Polls have come to dominate the media's horse race coverage of political campaigns. Pundits and reporters constantly use them to tell us who's hot and who's not -- but skip over the fact that plummeting response rates and variables like undecided voters and margins of error and often render these polls useless as anything other than lightweight diversions on par with horoscopes and political betting lines. Our HuffPollstrology chart helps keep you up to date on the latest poll results, along with the latest horoscope predictions, and the latest online political betting lines - and will hopefully help the polling junkies in the media keep polls in the proper perspective.

See the bottom of the entry for polling methodology.

A conflict of interests arises between what your partner wants and what your friends would like to do and this could lead to minor disagreements. Maybe it falls on your shoulders to look for a regular social event which everyone will enjoy and even when you think you've found something someone still manages to throw a spanner in the works. In this case it might be better to put off until tomorrow what won't go right today and it might also be better to spend the time with your partner and catch up with friends another time.

A work colleague could cause you some concern today. Either important paperwork temporarily goes missing or the times of a meeting have been relayed incorrectly. As it turns out it's not the end of the world but for someone who is generally so well organised this makes you feel very anxious. Unfortunately it also puts your timings out for the rest of the day leading to a late finish and missing either all or part of a social event you were looking forward to. Maybe a nice hot relaxing bath will soothe you.

Polls, astrology, and betting line? Each is one helluva way to figure out our next election.

Polls - hm - people tell you what they think you want to hear. Really, who's going to tell a pollster the truth 100 percent of the time? I don't and never will. I like screwing with them and their polls too much to tell them the truth.

Astrology - what a pseudo-scientific crock! Wait, wait, wait, let's check the entrails of a goat or feel the bumps on the candidates heads or read the palms of all the voters or divine via Tarot cards or ...you get the picture.
Astrology...shite! Ask any of them what's their birth sign is in relation to Uranus.

Betting line - well, might as well put some money down while I can still take gambling debts off of my taxes. I can, can't I? Bookies figuring the odds..."Hey, Guido, what's the odds on Ron Paul? 500 billion to 1? Put me down for a fin. With odds like those..."

Read before you make silly assumptions. Do you really think the HP would be giving astrology legitimate credence?
