Clinton Protestor

MSNBC reports Bil Clinton snapped back at an interrupting anti-abortion protestor:

"I gave you the answer. We disagree with you," Clinton said. "You wanna criminalize women and their doctors and we disagree... I reduced abortion... Tell the truth, tell the truth... If you were really pro-life, if you were really pro-life, you would want to put every doctor and every mother as an accessory to murder in prison. And you won't say you wanna do that because you know that because you know that you wouldn't have a lick of political support. Now, the issue is who ... the issue is, you can't name me anybody presently in politics that did more to introduce policies that reduce the number of real abortions instead of the hot air putting out to tear people up and make votes by dividing America."

Vote Obama.... he's NOT married to Bill!

FISA UPDATE

A good current article on FISA.

http://firedoglake.com/2008/02/18/why-isnt-fisa-enough/

Talking Points Memo has several articles worth your time, this is one:

http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/02/todays_must_read_278.php

People, Congress is on break, which means that your Rep is in your district all this week. He/she will be holding forums and town-hall meetings. You need only call their district office and find out when and where. There will several opportunities.

The House RESTORE act is the only acceptable bill under consideration. Nothing from the Senate should be allowed within a country mile of the constitution.

Telecom immunity is an abhorrent run for cover by BushCo. You must stand up and fight.

Please find your congressman and give him what-for.

It's a PRIVATE site not a news organization and, as such, is entitled to its bias. But, quite frankly, you're full of shit on this one. There have been plenty of pro-Hillary posts and blog items, just as there have been anti-Obama pieces. You just choose not to see them.

Republican Trolls and Desperate Clinton Supporters.

Try all the smear you want:

No Experience
Rezko
All Message - No Substance
Empty Suit - Hope monger
Obama - Cult of Personality.
He's Muslim.

Theses are desperate measures of an arrogant, out hustled, out worked, out messaged, out inspired, out fund raised, out executed "Inevitable" campaign now pushed to the brink.

I lost all respect for Bill Clinton a long time ago, and he is basically a lying piece of crap, but I agree with him here, pro-life people do nothing to actually decrease unwanted pregnancies, and in fact their abstinence only programs actually increase unwanted pregnancies because teens don't learn about contraceptives. Anyway, Bill, you still suck.

Supporting Obama much? Calling one of the best presidents from the Democratic party "A lying piece of crap" is really SAD. Saying he still sucks is beyond pathetic. There are times when any politician lies, and Barack is no exception. Keep on beliveing Obama's platitudes with no substance, and saying nasty things about the Clinton's, and we are going to have a McCain presidency if Barack is the nominee, as this kind of talk alienates Hillary supporters, and they won't vote for Borack if this keeps up. If you think Obama isn't lying to you when he said he didn't steal the Governor's words, (when it was obvious that he did, the words came right out of Barack's mouth and are on tape!) Then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to show you thats for sale.

Yeah, he's the real deal. He's a real dyed-in-the-wool politician who has pulled the wool over his supporters eyes.

Sadly, he will pull the wool over your eyes long enough to win the nomination, the Democrats will be stuck with an unelectable presidential candidate.

WISCONSIN VOTERS -- before tomorrow, do some reasearch on Obama's deep ties to the Rezko fraud. The Rezko House Deal is just the tip of the Obama-Rezko iceberg.

It has yet to be proven (but I think the rial will reveal) that Obama had been helping Rezko get government construction deals in Iraq.

There is an article on huffpo today that shows that the whole "Rezko" story is a whole lot of hot air. Rezko is in trouble for some other stuff, but nothing that had anything to do with Obama.
The sellers of the property were found and stated that there was no preferential treatment. They took Obama's offer because it was the best offer they got.
I don't think if I were Hillary I would want to start a discussion about associations with unsavory characters.

well johnnygoodwud:

I'm 60 years old, lived in countless cities and more than a few countries; was politically active for 10 years, met countless politicians and media personalities; and have been a member of the business community for over 40 years.

