McCain Goes For "Young Look" At Photo-Ops

Boston Globe's Political Intelligence:

Last week, John McCain took the election-night stage before cadre of aging white-male politicos in Virginia that critics said presented an unfortunate contrast with the Benetton demographics on display at Barack Obama rallies.

Today, at a primary-day rally in this suburb just outside Milwaukee, the 71-year old McCain stood before a more forward-looking backdrop: an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog's worth of young and fresh-faced -- although still apparently all-white -- supporters that a McCain advance man said had been culled from nearby universities.

Considering the amount of Botox Mac is using to "look" younger now there cannot be too much more he can do with the chemicals. His previous skin cancer prevents him from a healthy tan. His clothes look very retro not fresh and new styles. His body is stiff and moves like an old man but they call it war injuries. I see an old man standing with either younger kids or an old man standing with fellows also old as dirt. Can't pretty him up. Can't make him younger than he is. An old man is an old man no matter what you do to him his birthday says he is old.

Don't be a fool Senator, we all know you are in your 70s and these kids are just friends of family and campaign workers.

You've spent some 30 years in the Senate. Tell me sir, what's it like living in the REAL world?

Perhaps you should ask some of those military guys/gals you support -- perhaps them MAY remember -- it's been so long since they've seen home for any length of time.

Hillary Clinton has been doing this as well and in both cases it is ridiculous. Very few young people believe in the politics of personal destruction as the Clintons do.
