Sen. Hillary Clinton began giving a speech on Tuesday night shortly after Wisconsin's results came in. But within minutes, Sen. Barack Obama appeared in Texas to give his victory speech, and the networks cut Clinton off. Ouch. Watch it:

This wasn't much of a big deal, either.

This will be a big deal. Believe me tomorrow, Hillary will boycott the debates with CNN and MSNBC.

Promise?

I wonder if his campaign did this on purpose to make the networks make this choice. They had to know they'd go with the winner, seems like a good play to get your opponent off the air.

I think it was the other way around. She timed her speech to cut him off giving a victory speech in the best time slot.

In her speech, interestingly, she didn't congratulate him or thank the voters who supported her in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin! Another state that is apparently 'dead' to Hillaryland!

A victory speech is more newsworthy than a nonconcession speech. This isn't exactly a dilemma.

so true. she does not "not win" very well.

Except it wasn't even a concession speech! She didn't even mention the primary, or thank her Wisconsin voters. Just as she didn't concede VA or MD, or thank her supporters there. So of course the networks interrupted her -- Obama chose to actually mention the news of the night -- big win! Big win in all demographics. Snap!

Is that how you liberals work. Is that the change you wanted. You will never win in the general. America is not as radical as you think.

Is that what you say us "liberals' do? You need to get a clue.

I read that she tried to move her speech up in order to preempt him. If that is true, she was really classless and got what she deserved.

She also didn't congratulate Obama again or thank or mention Wisconsin.

Actually, I believe it's tradition for the loser to go first. And to concede defeat graciously, and to thank the voters for turning out despite the outcome. So much for tradition.

Exactly. In with the new. Out with the old. It's the American way!

The networks know which side of the bread is buttered.

I am from California, watch the state in the general election, the people who voted for Hillary are mostly moderate democrats. Obama will lose big here if he is the nominee. Can ID and UT save him? Never

Friendo, you are dead wrong.
I'm in California, too; and what we are now witnessing is the building of a grand Democratic coalition. All of those Biden, Edwards, Richardson, Dodd, (and for me ) Kucinich voters are now coalescing around Obama.
Look how Obama is garnering more popular votes than the two Repukes combined!
It is Hillary that would be the kiss of death in the general for the Democrats.

Hillary is just another classless daughter of privilege that thinks she is entitled.
Forget her!

Thats the funny thing. How many millions of young naive Americans are cheering for Obama because the media networks cheered first?

Hillary getting upstaged by Obama again? Metaphor is everywhere!

Hillary,

It is time to join the forces for good. We have had too much trouble and despair the last eight years. The country can take no more.