I learned was to not believe every headline the media threw at me as truth, and no matter how well someone delivered a speech, to dig a little deeper and take the time to also find out what was behind the pretty speech. That is something that most 60 year olds learn and very few 60 year olds I know take any politicians pretty words at face value. They've learned that that is a foolish and dangerous thing to do. They've also learned to capitalize at the beginning of a sentence.

well Didi47,

If you say you're 60 years old and support Ms. Clinton, then maybe you're still too young and naive. After all the bad votes (Iraq, Kyle-Lieberman, Cluster Munitions, Flag-burning), and her negative campaigning (I'll definitely be careful what I tell my kids to write for their kindergarden essays, and make sure it never leaks to the public)... and you STILL support Ms Clinton, you probably need to get older before you're mature enough to see that not all women deserve to be President.

Barbara Boxer, yes. Dianne Feinstein, no. Hillary Clinton, no.

If you think raising a $130M over the course of a year for an "inevitable" campaign, blowing it all away and then going in debt $5M, is 35 years of "experience" and "ready on day 1", you probably need to grow up and open your mind, and open it to the possibility that your candidate just might not be the right one for the job.

Johnnygoodwud,

With all due respect because I am not fond of the hate and slime tactics when is Obama going to bring out the best in his supporters here at huffpo? From what I have read they are the most hate filled venom spilling people on this site. Barack may be good intentioned and I don't doubt that at all but his supporters are the ones who are spewing venom and turning people away and to me that seems in conflict with his message. Obama may want to unite us but from what I have seen on the net many of his supporters want to divide us so that makes me question just who is supporting him.

Bill Clinton is a strong man with a range of emotions, including anger. BFD.
I don't blame him a bit when he raises his voice against a fucking nitwit looking for his 15 minutes of fame.
I loathe George W. Bush, but if given the chance to speak to him face to face in a receiving line, I doubt I'd try to goad him into an angry ourburst.
Common courtesy dictates a certain level of reserve when facing someone who has differing opinions. Respect is a two way street.

Do you know for a fact that those signs were held by Obama supporters???

I was under the impression that these were signs held by members of the Republican party who will do much more to her if she is the Democratic nominee.

You sound like the pathetic women that I met at the WA State caucus who informed me that their vote was going to Clinton because she's a woman. That's it!!! No policy discussion, nothing. They even came at me with the line, 'it takes a woman to clean up a man's mess.'

Indeed. How about the lovely bumper sticker, "Bros before Hos." That would make me really proud if Obama were my choice. Yes, yes I know, the Clinton campaign is really printing those.

But back to substance.....which of course when you really press for it, Obama does not seem to have any - at least not what I want in a president. He is a fantastic candidate, full of charm, popularity, the media's darling; a pop star, a great candidate. But Clinton will be the better president.

Yes, Go Hillary! While Barack steals lines from every politician and says the fuzzy feel good stuff that everyone who supports him like lemmings and sheep want to hear, Hillary has real plans, real substance. While Barack plays that he is Bill Clinton when Bill was running, Hillary is an original, with real plans (like Bill had) rather than just feel good BS. Bill had the substance too, as he was Governor for many many years before being president. Borack does not have the beef, just hot air.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 07:10 AM on 02/19/2008

I want to add that while the Barack camp attacks Bill, Obama must have studied Bill's tapes from his presidential campaign, because he tries to sound just Bill Clinton when he was running for president. (without the plans on what he is going to do, because Bill has already done the things that he said he was going to do, while president.) The young ones who don't remember Bill's presidential run don't see that Barack is not original, that he is copying Bill Clinton when he was running, only Bill actually ran a state and had some real experience and a record of results, which Barack doesn't have! Barack Obama, all hot air and copying people, no substance!

To see a former President raise his voice in a crowd is demeaning. If Mr. Clinton wants to raise his voice in the U.N. or about Darfur or poverty, fine, but to angrily lecture protestors to his point of view is horrifying.

