From Politico:

JOHN HARRIS: Senator, you were offended the other day for reasons that I think a lot of people understood by comments that were made on MSNBC. And in the wake of that, I heard from some of the people on your staff who say, to their surprise, they actually think that Fox News is giving you a better break than MSNBC. Is that your perception?

SENATOR CLINTON: Well, there was some independent study that my staff sent me -- we didn't do it -- but it was some independent study which seemed to suggest that, that in terms of the fairness of the coverage -- you know, look, I'm a mom first. I'm a candidate second. And, you know, I really am troubled by this pattern of behavior and comments that you hear.

JOHN HARRIS: Two-week suspension, you said that's inadequate for what was said. What would be adequate? Are you looking for a firing or something more?

SENATOR CLINTON: That's not my job, John. You know, that's the job of the people who run the network. But I think that they need to take a hard look.

This is like the third time they've had to apologize. And there are a lot of things that they haven't had to apologize for that might have merited one. So I wish they would take a look at, you know, some of the pattern of demeaning comments that are made on their networks.

On David Shuster and MSNBC becoming Shustered:
(emailed to all NBC & MSNBC execs)

The real shame of it is, as poorly thought out as Shuster's question/remark was, he is the real victim of this entire mess! He is the latest in a L O N G line of people to be "used" in order for the Clintons' to receive media attention for, yet again, being "victimized". It is noteworthy that Monica Lewinsky was younger than Chelsea Clinton is now when former President Clinton had his dalliance with her (Google her to see how she is faring Post-Clinton).

There is truth in the old cliche: If you can't stand the heat, then, stay out of the kitchen.

Senator Clinton in her letter to MSNBC stated, I am a mother first and a candidate second.

Mr. Shuster APOLOGIZED which is MORE than Senator Clinton has ever done for her vote for the Iraq war.

I think that it is important to note Senator Clinton has NEVER apologized for her war vote to ALL the mothers whose adult children are NO LONGER ALIVE to be "called names".

I use the term "Shustered" to note that MSNBC no longer reports on anything that could be construed as controversial about Senator Clinton; in fear of not getting Clinton to sign on for one of the two debates with MSNBC. Your company, is instead, gagging or pandering to Senator Clinton's victimization from two of your companys reporters/pundits.

This morning, on Morning Joe, I was disturbed to see that show being "Shustered". The guest was a political fact checker, AND checked on only 3 of the 4 candidates in the race for the Presidency. You fact checked Obama, McCain and Mike Huckabee.

Senator Clinton has re-started her smear innuendos (Exelon and Rezko) in her interview last night with WJLA (ABC) last night, it becomes important that fact checking is done on ALL of the candidates. To do less, IS pandering, lacks journalistic integrity and MSNBC and their advertisers will lose both my respect and my business for allowing themselves to be "Shustered".

"SENATOR CLINTON: Well, there was some independent study that my staff sent me -- we didn't do it..."

"Some independent study" means what, exactly? Politician-speak, once again, rather than plain English, with an intimation of objectivity in the "independence" of the finding of MSNBC's supposed bias--only to be followed by a sop to brainless, unassailable subjectivity ("I'm a mother, first...")

Reminds me of her waffling at the last debate over the Iraq war and her vote for the "Resolution to Use Force..." which she insists was not actually meant to...um...use force.

Yeah, "a mother first" sent other mother's children to die for a mistake she will not admit. There are mothers and there are MOTHERS.

part 3:

But the fact remains that Hillary Clinton agreed to a debate on Fox "news" despite all the not-very-nice things said about Chelsea (not to mention the "incredibly offensive" things spewed by Fox about Bill and her constantly). And she threatened to bail on MSNBC's debate, refusing to accept Shuster's apology and even Keith Olbermann's prostration. (The debate was canceled after Barack Obama agreed to another one on CNN.)

That means that she leapt at Shuster's remark as a way of keeping sympathy for her and her family in the news, a distraction from Obama's primary/caucus sweep this weekend. She used this Chelsea situation as a way to kick start some desperately needed fundraising.

