Chris Matthews Apologizes Again – This Time For Obama/Osama Error

Last night on Hardball, Chris Matthews promoted the show's lineup, which would include discussion of Barack Obama's plagiarism of Deval Patrick's speeches. In doing so, however, he showed an unfortunate graphic: one of Osama bin Laden. The Obama-Osama error has been particularly prevalent over the last year, though typically not from someone like Chris Matthews, who has been reduced to tears by Obama's speeches and admitted last week that he felt a thrill go up his leg as Obama spoke.

Later in the broadcast, Matthews – who was forced to apologize to Hillary Clinton after what some perceived as sexist remarks against her – apologized for the slip-up. Watch:

He's told everyone on his show ad infinitum that he voted for GWB in 2000, and sat out 2004! That's hardly a 'conservative Democrat' but he is a devout Catholic, I've heard that ad infinitum too. He always makes an idiot of himself, like O'Reilly with women. With that asinine laugh or cackle. It must have been that repressive upbringing he had. The Camelot crowd, I'm sure, don't have many Black friends over for dinner, otherwise they'll spend all night counting the silver. Then checking the garbage, only to find the count was right. MSNBC is done, in my book. Keith lost me too. Abrams appears to not be a hack, but maybe he's too Colbert? The GOP got the opponent they wanted, Hillary could've put up a good fight! The Clinton's are great infighters, but the media made sure she was hamstringed. Bill never uttered any racial slurs! It's racial when 90% of the blacks blindly follow Obama, after the Clinton's busted their asses for them. He'll just be back in the Senate again, voting for more money for Iraq. Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. doesn't stand a chance in hell. Four more years of hell, because of a spineless party.

Well now Chris can apologize again for his idiotic behavior in tonight's broadcast of election results. His badgering of the State Senator from Texas -- "TELL ME ONE LEGISLATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENT!"..without ever asking Clinton's supporter to do the same. Really, is he senile?

Matthews strikes again! He purposely tonight, on a good primary night for Obama, attempts to sandbag a TX state senator supporting him by asking him to name some piece of legislative accomplishment for Obama. Off hand is a TX guy going to be able to name something? Why do I say it was sandbagging? Well, he didn't ask the Clinton supporter to do the same (if I were the TX guy I would have said: I can sure name things Hillary Clinton has done or has not done that I do not support -- will that suffice offhand?), and she was a Congresswoman, so she would have more potential to name something, given a DC location (not nec. a slam dunk tho since I cannot name anything for Hillary, either).

boy, Chris crossed the line tonight, humiliating Texas Congressman Kirk Watson. Yes, Watson should have been able to come up with some of Obama's accomplishments, but Matthews had clearly set it up to embarass Watson. It was nasty. I hope none of the Obama people give Matthews interviews again.

My husband and I have been looking for a telephone number we could call to complain about that "interview" with Kirk Watson. There was no excuse for treating him that way. I would think ANYONE would reconsider an interview with Chris Matthews.

I am about to email my comments on Matthews' shameless treatment of State Senator Watson. It was beyond unprofessional. I suspect he has gotten more heat on his treatment of the Clintons and he chose to redeem himself at this expense of this guy. We switched MSNBC off and we won't be going back any time that Matthews is on==enough is enough!!!
