Miers Contempt Vote Expected Soon

NY Times:

Democratic House leaders plan to force a vote as early as Thursday on holding Joshua B. Bolten, White House chief of staff, and Harriet E. Miers, former White House counsel, in contempt of Congress.

Senior Congressional officials said the House leadership had essentially decided to go ahead with the vote, which is expected to spark a fight with Republicans over what they see as a politically inspired inquiry.

The clock is running out on this legal authority of this Congress. The Executive branch has and continues to operate an ongoing criminal enterprise. OPERATION RESTORE TRUST will direct Federal Law enforcement to take the Leadership of the Executive branch into custody pending Trail.

I was going to just say that I would believe the DEM leadeship's claims of actual accountability under the Rule of Law, when I actually saw them hold anyone accountable.

But then a read through a few of the rants from the Bush-Bots.

No matter how many times I read these same, dull-witted neo-con talking points, I never cease to be amazed at the blatant contempt for the Rule of Law that these people have.

The Rule of Law is NOT a partisan issue. The Rule of Law is the foundation of any just and stable society. You destroy the Rule of Law, and you destroy the society, as it will inevitably fall into either totalitarian rule or chaos.

My guess is the Bush-Bots are hoping for totalitarian rule. What they don't seem to understand though, is that the storm troopers won't give a rat's a-s whether they listen to Rush/Hannity when they are kicking in their doors, raping and torturing their families, etc. Whether totalitarian rule or anarchy, the end result is always the same: Massive corruption, injustice, human suffering, and a society eventually left in a heap of ashes.

The Rule of Law matters. It is all that promotes and sustains a just society.

But when you ignore it (or worse yet cheer when people in your government are allowed ot ignore it) you will lose it. Then it's just a matter of time till the death camps. But since the Bush-Bots are convinced that those are just for the rest of us, they will keep cheering till the storm troopers show up for them and their family.

The Bush-Bot retards should read a book now and then, and think now and then, rather than trusting Rush to do all their "thinking" for them.

What kind of a person would turn to Rush for wisdom and guidance?

It really is amazing to watch all the right-wingers loudly complain that the Dems in Congress can't get anything done. It's right out of Karl Rove's play book: stop the Congress from accomplishing anything and then blame the Dems for it.
