Clinton Online Shakeup

Washington Post's The Trail:

Along with the departures of campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle and deputy campaign manager Mike Henry, the Clinton campaign today revealed that two of its longtime online operation leaders are moving on.

"As part of the expansion of our Internet department following a tremendously successful month online, we will be adding 4 new staffers, two of whom will replace Kevin Thurman and Crystal Patterson, who moved on to new positions," said Clinton internet director Peter Daou. "Kevin and Crystal have been valued members of our team and we are grateful to them for their contribution to the campaign."

Err...Heads up to anyone donating to Sen. Hillary Clinton... This is not good.... Info you provided may be "rented out" By the Clinton campaign to InfoUSA

Clinton InfoUSA Ties Scrutinized

Political campaigns spend thousands, even millions of dollars to acquire good mailing lists.

Last year, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton took the unusual step of renting out some of her lists. The transaction once again highlights the Clintons' connections to a businessman who now faces questions from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Clintons are all about marketing - they are looking for new packaging, but the contents are still stale goods.

Obama at least offers the hope for change - no one else offers any hope. I want change!

Why anyone thinks a continuation of republicans saying something is black and democrats insisting it is white is something I can't understand.

Obama is attracting republicans and independents, the Clintons will get republicans sharpening their knives.

You have to wonder whether these people are falling out behind Doyle, or if Hillary is trying to pull a reshuffle. Personally, I don't think it's her campaign managers who are causing the slide, I just don't think she's addressing the issues that people are concerned about. If she's playing the rhetoric game against Obama she's going to lose. She should get back to giving real solutions to real problems, which is why she has Mark Penn (author of 'MicroTrends') on her side to chop up the voting public.

In the end, this may just be a sign that you can't just divide and conquer anymore in the way that Rove had Bush doing in '00 and '04. You have to speak to the issues clearly and consistently, rather than fill your speeches with buzz words and pleas for cash.

Then again, with her recent struggles with her personal economics, she may want to stay away from harping too much on fiscal responsibility: http://politicalmaelstrom.blogspot.com/2008/02/if-economy-got-vote.html

Which begs the question:

Will there be more people flying around the web saying "You're just a Hillary Hater!", or fewer?

interesting question . . . the woman must be hell to work for especially now . . . when she has lost 8 in a row . . . I think all her campaign staff should run before she gets worse . . .