And that, motherfuckers, is pretty much the definition of pimping."

Keep this up Alembic and I am likely to join your fan club. But be fairly warned that this type of honesty does not sit well with the crowd here at Clinton INC.

Rude Pundit Part 2:

February 23, 2007 on The Big Story with John Gibson: Regular contributor Dick Morris: "We have Hillary Clinton saying Chelsea was at the World Trade Center on 9/11 and was saved because she ducked into a coffee shop [when] she was five miles away asleep in bed and the phone rang and a friend said turn on the TV." To the Rude Pundit's knowledge, Morris has never apologized or been suspended from appearances for saying that either Hillary or Chelsea lied about 9/11.

January 7, 2008 on The Big Story with John Gibson: Regular contributor Michelle Malkin: "Hillary dragged her mother out and Chelsea, to remind everyone, that she has a womb, that she is a woman, that she's a human being." Of course, Malkin saying that Chelsea went unwillingly onto the campaign trail and that Hillary is using her as a prop received no notice, and no apology or suspension was needed.

When former Fox "news" and current MSNBC correspondent David Shuster asked if Chelsea was being "pimped out in some weird sort of way," he was asking a legitimate question in a stupid, "lookie-me-I-so-hip," bullshit way, the uncomfortable reporter equivalent of Nixon saying, "Sock it to me." The question was as legit as asking Dick Cheney about his lesbian daughter when she was campaigning for a president that opposes her rights as an individual.

In context, yeah, MSNBC's Chris Matthews has been a dick about Hillary Clinton. And David Brock over at Media Matters, who helped blow Shuster's remarks from a little aside on one of the lowest-rated shows on television to big, bad sexism, has a lot of anti-Hillary karma to work off, Brock being one of the primary reasons that Clinton is such an unfairly reviled figure.

My confusion here with the, "I was a mother first" comment. It doesn't fit the math. She keeps telling everyone she has 35 years of political experience. I thought Chelsea was 28. Hmmm. Let me do the math again........

this is pathetic (Billary's fondness for Fox)

Check out what the Rude Pundit has to say:

2/12/2008
"How Much for a Night with Chelsea?:
In just half an hour or so of searching, here's what the Rude Pundit came up with under the criteria "not exactly nice ways to talk about Chelsea Clinton" on Fox "news" over the last decade:

February 25, 1999 on Hannity and Colmes: Regular contributor Ann Coulter on Chelsea's view of one of Bill Clinton's "victims": "She's probably taken heart by his claim to Juanita Broaddrick that he's sterile. Those rumors about her looking nothing like him seem to be resurfacing again." So, just to make this clear: Coulter said that Chelsea would be happy if Bill wasn't her father. Like so many of her batsthit crazy statements, it went virtually unchallenged, and Coulter neither apologized nor was banned from appearances.

July 28, 2000 on The Edge With Paula Zahn: Zahn said, "Chelsea Clinton is leaving college in the fall to help her mom's political campaign. Is the first daughter showing her devotion to her parents, or is she merely their political pawn?" This was followed by an entire segment devoted to Chelsea's status as potential pawn.

April 15, 2002: Bill McCuddy in his "Foxlight" column: "Chelsea Clinton is hanging with a new homie. Here's a couple that paints an interesting picture — the former first daughter and Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs. That's right. They hooked up at a local New York nightspot recently and chatted for a while. Hey, between Secret Service for her and entourage for him, they both have a posse." It's okay if Chelsea has "homies" and if she "hooked up" with Diddy. "Hooked up" generally means "fucked," although the lingo has different, looser uses, much like "pimped."

The Obama cult on the left is strikingly similar to the "evangelical" cult on the right. All wide-eyed enthusiasm, chanting and empty rhetoric with no substance in reality.

