Two things stand out - he was able to, either by accident or by design - to hold the book, "The Cat in the Hat" - right-side-up . . .
. . . and - highly UNUSUAL - the Maasai Warriors were not holding their spears - just their shields.

I'll have to work on my biases - they're clouding my interpretation of reality.
I scanned this article's headline a dozen times before I realized it did NOT say:
Sideshow: Bush Goes to Africa
w 's first bill signed ...
faith based initiative cutting off all funds to anyone that supplied condoms or contraceptives to rural africans,a
result
800,000 to 1,000,000 MORE abortions a year
in just africa
what a guy !
how can people that consider themselves real Christians vote republican ?
Jesus the Christ said 'judge not lest thy be judged...'
so go out and stand on your soap-box or pulpit
and feel warm and secure in the knowlege you've elected a war-mongering c average cheerleader
sending young americans to die as cannon fodder in a war for oil
good work ohio !
good work florida !!
who is big business going to steal the next election for ?
brittney/paris 08 ?
What are you blaming Florida for? Nobody here expected all the hanging chad issues. The supreme court put the jerk in office. Not to mention all the republicans who thought he was so wonderful.
The Great White Father visits Africa.
Bush, whose eight years in office have not only alienated the American People but turned most of the rest of the world against us now trots off to Africa for his swan song. In a dubious effort to shine as a great humanitarian Bush, once more, can do little more than display his tenuous grasp on reality and his contempt for humanity.
There was a time, in America, when men like Bush and Cheney would have been brought to justice, tried for their crimes and convicted. Today Congress, like a cowed dog, can only grovel at their feet.
Too bad for us.
With all those spears at the ready, it's a pity we Americans weren't solicited for contributions to make our dreams come true.
Photo reminds me of the comedians saying its about time we have a woman and black man running for president, since we've had a bachelor president, a Catholic president and a retarded president.
Hasn't Africa suffered enough?
You know here are two facts for you. Regardless of how you feel about Bush, and I personally do not care for his presidency, he has done quite a bit for the problem of AIDS in Africa. More aid than Clinton's years.
Please quit the rhetoric and put down your ideological monacle for a few seconds.
Also I noticed a weird statistic the other day. For all the criticisms of the Texan Bush as executioner. There were MORE EXECUTIONS during the Clinton years than the bush years.
The point is that, yes, Bush, has been a major f-up with many(most?) things. And I know that someone is waiting to counter this with "yeah that may be true but BUSH did this that this." Blagh. Cmon. We know. But I think the left wing (of which I am a part) is making the same errors that the right did against Clinton. They are becoming ignorant name calling sheep with no regard for a sound logical argument or seeing both sides of an issue or in this case...bot
And Clinton's governorship presided over more executions in any similar four year period? I don't think so. Apples to oranges comparisons are really not valid.
During the years Clinton was Governor of Texas, there were exactly 4 executions during the years from 1978-1992 for which his state. during the 6 years Bush was Governor of Texas, he presided over 152 executions in his state. Since he was a governor of Texas for 6 of the years Clinton was president and he alone let 152 executions occur whiel other governors in the country were halting the practice because of all the cases DNA were proving error occured. So in effect, it was Bush's arrogant leadership in Texas that pushed the number up so you could make a somewhat scurrilous argument. Exections by and large are state level decisions. I happen to admire some Republican governors who stopped executions in their states pending DNA investigations to make sure they did not have the blood on their hands Bush won't even acknowledge and they are the reason you can make your stupid argument in the first place. I don't know where you get your weird statistics, but fact check is found on snopes, com, wikipedia and a number of other computer sources. That may be helpful fo ryou in trying to determine valid versus invalid arguments. On technicality of number of executions you are correct, but only if you don't count the years when the two individuals were personally in charge of execution they could be accounted for. That is what I mean by apples to oranges comparisons.
By the way, I think the only federal execution I can remember occurred during George Bush's administration. It was of Timothy McVeigh. So his personal total is 153 American prisoners given capital punishment. Maybe after January 20, 2009, we will find more under the auspices of the NSA. Clinton, as president, had none during the 90's as far as I know. If you find verifiable evidence otherwise, let me know...I have to leave now.
the AID has been going to the wrong place....d
WARNING: Keep Bush under control.
While in Africa, don't let BUSH EXPOSE HIS CODPIECE AGAIN like he did in 2003 on the flight deck of the USS Lincoln.
Also, don't let BUSH GO AWOL like he did during 'Nam.
That is a great picture.
If he were not so frightening in his beliefs and actions, George W. could be quite funny.
Something about this guy makes me laugh. But then I remember who he really is, and what he has really done . . .
And then the laughter is over . . .
Maybe it's like "whisting in the grave yard" trying to find humor in this disturbing little man.
This should sober everyone up though: The war in Iraq is bankrupting our nation with no clear end in sight. And then there is this:
U.S. MILITARY DEATHS (IRAQ): 3,963
U.S. MILITARY WOUNDED (IRAQ): 29,133
IRAQI CIVILIAN DEATHS: 151,000
'EXCESS' IRAQI DEATHS: 655,000
The smirking chimp-in-chief has created quite a mess, and his plan to deal with it is not to deal with it. He is foot dragging, and will continue to do so, until Jan. '09 when he boards a plane to Texas and the GOP/neo-co
I guess you're not funny George.
what a fucking buffoon. "the cat in the hat" book is a nice touch, a little beyond bush, but a nice touch just the same.
It's on the blackboard behind Bush.
"What is Today?"
"Today is Monday."
