McCain-Obama Parody: Like Hope, But Different
Obama's not the only one to have fans singing his speeches. Check out this latest one, featuring the words of John McCain:

Can't wait for Obama v. McCain.
The funniest comment I heard about McCain was on the Colbert Report. When McCain was in Michigan, while standing in front of a sign saying "No surrender" he told the crowd, that the jobs weren't coming back. During the speech he went on to say that we can't give up on Iraq. Colbert says on Iraq, McCain's slogan is "No surrender" but on jobs coming back to Michigan McCain's slogans is "No,Surrender".
The original was very inspirational . . . but they left out my, rather sizeable, demographic group . . . MAWGFO . . . middle-aged white guys for Obama! We're here and we're proud! Obama '08!
Does 56 still count as middle0aged? I FEEL old.
Obama's views on the State of Israel:
Martin Peretz of The New Republic -- a supporter of Obama and of Israel -- had this to say about Obama's Foreign Policy team:
"I have my qualms, as you may know, about Barack Obama, and most especially about what his foreign policy might be. If elected (and actually before he were to be elected), the first decision he would have to make would be who would represent him in the transition to power from early November to January 20. And, frankly, I get the shudders since he has indicated that, among others, they would be Zbigniew Bzrezinski Anthony Lake, Susan Rice and Robert O. Malley." Lake and Brzezenski both earned their spurs in the Carter Administration. Jimmy Carter, of course, has led a very public campaign of vilification against Israel-defaming it as an apartheid state (a view that Obama's Pastor would concur with).
Israel has enjoyed decades of special treatment. Why should that persist at US expense?
Less money for all asshole countries. We don't need to support the wars of others.
We don't even need to fund the one we have.
Bring em home, or would it be safer to leave them in Iraq?
Less money to Israel so they can't drop as many cluster bombs on southern Lebanon next time? I'm down with that. I hope Obama is for less money for the surrounding Arab states too. I can think of some better ways to spend that money domestically.
The main problem with Obama's foreign policy staff is that cuddly neocon, Dennis Ross. Dennis is a complete fraud
Dennis is about as sane as John Bolton - it's just that he's a little quieter and not as snarly - but just as deadly or more so to a honest brokering of the Israeli Palestinian conflict.
Obama should ditch Dennis or offer him to McCain - I'm sure Podoretz et al would enjoy a 'good cop' for their Neocon warmongering.
Dennis is DANGEROUS and should be DITCHED
Can you provide some facts and links to back up your claims? I looked at the Dennis Ross Wikipedia page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Ross
And I looked at this 2004 Mother Jones Interview:
http://www.motherjones.com/news/qa/2004/10/09_404.html
which said:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[He] is highly critical of the current administration’s course.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nothing from those two sources indicated he is a neo-con in any way. I'm not saying your wrong, I would just like more information so I can make an informed decision.
Yeah, why don't we keep Kindasleasy Rice, Wolfowitz, Perle, Negroponte, and all the good old boys in there. They're doing SUCH a great job with the foreign policy.
LMAO!! Best laugh I've had in a while. This is brilliant!
I especially love the latino guy going 'cien anos!' and then saying 'hey, wait a minute'.
LOL
WOW! Make that last 30 seconds of that McCain video a commercial in November and we could sweep all 50 states!
The contrast is hilarious.
Yes we can...uhm, but do we all have to be young and beautiful, or can I come too?
Oh, get over yourself and stop judging people on how they look - we're all just people. Those people in the video, they're talented and wear a TON of make-up and spend way too much time thinking about their clothing choices or having someone else do it for them...
so what.
...just laugh and enjoy...
...laugh and enjoy!
I just want to know when America has been invaded?
The War of 1812
yeah but that was so long ago no one even remembers when it happened.
Pearl Harbor: December 7th, 1941
Pearl Harbor: December 7th, 1941

That was no more an "invasion" that 9/11. It was a devastating air attack, but no Japanese troops occupied any part of Hawaii ... which was not even technically a part of America then. At least it wasn't a state.
