Well, didn't Bill have the opportunity to offer Universal Health Care when he was in office?

Oh yeah, I guess he had his hands full if you know what I mean. lol

Technically, he delegated that task to some relatively unknown lawyer he had ties to for several years. I think her name was Hillary Rodham?

Oh, wait, isn't that the same person he's campaigning for now? Hrmm, maybe 2nd time's a charm?

And does anyone recall what the result was? Is that what is called her experience? It was some experience for us Americans to swee the gosh awful mess that came out of her back room negotiations and arrangements.

Now, I have a simple question for the masterminds who say they want to give us a real health care system: why not look around at the very many successful ones that other nations not as rich as ours already have. We could choose to copy the best of those. Ah, but then those special interests! They would be upset. Their lobbyists would cry foul or something.

However, one candidate has avoided lobbyist funding; he is free to ignore them.

If your candidate has been funded by them, won't there be a reciprochal sort of expectation?

You know, I'm not sure the harshness of the tone of Clinton's comments about Obama have anything to do with Hillary. I think it might have more to do with an egomaniacal resentment that people are starting to talk about Obama like the once did about Bill- great public speaker who's been energizing the crowds, etc.. and poor Bill, who only wants to be loved, just can't freakin' stand it.

***** HILLARY TARGETS NEW CONSTITUENCY: Retarded People.

Camp Clinton releases a new Music Video.

It appears the video is aimed at capturing the only voting constituency, which Barack Obama doesn't already dominate; the Retarded People.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UefSpWGD19k

Surely aimed to please those, who took the "short" bus to school.

Great Luck!

I'm not sure what segment of the medical community he's talking about. Most of what I read on the medblogs and hear from docs is universally..negative.

I'm sorry, President Clinton - exactly who in the "business community" and the "medical community" do you have behind you?

I wouldn't exactly classify the AFT as the "business community."

In fact, I'd say the AAFP is against the idea you and your co-President hopeful wife dream of. As evidenced by the following from the AAFP web site:

Although the AAFP does not believe the answer to the health care reform debate is a single-payer, government-run system, it does advocate Health Care Coverage For All (HCCFA).

http://fmignet.aafp.org/x1203.xml

So, Mr President, if by "behind us" you really mean "against us" ... well, then I can believe you. If not, I guess it's time for another discussion about the meaning of "is"???

I have this great plan for universal health care. I will open the pluto plan to all. They will have the plan I have.

Now, about the premiums.....can't afford it? Not the Clinton's fault. we offered it to you. Universal health care.

what is the point of trying to fool the people at this point Hilary? For gosh sake please exit the stage with dignity and let us address the problem of universal health care which definitely needs to be addressed post haste in '09 when Obama takes office and still has a mandate and the democratic congress on his side.

We can't afford another round of Hilarycare, followed by blame the other guy because it did not pass, etc., followed by inaction for eight years while you figure out the next bombing victim.

one day I was told I cannot be a true Christian because I am Pro-Choice.
one day I was told I am not a true American because I refuse to support the war.
one day I was told I am no longer a true feminist because the female candidate is not my first choice.

Does he mean he finally has big pharma and insurance companies underwriting it all because it is troublesome that they donated so much to her campaign ...
I am sick and tired of President Clinton using scare tactics and twisting the truth around his slick little willy ... I am exasperated ... how can we ever trust a Clinton to tell the truth?

Just curious. Why do people keep saying that Obama has little experience, when infact he has tons more then Bill Clinton did when he first ran for office? I doubt any Clinton supporter will try to answer this question.

No problem.

Clinton had been a Governor.

A lot of people think, Clinton aside, that governorships make better training for the presidency than does Congress.

So you think that being governor gives you foreign affairs experience? How about Domestic affairs when it comes to this country as a whole? I am glad that you think that Clinton did great in his little square, but Obama has done great throughout the country.

Bill was a Governor Hillary was a first lady ... I believe you are speaking of President Clinton rather than Senator Clinton ...
And if Preseident Clinton was a Governor and Senator Clinton is a Senator without other prior legislative experience doesn't Senator Obama's experience as a state legislator and as a Senator exceed her experience?

I thought everyone knew that Bill Clinton was Governor of Arkansas before he ran for president. Doesn't that count as experience?

And of course I believe everything that comes out of Bill "I-did-not-have-sex-with-that-woman" Clinton's mouth NOT.

These two will say anything, do anything to get back in power.

I don't think they give a fuck for the American people or the Democratic Party. I think they'd help Jeb Bush get elected for a third Bush presidency if it suited their purpose.

Realistically, neither Obama's nor Clinton's plan would be implemented as presented in their campaigns. There's going to be a lot of "horse trading" before anything changes. And it's going to take time. What we really need is MediCare for All. I'm crossing my fingers that either one of these plans would eventually lead to that system. I expect that what Edwards proposed is what will happen, no matter who is elected.

As badly as we need Universal Healthcare, Hillary's plan would only make matters worse. The cost of living is constantly rising in every aspect; in one month, the cost of milk DOUBLED! Now prices are rising on other food stuffs, gas is horrendously high, and employers seldom cover transportation costs these days. Jobs have been lost, and highly-educated, highly-paid professionals have been reduced to minimum wage labor to make ends meet. To take money out of a persons paycheck to pay for insurance is potentially devastating.

Personally, the government makes me pay for Medicare, and I haven't used it once in the three years I've had it because the doctors seemed to want to medicate me rather than help me heal.

What we need is a wellness program. Studies have shown that if we have access to wellness classes, fitness activities and nutritional guidance, we stand a much better chance of living better longer and relying less on medication.

Once again, I have to say Obama has a better idea. Incentives vs. forced payments makes a whole lot more sense!
