Hillary Clinton has suggested that MSNBC has displayed a pattern of negative coverage of her campaign for President. Last night, Bill O'Reilly took that one step further, alleging that NBC openly supports her opponent, Barack Obama.

All of this comes on the heels of MSNBC reporter David Shuster's comment that Hillary was "pimping out" Chelsea by having her call the hosts of "The View" (as well as superdelegates) and after Chris Matthew's controversial comments about Hillary Clinton last month. Watch Bill defend Hillary's outrage:

The notion that NBC is somehow pro-Obama is utter nonsense. Like most media outlets (FOX is an exception), they like to go hyperbolic and spin any story in as dramatic a way as possible, regardless of which candidate it happens to favor. Since Clinton had been the presumptive frontrunner and inevitable nominee for all of 2007, Obama's wins have been hyped because they defied expectations.
Now this morning, after spending a week crowning Obama the frontrunner, MSNBC reports Quinnipiac University polls in Ohio and Pennsylvania: "Clinton TAKES lead in OH and PA."
"Takes" lead? Hasn't she consistently had similar double-digit leads in both states for eternity?! The analysts discussing these polls did nothing to put them into context or show any steady, increasing, or narrowing TREND relative to older polls. Also, while the date range of these 2 polls was displayed at the bottom of the screen, they failed to mention it in context either. These polls were taken from Feb. 6-12--from the day after Super Tuesday to the day of the Potomac Primary. So #1: it doesn't parse any tracking trends that may have started after Obama's Feb 9 and 10 sweeps, which may have started to give Obama momentum by Feb. 11 (Clinton may have been even further ahead in the portion of the poll conducted b/t Feb. 6 and Feb. 10), and #2: the poll is completely before the Potomac Primary sweep.
Yet MSNBC relies on a poll and spins it as Clinton "momentum." Please, there is no Obama bias. It's all about drama and ratings.

I agree. Journalism -- real journalism, that is, and not journalism/as/entertainment -- is supposed to be unbiased. NBC is about as unbiased as Pravda.

Proof that one can be insane and still be 100% right about something.

Right on the money on this observation.

As much as I hate O'Reilly, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Olberman can't really shoot back on this one either.

Oh, I see, to be objective means to pretend that Obama isn’t really winning the hearts and minds of the American people.

It's more about appealing to the hearts than the minds... People are going to be surprised and disappointed by how little he will get done if he does win.

For now he is running a textbook campaign based on the teaching of Edward Bernays, public relations expert and nephew of Sigmund Freud -- that people are not rational, not really moved by ideas, but are motivated by sexuality and emotional feel good slogans.

I don't care what any of the pundits have to say on the electric pacifier from Fox "News" to the Food Channel. Do what they did two hundred years ago. Read those papery things that they have in libraries, you know those old buildings that you pass on the way to get your Chinese TV at Best Buy so that you can see O'Reilly on a 50 inch flat screen.

Isn't O'Reilly a "far-right" ideologue?
Like Fox News doesn't have a looney right wing agenda. I hate how he acts like he speaks for the entire U.S. What a loofah-phone-sex dumbass hypocrite.
