So it is ok to waste the public's time and money on elections that already occurred? Hello... they already voted! Voting is what democracy is all about. You can't have it both ways. Count all the delegates or at least count all the voters. Not some delegates and some voters.
