Bill Clinton: If We Lose Ohio Or Texas, It's Probably Over

There's a Texas-sized stumbling block on Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's comeback trail.

Even Clinton's most devoted surrogate -- her husband, Bill Clinton -- acknowledged the do-or-die stakes on Wednesday in Beaumont, Texas, conceding that a loss in Texas or Ohio would likely doom her candidacy.

If "we" lose? Bill, I hate to pop your bubble, but it's time to retire, hang out with dictators, make deals that benefit your wealthy friends, and chase old women in the retirement home.

"In a reflection of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's financial situation, the onetime Democratic front-runner reported $2.5 million in unpaid bills as of Jan. 31. She lent her campaign $5 million in January. According to her filing, she would PAY HERSELF 1.26% INTEREST if she collected on the debt by tapping her donors."

Obama not only uses the race card but he uses the sympathy card over and over in his speeches. I guess the young want sympathy alot nowdays. Oh - and they want their own president.

All the photos I see of Obama look like "Ted Haggard" head of a MEGA-CHURCH. I really resent my democratic party being taken over by this false prophet. He has everyone in my party believing he can win because he is the second coming. This is soooooooooooo CREEPY. He will not win because some of us will take a nap instead of going to church and we want a grown-up to be in charge of the red button.

One thing Europeans have criticized Americans for is what they see of us now - too religious and self indulgent. After the reality of the german experience, they will never trust an American president who exhibits this kind of character.

I will change to voting Independent. I cannot stomach this change to my Democratic Party. I don't like mega-churches. I don't trust their evangelistic preachers.

Oh - how I longed this year for a person worthy to be my President. If Ohio voters do not come out for Hillary and if the people do not wake up and see Obama for the danger he is to our party and I must say, to the country - I have to wash my hands of this. This movement for Obama is much too religious and self indulgent for me. Someday I will be able to proudly say I took no part in this.

That you support Clinton is fine.

To argue against Obama because he is an effective orator and you feel "creepy" makes no sense. To conflate the support Obama receives with some sort of religion also makes no sense.

You criticize Obama support as somehow irrational and religious-like. At the same time you base this criticism on your own personal emotions and no any factual evidence. Just who is being irrational here?

Bill Clinton is back: Two Strikes You Are Out, and it is typical, bills, Bill’s!

When he said, "If she wins Texas and Ohio I think she will be the nominee. If you don't deliver for her, I don't think she can be. It's all on you," The question is, why Hillary becomes a nominee if she wins only Ohio and Texas after she lost ten states? Why not Obama is the nominee for all the wins, and for what he brought to this election?

This double talk and the entitlement remind me when he passes the law “three strikes you are out.” A Law that is inflexible and damaging to the poor – those poor people happens to be Blacks and Hispanics.

I don’t know what with Al Gore III situation is -- my sense is he should fight back so does Obama.

For Obama two strikes should be a warmup for a long and hard fight -- he will win and we all will win.

What's with the "we"?, Bozo. When you were running for President it was "me". Your wife is running for President and it becomes "we"

He went on to say: "Unless of course we actually loose either of those races, in which case they weren't important, and it is onward to the convention we go".

Imagine if,........

....Hillary had won 10 straight, with an AVERAGE margin of victory of 33%, with 17% (landslide) being the smallest spread,.....

....Don't you think the Clintons would be crying,... no DEMANDING,.... that Barack step aside, for the good of the party?

Great Luck!

Don't worry Hillary. After 4 years of Mccain's zombie presidency you will cruise to the nomination. Unless Karl Rove sends us another snake oil salesman to split the democratic party in half again. Don't forget Roves motto "divide and conquer". He's already half way there.

Obama-people, Hillary won all the bigger states needed to win a general election.

If their positions were revesed right now, you known damn well you'd want Obama to keep going,

Oh come on! Since it's all but over I think we can drop the poses and speak sincerely. You know that wives of past presidents bring their own heightened status. That, combined with her previous front-runner position, has given her the staying power about which you complain. Maybe now you can give the Clinton bashing a rest and instead direct your energies towards November.

Just because she had the earlier establishment recognition in those states doesn't mean he won't be able to win California and New York handily as the nominee. Since it looks like Obama is going to be the one now, I hope we can all start the peace process in the party soon - including Bill and Hillary. Like it or not, everyone needs to get behind Obama and help him to be the best candidate he can be come November.
