Michael Moore Wants To Bring Fidel Castro To The Oscars

"Sicko" director Michael Moore jokes that Fidel Castro would be a "ratings grabber" at Sunday night's Academy Awards show.

Moore's Oscar-nominated documentary on the health-care industry concludes with a trip to Cuba, where he seeks care for a group of 9/11 responders who have experienced health problems. They are greeted with open arms at a Havana hospital and given what appears to be top-notch care that they could not get in the United States.

I never got the chance to see it in the theatre and I just rented it on dvd a few weeks ago. It was a great movie and I highly recommend it to anyone, but it should be an absolute must-see for people like Michael Moore who make what must be foolish and naïve statements like this about Castro.

All this talk about Castro and Cuba...what part of 'minding our own damned business' don't we understand? How long is it going to take to have the U.S. part and parcel realize that it does not have the innate right to force the entire world to do what it wants? What a phenomenal ego! The US has demonized Cuba for years, and without good reason. Its time to take the sactions off of them, let them into the US as a part of it, and let's take the stick out. The jobs that could be created are huge, along with a potential for vacation spots. JFK wanted to let them become a part of the US. Its time.

Michael, he may be a ratings grabber for sure but the protestors outside, all of the exiled Cubans who risked their lives to come to the U.S.,might just be too much even for you. He's a murdering dictator and that's what we need to remember.
