From the New York Post's Page Six:

Ann Coulter suffered a serious embarrassment over the weekend when her credit card was declined in Palm Beach. According to our spy, the nutty arch-conservative was caught at 9:45 p.m. Saturday night in the 10 Items or Less line at the local Publix when her card was rejected.

Read how Ann reacted here.

That's absolutely non-news. Superfluous.

Like the lady herself.

People may think it odd she was in a grocery store to begin with.
Here are the 10 items she had in her cart:
1 economy sized tube Preparation H
I box Lady Clairol hair dye
1 bottle peroxide
1 tube Herpacin cold sore ointment
1 extra long salami
1 box Trojans, extra large
1 tube KY Jelly
1 copy National Enquirer
2 boxes Mydol
6 lemons

Why in the heck would anyone buy groceries with a credit card? Unless they are broke. Citibank loves ignorant people! Nothing like paying interest on the food you eat!

I use a credit card for everything. I just pay off my balance at the every month and I don't worry about the penalties. I don't like carrying more than $200 in cash on hand and going to the ATM costs $2 a pop. There is where the real money is getting made.

Yup. Me too. I pay for everything with the credit card, but I haven't paid one cent in interest for over a decade. Must be different in Texas, but here in the midwest, I bet 90% of grocery shoppers use either credit or debit cards. The rare individual with a check or cash really slows down the line.

As for Ann & her card rejection--my guess is that the computer gremlins hate her as much as the rest of us.

I don't know why Coulter didn't just doff her persona and her wig and go back through checkout in her real identity as a middle-aged bald man.

That's petty.

I don't like Ann Coulter but this is hardly newsworthy. This happened to me at the dentist and at Sephora with my American Express card. Both times I had to call American Express on the spot to yell at them because I had no idea what was going on and there was no reason my card should have been denied. I don't hold a high balance..in fact I keep my balance at a couple of hundred dollars (and I have a very high limit) and I always pay on time. I've had the card for over 10 years. It was not at all my fault but theirs. I was pissed enough the second time to tell them that I just didn't want the card any longer. They begged me to not leave them. I haven't had the problem since. If it every happens again they are history!

Thanks pollster, it silly articles such as "Coulters credit card denied" that reduces the Lefts influence in the world. Anyone who carries a credit card has had it denied for some reason some time. Its inevitable and often simple a program trip of unusual shopping patterns designed to prevent theft.

I have using a credit card for 40 years and NEVER had it denied.

Perhaps Visa objects to giving credit to blond skanks.

Why is this newsworthy? Who cares if her credit card got declined...it happens. While I'm glad that Ann Coulter was embarrassed, I think there's more important things to spend web space and bandwith on than some idiot's card getting declined at a store in a 10 items or less lane.

The real news about Ann Coulter is how has she managed to escape from being charged with voter fraud (the real kind not the made-up charge from Bushies) since she voted without the proper ID in the last election?

"I think there's more important things to spend web space and bandwith on than some idiot's card getting declined at a store in a 10 items or less lane."

Yeah, there are many, many more important things to spend space/bandwidth on...like, f'rinstance, replying to this non-news item.

Why does Huffpro provide free exposure for this literary prostitute? She is predictably irrelevant and simply crude. If this is what Huffpro defines a social commentary, then vandalism should be covered as social activism.

Literary prostitute, hell. She's a menopausal dominatrix. Her followers are mental submissives.

Call her what you want but I wouldn't mind spending some "quiet" time with her (that is, if I wasn't married already). She's a nice looking woman and it doesn't matter to me if she's a lib or conservative. Matter of fact my wife is a lib while I lean to the right and I really enjoy our "quiet" time together.

Excellent reporting. When do you think the MSM is going to pick up on this story? This should be running wall to wall, 24/7. Let's call KO.