Mr. Clinton demeaned the Oval Office with his behavior, and now he's single-handedly lowering the high regard in which former Presidents are held

Well, Ka-AP and other Obama supporters, let me clarify.

How do I know Obama's campaign is sending hecklers to Bill Clinton's events?

My husband heard it from an Obama-bot at work who volunteers for BO's campaign.

You see, unlike those of us who have voted in more than one election and understand the importance of political decorum, Obama-fans talk about their You-Tube Candidate all day long at work.

And they have successfully turned off Democrats at my husband's office.

Now, my husband is smart enough to keep mum on politics at the job. All he's revealed is that he's a Democrat.

So his office-Obama-supporter has assumed my husband and I support BO.

This morning BO-supporter revealed that the Bill's heckler was an Obama plant sent to make Bill look bad.

Because they know Bill is surrounded by TV cameras and if he loses his cool it will on TV news.

He also said to watch the news for more Obama hecklers making Bill lose his cool on TV.

Sure enough, there's a second report today.

Could it be that some of the rabid Obama fans are dreaming up these cool ideas on their own and bragging about it?

Sure, it's possible. But imagine how many people believe this guy when he claims the hecklers are being sent out by the Obama campaign.

Then again, maybe it is an Obama strategy -- don't be suprised. All politicians use whatever tricks they can to win.

If you think Obama is above all that - think again.

Either way one thing is clear -- Obama's recent primary wins have turned his supporters in to arrogant big mouths insulting other Democrats as if we're the enemy, and you're turning off undecided voters.

If Hillary pulls off a win in Wisconsin tomorrow you only have yourselves to blame.

You make assumptions. I've been an acitivist since the Viet Nam days.

I'll give my age away -- I was campaigning against Richard Nixon BEFORE I could legally vote. In those days you had to be 21 to vote. Don't tell be about "standing up."

You have no idea how many letters I've written to the DNC on many issues. Even before this nomination got underway.

Screamin' Dean has not answered one letter.

I have been a loyal Democrat for many years, and for the first time in my life I'm starting to see how badly this country needs a VIABLE Third Party. I even sent letters to Colin Powell begging him to be a third-party candidate.

Let me tell you young Obama fans something before you learn it the hard way.

Obama will never win the general election -- you are tearing down Hillary and she's the only candidate that can beat the GOP in 2008.

You are giving the presidency away to John McCain.

I learned a long time ago that when someone "claims" something he/she knows they might not know squat. If the "BO supporter" as you call him truly does know call him on it and ask for the name of the person the report him to the Obama campaign for he acted on his own thinking he was doing something supportive but was not. Also I have only seen the guy is anti abortion and not a Barack supporter as claimed so if the office supporter offends your husband tell your husband to tell him to not talk any politics in the office. Not much effort there to stop it. Also your hubby can always put a hillary sticker on his desk. Why post on the blog if you can shut the guy up with a simple few words?

It doesn't matter if the BO-supporter is lying about Obama's campaign planting hecklers. He's creating negative word-of-mouth about your candidate.

And every time Obama supporters attack other Democrats for supporting Hillary or Edwards, you turn more voters against your guy.

You come from a generation who are used to spouting off your mouths on the internet for fun. You have no idea how much you're turning people off.

I have spoken to many Hillary supporters who are now so disgusted with Obama supporters that IF BO wins the nomination, they're threatening to either vote for McCain or stay home on election day.

You're so naive you're shooting yourselves in the foot.

This is real life kids -- it's not blogging fun and games.

Obama's campaign is totally infiltrated by Republican "supporters". These kind of dirty tricks are totally consistent with their tactics. Whether Obama himself directly orders these activities, I seriously doubt, however he certainly has not been adverse to trying to capitalize on both old and current Republican smears against the Clintons.

Obama's above it all attitude has not worked particularly well, since there is growing awareness that his attitude about people's concerns about anything except his election is generally dismissive. He wants to leave all the old concerns "behind" and worry about "new" problems. The mantra of the Fairy Tale Crusade.