Actually, you could make a claim that it was during the Civil War. After the South seceeded from the Union they declared themselves an independent nation, so the Battle of Gettysburg, among others, was technically an invasion of U.S. soil by a foreign power.
Japan invaded and occupied the Aleutian islands of Attu and Kiska during World War II.
It would have all been a big joke if there hadn't been over 4000 American casualties (most from frostbite, disease, booby traps, and friendly fire) retaking them, and if the native people hadn't suffered so much during their evacuation and relocation to the rainy Alaska panhandle.
2001 - under a Republican administration
NoMo--thank you for reminding us that the only attack we have suffered since 1941 has been on Bush's watch--or is it "stopwatch"? Cause he sure didn't pay any attention to all the warnings that came his way. The guy didn't give a rat's ass about protecting the US then and he doesn't now. He doesn't care for this country or our citizens at all. Never has--never will.
Rethugs hate their country but love their non-competitive contracts. War profiteering--the Rethug way.
And that remained the only attack on US soil other than the seige of Baltimore and DC in 1812 until Condi blew off her job so she could marry her man. Louisiana was not a state. Hawaii was not a state. Neither was Alaska.
I think our decision to invade Iraq was a text book example of "war lust". What a pity that our great nation has become, in this respect, a monster. But then look at whom the SCOTUS appointed. George W. Bush, a petty tyrant.
It could have been a duet with Hillary.
Limbaugh has one he likes to run, "Who'll Stop McCain" -
the group does a pretty good imitation of the Creedence Clearwater original, "Who'l Stop The Rain". I wonder - there's a lot of these musical political parodies out there,
at least since 2004. Is there a web site where you can download them?
Link?
Oddly enough, Joe Scarborough came up with the best anti-McCain slogan, yet!
Because McCain told auto workers in Michigan that their jobs were never coming back at almost the same time he was telling people that we'd be in Iraq for a hundred years, (and there's "more wars coming") Scarborough said he had a great campaign slogan:
"Vote for John McCain! I promise more wars and less jobs."
Can we beat these guys in November?
(everybody) Yes, WE can!
Obama in '08
That is pretty good. McCain won't be elected because his own party hates him. He's a good man, but maybe not the best choice for president. They're probably feeling the same way about him that Democrats feel about Hillary Clinton.
No, he WAS a good man.
Almost right up to the point when he sang "Bomb, bomb, bomb. Bomb, bomb, Iran"
Maybe McCain and Obama should join their slogans together.
"Yes we can" "Bomb Bomb Iran"
Then perhaps the Middle East will be safe from a threat of nuclear war from president Ahmandinejad who has stated a desire to wipe Israel from the face of the map.
First, Ahmadinejad didn't say that, and endless repetition of that falshood won't make it any more true. Second, Ahmadinejad is relatively powerless in the Iranian government. Third, Iran doesn't possess nuclear weapons, though it does possess the technology capable of producing one. Fourth, despite the relative power of the mullahs, Iran's government is not a monolithic authoritarian state, but rather one with multiple competing factions and shifting alliances. Fifth, Iran is not an existential threat to Israel, but rather a deadly nuisance that can be contained through diplomacy, international pressure, and, yes, the judicious and calculated threat of force if necessary.
You can squabble over the exact translation, but Ahmadinejad's intention was to wipe Israel either from a map, or history... take your pick.
Ahmadinejad is the mouthpiece of Iran and therefore he speaks for Iran. Bush speaks for America even though most sane people disagree with him.
Iran possesses nuclear technology with the ability to obtain nuclear weapons within a few years.
Can you also contain any nuclear technology that might leave Iran, and eventually end up in the hands of terrorists?
Whoa there! Ahmandinejad has about as much real power as the mayor of San Francisco to make Iranian policy. He just has a big mouth. Don't you remember, it's the Iyatollah ("Great Leader") who has all the power in Iran. And the Iyatollah just told Ahmandinejad to shut the hell up (paraphrasing, of course) and focus on fixing the Iranian economy. That was about 2 weeks ago. Heard anything from Ahmandinejad since then? Well? Why not?
Everyone, all together: "Because the Great Leader, the Iyatollah told him to shut up.
