I rejoiced when this evil bastard "retired". When will he shut up already? Greenspan, the un-dead, trying to spin his long long career of class war into a coat of many colors. Bush will always be remembered as the moron who ruined America. He couldn't have done it without Greenspan.
On the edge of a recession? Listening to the media and the move-on libs, I thought we've been in a recession since 2002.
Reagonomics, birthed his genius plan to barrow from Social Security in the eightys-that went so well, he even believe he was an economic savior...Spend, Spend, Spend,in the ninetys. Freak loans, every person with a fist full of credit cards, he beat the bushes handing them out, credit for even the marginal poor folk. Tempting and tantalising investors to get rich quick on 32% interest..Support America with buy, buy, buy. Bubbles began poping...Social Security tapped out...Huge loans from foreign countrys,we became another Argentina...and now we are suppose to see him as an economic gru... nada...Every time I see his face I become angry.
yes greedyspin ,we in the know your policies began this disaster that is coming to fruition NOW,being coy that you are innocent and pretending you didn't see this coming and have no idea this day would come and the economic abyss America is heading in to ,you must think were all idiots Greedyspin ,if some Americans weren't so dumb down from being so in denial or/and brainwashed ,i really don't know what it's going to take for Americans to being in the streets with a revolution style ,but i guess they will be when there in their homeless shelters from losing their homes and hyperinflation starts in big time on everything from food and gas and mortgage and everything else to basic needs ,then they will actually finally say were in deep s**t , and it's going to be YEARS to get out of it and i mean years lots of them
On the edge of a recession? Where the hell has he been? Did someone wake him up?
cognito ergo populistae
Greenspan ought to know; he caused it.
He pushed for lax lending regulations which produced a "market" where anyone could "buy" a home even though they could not afford it; or a bigger, more expensive home that they could not afford.
More liberal intervention into a free market with drastic results.
And as usual, Greenspan & his fellow libs, "Well, our intentions were good."
If I'm not mistaken, Greenspan is also a supporter of this ignorantly stupid tax-rebate scam; the one given to people who paid no taxes but not to the people who actually paid the taxes.
Don't just twist the truth; beat it, pound it, chew it up and spit it out and see what you get. The John Kemp fantasy Tinker Bell Truth Camp.
Bush, Cheney and friends actually need a deep recession or even better - a depression. They obviously have billions stashed away that they have stolen from the Pentagon during the Iraq war. Remember the 7 billion that Halliburton lost and could not account for? And, most of the money spent over there has had very little oversight.
Now, they need for assets to nosedive in value so they can bring that money back over here and buy up the country. This is how financial empires were built in the past and evidently will be again. So you see - Bush is not so dumb after all.
Can someone get this narcissistic jerk to just shut up already?
He isn't in the job anymore and when he was he wasn't doing much except making sure stocks kept rising so his banker buddies would be happy yet he is so out of reality that he actually thinks people still respect his opinion or CARE what he thinks. Someone just needs to make him go away.
Well...
We're poor
We're saturated with cancer but we can't afford treatment and it's a felony to buy drugs from other than overpriced American companies.
We're forced to pay 30% of our pay for the military to kill people.
Most of our jobs went to Asia and we spend most of our remaining earnings buying the shit they produce.
We can't afford education and the only future our kids have is guarding oil wells in 3rd world countries.
But I'm as happy as a freaking clam that we are a Capitalist Country!!!!
Plus, the cancers we have are caused by our environmental problems--the poisons in our air, the poisons in our food and water.
We've allowed consumerism and greed to s__T in our own nests.
It is time to own up to the inevitable and gear down consumption, live simpler, more healthfull lives.
It's a "Strong Economy" when the rich are getting richer, even when 97% of us are hurting.
But when the elite start seeing their numbers fall, even slightly - "IT"S A RECESSION!!!"
Recession?? Try DEPRESSION! Well on its way here. Thanks Mr Preznitwit and all your buddies!
Alan Greenspan should know - he created the mess. All part of the neocon plan to bring the workers to their knees.
Greenspan sits on his fat can
A proponent of the foolish Ayn Rand
It's never depression
It's always recession
Now go bury your head in the sand.
