Lindsay Lohan's Nude Marilyn Monroe Photoshoot: The Outtakes Are Released

New York Magazine has had a huge week with the photoshoot of Lindsay Lohan recreating a spread Marilyn Monroe did with Bert Stern. The magazine's site even went down Monday because of all the traffic. Now, as traffic has no doubt subsided since Monday, they've released five more shots, like the one below, as bonus outtakes.

I don't know about the wisdom of a photo shoot that isn't an original conception, or her blonde locks (personally redheads with freckles can really make me swoon), but I don't see how anyone can come one on here and say such nasty things about this young woman. Perhaps she isn't your cup of tea, aesthetically or otherwise, but there's no need to get so ugly about it.
I've always kind of thought that a lot of celebrities could find doing a more revealing professional picture set like this could help relieve some of the invasion of privacy issues they suffer under. After all, nobody's going to waste their time scouring the net for extremely invasive paparazzi pics or grainy video captures from some old B movie if all they need to do is go get the latest issue of Playboy or something. But I'm starting to wonder about that notion, after seeing how ugly some of the comments are getting on here. Some people seem to really be all about kicking people they don't actually know, no matter what they do.

Wow, seems like a lot of comments here are looking for porn (you know incrediably over-airbrushed perfection) rather than art. I happen to think several of these photographs are beautiful.

Moreover, I can see why any young actress would like to do something that would align her with an icon. I can also see where doing this shoot might be cathartic for Ms. Lohan; considering her substance abuse issues and how a similar situation took the life of Ms. Monroe.

If Lindsay were old enough to remember Marilyn, I don't believe she would have agreed to this (although if she were that old, no one would ask her to pose). To Lindsay, Marilyn was probably just another pretty actress. I guess you had to be there.

I have seen only the photo at the top of this page..not interested enough to check out any others...but if any one thinks she can hold a candle to even one of Monroes photos...they need to see an optomatrist pronto!
Hilton never had anything..Britney is in a very bad place and maybe not all of it is her doing...but Lohan...she really can act..why does she not just stick to films?
She could have a wonderful career..all this gimmick stick is foolishness and very shoddy.
She is a lovely and talented young woman with no one to give her guidance..A shame. V.
