Any chance that a formal apology and her head on a plate will do instead of taxpayer dollars? Not a big fan of suing public entities..
Then perhaps they ought to hire competent people with IQs above that of an earthworm.
Randy
Well, after all, this IS a Red State.
Money talks.
If you just fire the officer that dumped the guy on the ground, that says that it was an individual problem, and the department's not responsible. When you sue the department for millions of dollars, suddenly everyone's job is on the line, and the department will be much more sure that something like this doesn't happen again.
Wow. This made my stomach turn. Especially the way the report just kept playing the horrid behavior of these pigs, over and over again. I hope this guy gets those officers for the millions of dollars he deserves. What a disgrace.
Yes, but you have to consider that the people of Florida are simply tired of having to deal with criminals like this guy who thinks he can just change lanes any time he wants to without even signaling.
It was way worse. He waved his arms and shook his head. The cops should have shot him.
At the very least these Lowest Common Denominator employees of the Sheriff department, AND the Sheriff himself, should have their hands and legs bound, sat in a chair, and then violently dumped face first on a hard tile floor.
I'm sure they fell out of a high chair or two on their way through a childhood pointed in the authoritarian direction of Officer Training Academy.
As the old addage goes, when the sheriff was born the pediatrician turned around and slapped his mamma.
I have seen despicable behavior among police officers in major cities all over the world but few consistently behave as arrogantly and confrontationally as they do in the US. Bad manners do not good public relations make!
Lucky you! I could never recall such treatment when emerging from so many blackouts.
Absolutely horrifying. I hope this guy can bring accountability.
Don't blame it on them; the accountants had nothing to do with this. Besides, what the hell would a CPA do when he got there? Count the paraplegics on the floor?
I am curious as to why the Pigs needed to know if the man was disabled? Was that germaine to anything "police" related, or just a perverse curiosity? I wish the article was more informative.
If the police have to detain any person who is disabled, the police become responsible for proper care of the individual. Surely, police have policies, education, facilities, and training for these events??
Assuming there was some actual need to know, other than sadism, - since paralysis is a medical condition, why was this individual not taken to a hospital and examined?
On second thought these officers give Pigs a bad name that real porkers don't deserve.
Obviously this piece of shit did not believe a handicapped person can drive. Automatic cars can be fitted with a steel device that enables the left hand to both accelerate and brake.
This is assault as well as cruel and unusual punishment. The cop should go to jail.
You know, anyone with even a teeny brain would have checked the guy's car and observed the hand controls. Then to dump the guy out of his chair right in front of the surveillance camera and cracking a couple of his ribs. Besides having a pulse, what other qualifications must an applicant to that police department possess? Jeez!!!!!
And yeah, if he sues, it'll cost us taxpayers in the end, but he can't just let this go.
Put yourself in that officer's shoes. She obviously has an IQ in the borderline retardation range of 71 - 80 and when she gives a simple command like, "Stand up so we can search you," this white muhphuka with an ivy league education comes out with "But I'm paraplegic
that big fat pig does not represent most police
obviously she shouldn't be one anymore and the white dude that walked by and laughed should be fired or suspended if he's a superior officer
that dude will sue i hope and that big fat black cop should pay for all his troubles
Yeah! What else can you expect from a pig but a grunt!
The shame of Florida!
seems to me were hearing more and more horror stories about police all over the place.Face it..they hate us....the government hates us..and we are basically hated in general worldwide.
Stuff like this makes me more afraid of "our" government than I am of terrorists.
i sincerely hope we get the names of those so called police officers..
We have we become !!!! sad sad sad
Henceforth we should get used to calling her the big fat black EX-cop.
The white shirt worn by the cretin who walked by laughing is a clue. The deputy who committed the obscenity, and at least on other in the video, are wearing dark uniforms. The white shirted one signifies a supervisory position. That son-of-a-bitch should be in jail.
Dunno, maybe is just me- but could we like raise the
admission standard for cops around the nation above
door knob level? just askin' .....
I say sue the shit out of them.
there's something wrong with people who decide to become cops, they lose all compassion for their fellow man, they're not even human.
Most of these "peacemakers" are so fear-driven that they make every average citizen a possible criminal. The day of "protect and serve" are long gone. We are filling our jails with drug users who will never be given any sort or treatment or counciling. Even give harsher sentences for people using certain kinds of drugs. The same dealer is on the same corner selling the same stuff and they seem to be using him/her as bait. To what end? What is with this shoot/taser first bullshit? Fear, baby, fear...
I hope he wins MILLIONS in his lawsuit.
This is SO disgusting!!!!!!
I second that!
