Bill Clinton Smoke Mirrors

The Examiner:

With Virginia considered Hillary Clinton's best chance in the Potomac Primary, Bill Clinton packed his schedule with three stops Monday in the Old Dominion, where he tried to convince voters that his wife's experience trumps Barack Obama's "smoke and mirrors" candidacy....

..."You have to decide what this election is about," Clinton told a room of 600 students, his voice hoarse from making four campaign speeches a day earlier in the District and Maryland. "You have to decide what makes the best president. You want someone with the right vision, the right plans and ability to get the job done. If that's the test, I don't think the question is close." Outside of those traits, "all the rest is smoke and mirrors," Clinton said in reference to his wife's more charismatic rival.

Sorry, Bill, no one likes you!

You are the worst example to all youth. You are the world pain!

94 "I" in 10 minutes, just stay in the mirror!

Here's your biography:

“The petty man is eager to make boasts, yet desires that others should believe in him. He enthusiastically engages in deception, yet wants others to have affection for him. He conducts himself like an animal, yet wants others to think well of him.”

“Entire ignorance is not so terrible or extreme an evil, and is far from being the greatest of all; too much cleverness and too much learning, accompanied with ill bringing-up, are far more fatal.”

“A man not honorable in his marital relations is not usually honorable in any other."

"The real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light."

And what do you think about a man who smokes crack cocaine while in public service.. Do you have a poem for him?

Your arrogant judgmental posts are making you less likable as well my friend.

Maybe it'd behoove you to consider the quote: "Judge not lest yea be judged".

I wonder what your closet looks like mr/ms lily pure. And don't claim you've made no mistakes in life.. I've seen plenty all ready.

"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. "

Obama fits into the First and Hillary falls into the Third.

Sorry, Bill, go live your parallel lives. Don't forget your mask! And stay away from children!! I don't want them tinted!

To user168:

How can you begin to pretend to define wisdom.

It's real easy to reflect ... when you have NO experience to call upon, my dear. It doesn't take any time that way.. ergo... the change, change, change, blah blah chant.

It's also real easy to imitate: which Obama is doing all over the place, especially when he takes Hillary's quotes... right at the debate even.. and uses them 3 seconds later as his own. Now there's imitate.. over a period of years in life.. and there's parrot.. without demonstrating what you're made of.

your third point: Experience: well enough said about that above. So far it's all a pile of empty promises and pretty speeches... with nothing to back it up..

As for YOU defining Hillary as the bitterest.... Well first of all.. there is no such word, my dear. it would be phrased: most bitter..

So I think it'd be wise for us to wait until you apply your 3 ways to wisdom formula on yourself for a decade or so; and then you'll probably understand the TIME it takes to become wise.

Now you know why Hillary lost by nearly 30 points in a state she should have been more competitive in. I hope Bill keeps talking...

For over one year I've read and heard the media talk about how Hillary Clinton thought the 2008 race would be a slam-dunk for her. I've read and heard all about the "Clinton Machine" that was supposed to be a powerful political force.

Yet ................... it has all been media chatter and propaganda that people on both sides of the fence have bought into.

I am an independent voter. I belong to no political party. I vote for both Democrats and Republicans. Because of this, I do my homework when it comes to choosing which candidate to vote for. I do not vote for anyone because he or she strums the strings of my emotions.

In November I will vote for the person that I truly believe will be best for the country overall and for its future progress as a superpower nation.

That's why I will not vote for Barack Obama if he becomes the Democratic nominee. He doesn't yet have the kind of "cojones" that I believe a president must possess to be a world leader.

It's a pity that Hillary Clinton has not responded more pointedly to Obama's jabs on her Iraq vote, because it has been very convenient for him to hold a popular-opinion position on Iraq when he was not yet an elected Senator at the time the Senate vote came down, and was not actually forced to cast a vote one way or the other.

Have Obama's single-minded supporters forgotten that Bush also convinced England and other U.S. allies to support him in attacking Iraq/Hussein?

It's also a pity that Hillary Clinton has not put Obama on the spot and forced him to explain the persona-vs-politico contradictions from his Chicago/Illinois days.

You're the kind of voter the Democrats need if they're going to win the election. It's clear, at least on HuffPo, they feel they can win without the progressive Republicans, so they should really try to lure in Independents. But the problem with Independents is that they're...well...independent and can't be counted on to fall into neat little categories. I know some other Independents who are agonizing over who's best in this election, and about half are voting Republican, and the other half are waiting to see if the Dems produce a candidate they like. However, reading this blog, you'd think all the Dems need to do is nominate someone and that person will automatically become President. I guess since the Democrats didn't need Republicans, Libertarians, Independents, etc in '04 they don't need them now.

Cojones Hillary should release her tax records and while she's at it should also release the list of the donors of Bill's foundation and the secret health care records from her days as first lady.

And Obama should release his records and explain how he got so rich so quick on a community worker salary.

I'd love to know how he did that so I can buy a multi million dollar house too after a couple of years in government service.

It depends on what you mean by "cojones"...do you mean somebody with the arrogance and gall to lie about reasons for a war of choice against a country that had done nothing to us, a war that has already killed at least a half-million Iraqi citizens and 4,000 of our military or people who have aided and abbetted this liar.

I sincerely hope that most people have another definition.

Lisa.. She can't put Obama on the spot because the media promotion of Saint Obama was too busy, hiding his flaws and promoting her lynching.

Obama won't debate her because he knows his numbers will plummet if people get to see him in real action. The fantasy must live on.. until the Republicans have him in their clutches..

Lisa:

Hillary hasn't been able to put Obama on the spot because of the media - almost black out of her. It's only starting to reverse in the last couple of days, because of public pressure - demanding open HONEST coverage.. not this marketing campaign for McCain/Obama and the witch hunt against Hillary.

What mainstream media has done to Hillary and in turn to the American public, by spinning and hiding the truth is close to CRIMINAL.

With his history with cigars, I'm not sure I'd bring up smoke.

And, no, I'm not a winger, not buying into Republican talking points, not an anti-feminist, not longing for Jesse Jackson, not living in a fairy tale, not shucking and/or jiving, not falsely hoping and not trying to define "is".

I am, however, tired of cleaning up after their messes when we ought to be doing something that really mattered.

You just had to know Bill could not keep up the good behavior. Expect to see allot more of him next week. That's been their strategy all along, he comes out attacks, stirs it up then retreats. There's that saying "no such thing as bad publicity". Obama is getting all the media attention now, Bill's out to fix that.

I want to say simply this: To begin, I am an Obama supporter. I don't think he is the second coming nor do I think that Hillary Clinton is an evil person. There are significant problems that I have with Sen. Clinton's views about politics and how to best serve America. Obama, Clinton, McCain - I have a healthy respect for these candidates and their supporter but I only get one vote. And I don't use it to spite anyone, or to teach someone a lesson (as if they would get that information) I want the best America - A safe America, a leading America, a prosperous America. Supporters are fine but thank God most of these supporters aren't running for President. America is too full of anger and I believe, we need a leader that can move away from that.
Please people, we have to start voting for the best America as we see it. Research the candidates - make up your mind and make the right choice for you - whatever that is.
