Bill Clinton Smoke Mirrors

The Examiner:

With Virginia considered Hillary Clinton's best chance in the Potomac Primary, Bill Clinton packed his schedule with three stops Monday in the Old Dominion, where he tried to convince voters that his wife's experience trumps Barack Obama's "smoke and mirrors" candidacy....

..."You have to decide what this election is about," Clinton told a room of 600 students, his voice hoarse from making four campaign speeches a day earlier in the District and Maryland. "You have to decide what makes the best president. You want someone with the right vision, the right plans and ability to get the job done. If that's the test, I don't think the question is close." Outside of those traits, "all the rest is smoke and mirrors," Clinton said in reference to his wife's more charismatic rival.

Now Bill, perhaps telling the American people that we are all MORONS might not be the best way to attract us to your proxy!

CONCEDE.

The problem with Bill is one of over confidence. It's starting to look like he was so sure of Hillary's nomination and ascension into the oval office, he didn't think the consequences of losing all the way through. Should Obama win the nomination and presidency, Bill will lose his seat as the head of the party. Therefore, Bill has a tremendous stake in the outcome of this election. Once he feels like he's marginalized, he'll be capable of anything. This thing is going to get extremely dirty at the end - I don't think he'll hesitate to destroy the party as they grasp for power.....

So Bill is Burkle a figment and how about HSU is his money still as sweet as it was. The F Million that Hillary whipped out the ol checkbook and wrote the check on, all her senate wages and book deals. Yep sure. What else is up the sleeve as you are sounding like a sour grapes kind of loser? Sad but now it is time for the red eyes to come out as Hillary sees the crown of jewels turn to crap. Sore losers are hard to deal with so let it go.

Smoke and Mirrors? If that's the case, Sen. Clinton's campaign isn't worth a thing because it is being beat by a smoke and mirrors campaign.

How can the Clinton machine let that happen?

"smoke and mirrors campaign"

I've said the same thing about Obama's camp, but since both Hillary -and- Obama have had reported Tony Rezko/Norman Hsu campaign finance connections, I'd express that both campaigns are, 'smoke and mirrors.' And with HuffPost reporting that McCain's camp is reportedly awash in Abramoff money, can anyone really blame me when I express that I won't be voting for any of these three empty-suit presidential candidates??? I'll vote to help keep Democracy alive and well, but I'll be voting for a write-in candidate, not for Hillary, Obama, or McCain!

Having expressed this, I offer my sincere congratulations to Sen. Obama and his supporters for winning my old home state of Virginia. I hope you all celebrate your victory; you all deserve it. :)

I was saying the same thing about Obama, since my candidate is Kucinich, but this video interview changed my mind.

I can't stand Obama supporters. All they do is trash talk the Clintons. They are as ugly as republicans.

I will NEVER vote for Obama in Nov.

What every you want to call it is fine with me. I fined the trash here by Obama supporters no better than Republicans. The Clintons have been the best thing that has happen to the Democrat party in 50 years. You will not win my support by Obama supporter trash talk.

I will NEVER vote for Obama in Nov.

PERIOD!

I lost my job because Billy Bob gave China MFN, why shouldn't I trash talk them?

Lets be real about this, maybe if you bought an American car and didn't shop at Wal-Mart where everything is made in China you would still have yourself a job.

I will have no problem sleeping, you on the other hand will be crying yourself to sleep. You Obama supporters who piss off Clinton supports are going to wish you kept the trash talk to yourselfs. Obama supporters are no better than Republicans.

I will NEVER vote for Obama. NEVER

His campaign is my exit out.

I get you.

He won't get my "Democratic" vote.

No way. He's like the worst of the Repubs.

But, that means....we're open to any candidate who speaks to our issues.

I can live with that.

why do the Clinton surrogates keep sabotaging Hillary?

Bill calls Obama "smoke and mirrors" and Ed Rendell (Gov Penn) says white Penn voters "may nto be ready" to vote for african americans--

Aren't the surrogates on the morning talking points??

I am starting to really feel bad for Hillary -

Don't cry for me Virginia ... (sung to Don't Cry for me Argentina)

Yeah Obama won Virginia ...

How can you feel bad for someone who missed one of the most important votes in the Senate surrounding the little bit of our Constitution that remains ... ??? She has sold everyone down the river to her corporate masters ... and we are going to take this country back ...

Thank you ndolmar ... the right vision indeed
Yes the garnished wages and penalties (which she admitted on stephanopolous after much prodding)
are a disaster ... her universal health care brought to you by big pharma and insurance corporations

Well Obama won Virginia ... and I am crying too tears of joy

Maybe you should wonder whether it is the members of Hillary's own campaign that don't want a woman president or don't believe in their guts that she is truly the best candidate. I don't feel sorry for her because if what I posit is true, it just shows that her claims that she is the best "CEO" for this country were even more unfounded. The "CEO" chose poor high level executive managers and hired the wrong lower level staff. Her entire campaign is an indication that she is not ready to lead anyone anywhere much less the most powerful nation in the world.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:01 PM on 02/12/2008

Yep. If you can't run a campaign or pick the right advisers, how is she going to run the country?

All that name recognition, 30 points up in the polls, and this is where she is?

Obama is more capable.

Why? It doesn't bother me in the least. That's exactly how I see Obama.

If you made up your mind to vote for him already, who cares what you think?

He's talking to undecides and to those who aren't comfortable for one reason or another.

I don't feel badly for Hillary. She's put up with this philandering husband the big mouth Bill for all these decades because she wants power through him. If he delivers this kind of crap on her behalf, she only has her own greedy self to blame.

the right vision: iraq and iran vote
the right plan: garnished wages to support mandatory health care

these are arguments that will be made from the right. not to mention the experience issue, which for a minute there, i thought finally had been put to rest. still, there are some clinton supporters who seem to think that not supporting the only candidates who had experience (biden, dodd, richardson) doesn't showcase their hypocrisy in supporting clinton.

And Bill said he didn't mean Obama's candidacy was a 'fairy tale'. This is proof of what he really meant with that.

That was referring to his claim that his "war" vote was so different than hers. And that was a fairy tale.

This is not suggesting his campaign isn't valid. Obviously, it is.

This is suggesting that he's got nothing much that's very substantial to say.

Bill was dead right about the war stuff. And he's dead right again.

:)

And he (and Hillary) will "dead right" themselves a one-way ticket back to NY...watching Obama's inauguration on television.