I quess it is the result of our national obsession with consumerism. Americans seem to be hooked on advertising. The latest product line catches our imagination: "new and improved"; "yes we can"; "change" "unite" all make some of us feel that we can't live without the latest gadget (in this case Obama). To fill a void in one's life, people often look to a "savior". It really is a form of mass hysteria which will run its course just like the hoola hoop craze, CB radios, and the pet rock. I just hope the craze cathces up with reality before the Democratic party makes a huge mistake.

That's why I'm surprised that, instead of Obama, Democrats aren't choosing the one alternative who is running against him-- a person with a last name nobody has ever heard of, three decades of experience in elected office, and an obsession with focussing on issues of the greatest importance, regardless of what the polls say.

I've found the Hillary coverage on all NBC properties so offensive, I decided to go NBC free. It's great. I recommend it for any Clinton supporters. Show NBC you won't stand for its biased reporting and editorializing, from the awful Andrea Mitchell and repulsive Chris Matthews to Pumpkinhead Russert, host of The John McCain Show ... I mean Meet the Press. I do declare one feels much better about life when not watching any NBC shows. Spread it around! ;) P.S. You'll eventually understand how Hillary supporters feel ... when the media turn viciously on your man (and they will). Because the Obamaphiles are so nasty in their mean-spirited attitude toward HRC, we won't be there to cry with you when the fawning mass media turn en masse to destroy your golden boy. When it happens, will you all puhleeze be willing to apologize to us when warmonger McCain slinks into the White House, having beaten, badly, the Dreamy Man?

For me, a 55 year old woman and mother, (one of my degrees is in Women Studies), I find it completely repugnant that "gender" is being 'studied' instead of the character and the issues of each candidate.

The real shame of it is, that in reality, as poorly thought out and unprofessional as Shuster's question/remark was, he is the real victim of this entire mess! And of Paula Jones we can remember James Carville in defense of Clinton saying, "That's what happens when you drag a dollar bill through a trailer park."
And let's not forget the ole Linda Tripp who taped the Lewinksy calls. She was obliterated by the Clinton war machine. She might be living under one of those bridges that Edwards visits on a regular basis.
And shall we mention the lying Jennifer Flowers? What is she doing these days?
A good book would be "Because He Could" by Dick Morris former long term adviser to the Clinton's. It was Hillary who was sent out on what they called, "Bimbo Patrol." That is where Hillary set out to clean up Bill's messes.
What could possibly be more sexist than that? Keep this up and I just might join your fan club. This is all the stuff the Dems want to act like it never happened.
What's more? Anyone in their path that disagreed were destroyed. And in an email between her and the then Senator Goldwater during her first Hillary Care program, it was seek and destroy anyone who disagreed with the plan even to the point of telling them to expose their personal lives.

PART 2

There is truth in the old cliche: If you can't stand the heat, then, stay out of the kitchen.

It is one thing for Chelsea Clinton as an adult to be campaigning for her mother. However, then Ms. Clinton, is as fair game for the scrutiny of the press as any other adult campaigning on behalf of candidates in either party.

Senator Clinton in her letter to your company stated, I am a mother first and a candidate second.

Mr. Shuster capitulated and APOLOGIZED which is MORE than Senator Clinton has ever done for her vote for the Iraq war.

I think that it is important to note Senator Clinton has NEVER apologized for her war vote to ALL the mothers whose adult children are NO LONGER ALIVE to be "called names".

MSNBC IS reflecting the dug in good old boy network that is and always has been against Hillary, a woman who dared, dared I tell you seek the presidency...

After all we see that in every single post of every single one of the main democratic blogs. Hillary has done nothing more than what obama has done. But where's all obama's crap...wheres, his horrendous voting record in the Federal senate missing more votes than he voted on. And then trying to circulate all the lies about all the bills he drafted, wrote and supported...and how about that didn't know which button to push in the state senate. You would think someone running for president would have sense enough to hit the right button.

How about his friendship with auchi, the crooked arab in Britian, and the Iraqi electrican who was sentenced to jail and then escaped. How about his support for his half brother who wants to take over the dictatorship of Kenya...obama wants to send troops into Kenya. And that's just the few that didn't take much digging to find.
