She's right, universal is the way to go.

I like elements from Obama's plan as too, like transparency for example.

There's nothing wrong with watching the cash flow of public funds, for a variety of reasons. One includes an educational process for the public, since the school system sort of failed us all in financial IQ education.

Something tells me there may be an opportunity to combine the best parts of both plans to make an even better plan.

1) Healthcare under your administration (your wife's pet project) was a disaster.
2) Implying that Obama's health care plan is not universal is misleading - the difference is that his is voluntary, your wife's mandatory -(in other words you have to pay for it whether you feel you need it or not- I believe she even went so far as to suggest garnishing wages)
Now in both case it is affordable and available to all (universal) the difference is – in Obama’s plan people who may not want to pay for it because they feel they don't need it (15mm approx, I believe) don’t have to enroll. Who am I to argue with peoples wishes – in both cases all children are covered. You are reaching and we are smarter than that.
That said love what you are doing with your charity work (seriously) it if very commendable - I suggest you stick with and stop with the speeches.
