Patti Solis Doyle Shakeup

New York Post:

A prominent member of the national Democratic Party has circulated a sharp e-mail saying the removal of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle was disloyal to Hispanics and should give "pause" to superdelegates and voters.

The e-mail from, Steven Ybarra, a California superdelegate who heads the voting-rights committee of the DNC Hispanic Caucus, was sent to fellow caucus members in the hours after word broke that Solis Doyle - the most prominent Latina in Clinton's campaign - would be replaced by another close Clinton loyalist, Maggie Williams, who is black.

Note to Mr. Ybarra. Hillary doesn't give a s**t what you think. It's anything to win. Wake up.

Steven Ybarra, a Democratic National Committee official and regional coordinator of Latinos for Dean called Rosario Marin, the former U.S. treasurer under President Bush who is now seeking the GOP nomination to compete against California Sen. Barbara Boxer, a "house Mexican for the Republicans." The attack was sent out in a mass e-mail to political activists, community leaders and a number of journalists this week.

You know, I can't say Hillary is simply doing whatever it takes to get elected. However, I don't truly believe she cares one whit about any one group of voters, only that she wins.

Here's a real gem about her values concerning America straight from Reuters and very scary:

Straight from Reuters? Try "straight from an independent blogger POSTING on Reuters" (with the standard, boilerplate opinion disclaimer from Reuters, right there on the page, where you obviously didn't READ it).

And now, from a real newspaper wearing big-boy pants...

Clinton Vows To Check Executive Power
Boston Globe -- October 11, 2007

>> Senator Hillary Clinton said yesterday that if she is elected president, she intends to roll back President Bush's expansion of executive authority, including his use of presidential signing statements to put his own interpretation on bills passed by Congress or to claim authority to disobey them entirely.

"I think you have to restore the checks and balances and the separation of powers, which means reining in the presidency," Clinton told the Boston Globe's editorial board.

She would do nothing about illegals. People feel that way now and she has not taken that position, why would she do it after knowing she was already elected once. Roll a smaller one next time.

Mr. Ybarra, it took you this long to figure out that the Clintons are interested in one thing and thing only...themselves!!!!

folks you're missing the point. patti doyle was out of her league. she was kept on because hillary valued loyalty over competence, much like bush/rumsfeld relationship. bad call on hillary's part. doyle lied about the state of the campaigns finances, and other strategic errors in judgement. i think hillary was reluctant to dump her because she is latino. but the bigger picture is hillary's judgement in running her campaign. time and time again her campaign has stumbled, i.e. bill's big mouth, campaign advisers/supporters going off about obama, playing the race card, drugs etc. all of this has backfired. the big question for me is, if she can't run her campagin, and make no mistake it is HER campaign, how is she going to run this country. look at her decision making skills. NOT SO GOOD.

Yo, Stevie... you look like a complete moron. Next thing, you'll be accusing the "Stop" signs in Latino communities of anti-Hispanic bias.

I'm sick of hearing white males vote this way, Hispanics vote that way,.... think American you fools!
I don't care if Obama was chartreuse - he is the only one that offers the hope for change.

Hillary is like Romney, keeps trying to say what she thinks people want to hear, but it isn't a marketing problem - it's an old product - a new label saying "new, improved" doesn't work for the Clintons.

"Tonight, the President gave Saddam Hussein one last chance to avoid war, and the world hopes that Saddam Hussein will finally hear this ultimatum, understand the severity of those words, and act accordingly. While we wish there were more international support for the effort to disarm Saddam Hussein, at this critical juncture it is important for all of us to come together in support of our troops and pray that, if war does occur, this mission is accomplished swiftly and decisively with minimum loss of life and civilian casualties."

You know who said that? HILLARY.

Its amazing that she still can't admit that she was wrong... she keeps misrepresenting and saying what she thinks people want to hear.

And a simple "I was wrong" would do wonders, but her inability to do that has caused her to lose my vote.

Ye, Hillary is a hawk. And nearly nine months after we invaded Iraq, she had this to say on Meet the Press:

"I think Saddam Hussein was certainly a potential threat" who "was seeking weapons of mass destruction, whether or not he actually had them." and "There was certainly adequate intelligence without it being guilded and exaggerated by the administration to raise questions about chemical and biological programs and a continuing effort to obtain nuclear power." Also: "We need more troops and a different mixture of troops." "Whether you agreed or not that we should be in Iraq, failure is not an option." From William Safire's column 12/08/03.

George Bush couldn't have said it better himself. I think people would have more respect for her if she had apologized for her IWR vote and support of the invasion.

I knew, and many of my friends - both GOP and Dem - knew before the IWR vote, that this would turn into the mess it has. Someone who wants to be president should at least have the foresight that we ordinary citizens had.

Disloyal to Patti!

An insensitive, ruthless and transparent strategy to lure black voters back to her!

Swings and roundabouts, gain some, lose even more Hispanic voters!

Steven Ybarra --- Your assesment of Hillary's change of campaign manager is totally biased...
There is nothing wrong with making changes in strategy while seeking to reach your goals.

Hillary used Solis-Doyle to win California, Arizona... and other states with a large number of Hispanic voters. Now, she is going to use Maggie Williams to try and pull black voters back into her camp.

It's called strategy.

I think that, while the Clintons are self centered, possibly elitists, intoxicated with money and power, and self serving politicians with Hillary now totally fixated on winning the Dem nomination, the reason for the switch has nothing to do with ethnicity. Neither of the Clintons are racist nor even seem to be showing any favor in this case. They are just exhibiting desperate and irrational behavior in throwing anything at the campaign to try to regain the upper hand. Both Solis Doyle and Williams are trusted aids to Hillary, and from what I can understand, quite competent. What the switch demonstrates I suspect, is that Clinton is unable to understand or admit that she is the problem.
