Wisconsin Attacks Ads Continue

The Wisconsin debate ads continue. This time, Clinton is airing an ad attacking Obama for running an ad that attacked Hillary for running and ad that attacked Barack for not agreeing to a debate in Wisconsin. Confused? Just watch:

What a crock. Why is it that they've had 18 debates and Hillary didn't manage to bring that up in any of them? Maybe because it's BS and she knows it. Why is it that Hillary is promoted a health care plan that "mandates" coverage but doesn't explain how this mandate will be enforced? Why is it that Hillary didn't read the energy bill that Barack voted for and find out that it's the first energy bill that has billions of dollars for renewable energy and actually CLOSED big-oil tax breaks? Why is it that Hillary and her husband oversaw a Social Security system that is going broke, and Barack is the only person in the race with the courage to say so, and to say that SOME OPTIONS are raising the retirement age, and etc? Why is it that Hillary is just going out every day lying to America, saying she'll enact a health care plan that she already failed to enact once, and she can save a Social Security plan that her and her husband have screwed up? Why is it that Hillary can't play it straight with America? Like Barack said in his last ad: "Same Old Politics".

Campaign ad limbo--

Where we live on the western edge of Wisconsin near the Minnesota border, we do not receive ads playing on Wisconsin stations because we have access to stations in Mpls.-St. Paul only. So, if they didn't use attack ads in MN, we won't see it here.
It's refreshing actually--you have to do your own research and make up your own mind.
I think it's important that we all avoid being caught up in some "cult of personality" and hold both candidates accountable. I love Obama's soaring oratory--hell it's great have someone out front who can actually string a sentence together in an uplifting way.
That said, I do think he has been given a pass by the media and not examined as closely as he definitely will be if he is the nominee. It is the same thing that happened last spring when the media all but crowned Hillary the party's nominee.
We need to refuse whatever they're selling us and not let the corporate media continue to set the agenda.
Let's face it, they're both similar candidates--if Obama can't handle a bit of nastiness now, he will never be able to handle what the GOP will throw at him in the general election.

There aren't going to be enough Republicans left in congress to stop much of anything, no matter if Obama or Hillary is in the White House.

We have a record 29 Republicans "retiring" this year in the house, and more than 20 Republican senators are up for re-election, as opposed to 11 on the Dem side. That's not counting the senate Republicans who are also "retiring".

Retiring of course means getting the hell out of Dodge.

My favorite part about these "Hillary cares so much about Wisconsin ads" is that they went up before she even showed up in the state. She cared so much about Wisconsin that she decided to go to Texas. Further she claims Obama has responded with a false attack ad, which is an outright lie. Pointing out the obvious fact that there anyone who wanted to see a debate could have seen the other 18 is not a false attack. Unlike Senator Clinton, Obama's message hasn't changed repeatedly throughout the campaign, so we don't need another debate to find out where he stands right now. It's where he's stood from the start. Hillary needs a debate so she can roll out all of her new slogans and attack lines dreamed up by her revolving door of advisers and pollsters.

We've only had one 1:1 debate with Clinton & Obama. So that's a specious argument. What's Obama afraid of? Doesn't he want to be specific with his programs? Where's the beef? Read this article from the Wall Street Journal and see if you come away with the same optimism and blind faith in Hillary's plan. Mandatory health insurance means you have to purchase it whether or not you can afford it. CA just rejected universal health care legislation because of the mandates. Please read the whole article and see if you don't come away a bit concerned about how something that is supposed to be great for everyone, actually ends up hurting a lot of people (just as NAFTA did).

Get off it. These debates not only play the first time they are broadcast live, but over and over again on c-span and other channels. If you were so 'busy' that you couldn't watch one of the reruns, or the play by play accounts on all the news networks, plus the various videos on places like youtube and so on, then you are probably too 'busy' to get around to voting anyway.
