Chris Matthews: "I Felt This Thrill Going Up My Leg" As Obama Spoke

Last night during MSNBC's Potomac Primary coverage, Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann were discussing Barack Obama's speech. Matthews — who, in the past, has both cried over an Obama speech and compared him to Jesus — described exactly what happens to him when Obama speaks:

I have to tell you, you know, it's part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama's speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often.

Acts like a guy on meds. Maybe he's found the anti-depressant that works for him, but it makes him appear euphoric instead of balanced. Who knows? One thing is obvious: He gives his fellow anchors the creeps. No one has come right out with the story yet, but you can see them just pushing him a little to see if he'll go ahead and snap on air. If it happens in front of all of us, they can't be blamed for spilling the beans on a co-worker.

Chris Matthews has a man-crush that is getting seriously out of hand. Every time he listens to Obama speak he acts like a star-struck schoolboy. MSNBC is developing some very disturbing bias issues. Their pro-Obama genuflecting and anti-Hillary trash talk is putting them in the Fox News category. Fox, in fact, has been a little less rabid about the Democratic race.

Oh, he ogles good-looking young women on his show readily enough. But he has repeatedly made peculiar personal remarks about alpha male types: he slobbered all over President Unitard's stuffed-codpiece flight suit during that atrocious "Mission Accomplished" speech on the aircraft carrier; he's oozed all over "Maverick" McCain; he's gushed over Fred Thompson's manly aroma.

Forced and contrived "apologies" aside, he's been nothing but bitchy towards Hillary Clinton.

So it doesn't surprise me that Obama sends a thrill up his leg-- and I can imagine what comes running back down his leg, not to put too fine a point on it.

It's a comment on The Dumbing of America that this troubled fool is perceived as a "top-notch political analyst". He ought to be secluded somewhere unless and until intensive, long-term psychotherapy, er, straightens out his multiple issues.
