Democratic strategist Joe Trippi said Wednesday that Hillary Clinton has assembled the best "top-down" campaign - defined by big money and party insiders -- in history, and that she and her husband are the best top-down campaigners the Democratic party has ever seen....

..."Running it all top down is the biggest campaign blunder I've ever seen," said Trippi, who looked like he had a fresh tan now that his most recent boss, John Edwards, has dropped out of the race.

Curiously, Hillary seems to start out top down, but shows considerable versatility AT TIMES in listening and responding. She primarily does this when she feels she's in trouble, though, it seems.

Yeah, listen to Joe Trippi, he did such a good job on John Edwards' campaign.

John Edwards should be the candidate now.

He has the right message at the right time.

What happened, JOE?

He worked some of that Howard Dean campaign magic on him, that's what.

Say what you will about Joe, but at least he's consistent.

Amazing that the two democratic candidates, and their spouses, between them, hold eight (8) degrees from Ivy league schools and just a brief bio on one pair: live in a $1,900,000 home; earn over $1,000,000 per year; eat and sleep at 5 star restaurants and hotels on expense accounts. And yet all four are not proud of the USA and believe that the USA is seriously flawed. Maybe they're correct. there is a flaw. It is in allowing such ingrates to be so successful.

If they aren't proud of this country and they're so rich, you'd think they move to (*gasp*) FRANCE! But no, instead they have to go and run for president and try to "fix" things...

Of course the President who is VERY proud of the USA!! - I know, because I have seen his lapel pin in many photographs - is a far greater American than any of the candidates in the running. And Lord knows, thing's are so great right now under a proud American president who is SO proud of his country that he's bankrupted it by giving no-bid contracts to his well-connected buddies, letting good American jobs skee-daddle overseas, and sending our proud American kids into the Jaws of Hell so he could have a "successful presidency" as he once put it.

But hey man, it's all OK! Because you know ol' George even wears that flag on the lapel on his pajamas, proving for all time that he is a far greater patriot than those disgusting, craven candidates who only show their love of country by wanting to make it better.

Go USA!!

Would you be more at home with candidates with similar bios who pledge to continue the current program of senseless wars, looting the public treasury, and spying on citizens?

Fercrissakes.

Success doesn't bind one to selfishness or to the kind of blind wrapped-in-the-flag patriotism of jingoistic warmongers. Warren Buffet has come out against Bush's tax policies. George Soros (Oooh, I know that makes your teeth grind,) is a billionaire and supports Democratic causes. It is not a given that Republicans are the best bet for successful people.

No one ever challenges Republican theories of economic prosperity. It turns out that the average annual change in Real GDP during Republican administrations was 2.8 percent while the annual change in Real GDP during Democratic administrations was 4.4 percent. The overall average was 3.5 percent. A statistical test indicated that the chance of obtaining this result due to random chance was nine out of 1000. One way of interpreting these numbers is that the average business can expect an average increase in output above inflation of 2.8 percent during Republican years and 4.4 percent during Democratic years.
Go back to Rush Limbaugh and listen to what you want to hear. You don't seem able to entertain contradictions inside that tiny cerebellum.

Another dim wit Republican. Where in the he!! do you think Mc Cain sleeps? Or on top of who for that matter.

And the Clintons love America and are very proud to be Americans.

Well, "Strong," that "brief bio on one pair" certainly is impressive; sounds like your talking about a Republican, which is why I'm surprised it should so distress you. And your assertion that "all four are not proud of the USA and believe that the USA is seriously flawed" ... and "there is a flaw. It's allowing such ingrates to be so successful."

That's muscular stuff, Strong. Moral/political reflections of what your country's done or is doing or the course it's about to take -- weakness, damn it. Cheers to you, Strong.

I bet your heart skips a few beats just hearing, "We are the greatest people on earth, and we are the greatest country on earth!" Oh, you know that quote -- because everyone American politician from a small town mayor to a presidential candidate tosses it out like read meat to a pack of starving dogs.

I guess it's because we're a very insecure, delusional people, and we need to be told how great we are over and over and over.

Needless to say, other nations don't know how to take this. Either we're rabid imperialists or just a pathetically insecure, delusional, but ultimately harmless comatose giant.

And if you're convinced that the only American "flaw" is "in allowing such ingrates to be so successful," then you really are obligated to clean up this mess. How 'bout a prison for political dissidents? Throw Clinton and Obama in there for starters, then anyone who comes to mind.

Strong, with all due respect, you'd make a fabulous Fascist. But then you already are, kind of. Just buying into the neoconservative rant makes you one.

Why is the Clinton campaign not talking about Obama's egomania or who can actually beat the Republicans. Like the fact, that when Bush starts hostilities with Iran, or Korea or Syria, the voters will run to a "commander in chief", not a cult-image.

These cult worshiping fruitcakes are getting disgusting. Does anyone really think that the more independent Republican type will crossover to vote for hero-worship...something that kids do with rock stars or baseball players.

These Obama wackjobs are going to cost the election in November when Obama loses in a landslide. The Republicans said they hoped for Hillary (against EDWARDS) because never in their wildest dreams did they ever expect the Democrats to lose their minds and nominate a do nothing Senator whose resume' is thinner than George W Bush. In two years as Senator, he's written a book about himself and ran for President.

When they campare McCain to Obama, as commander in chief, every conservative IN BOTH PARTIES will come out to give McCain a landslide victory...and this country another rabid neo-Con and a hundred years war.

...Thanks Obama, for caring more about your sick EGO than America.

I wouldn't be throwing the ego card so carelessly. Clinton started with a huge advantage and screwed up totally. $95,000 on sandwiches is a bit foolhardy, don't you think. And with all the money and party support she blew state after state. Now, she is left with divisiveness and mockery and anger. I doubt anyone could run for president without a healthy ego, but really, what makes you think that another war will drive the 70% who think Iraq was a mistake into the arms of Oedipus Bush?

Hey wait! On late Edition Sumday Republican Chuck Hagel of Nebr. said this; The new president needs to engage with foreign country's like cuba an Iran. Following Senator Obamas words that change don't happen unless you talk and reach out to world leaders. That it's nonesense to say we can't trade with cuba------we are now tradeing with two other communilst country's of china and vietnam. cuba would like to export millions of dollars of our food we grow in our fields off our farms. We can use those Millions of dollars because Clintons out sourceing through the Nafta program with china has caused us thousands of American job an and thousands of dollars. Ans she can't argue that with Mccain-------but he can use it against her in this Election to cause us to lose this election again to some one who wants to keep us in Iraq 100 more year. Obama can use that against Mccain in the upcomeing election--------but once again with Hillary voteing for this war---Mccain will turn it against her. You have to look who will unite our Gov. and not Divide it. Republican Senator Hagel shows where thier heart is and it's not behind the words of Mccain or Clinton. It's along the same lines of Obama and what he wants to astablish and accomplish.

It's surprising that people can't see what's going on. Obama is a better politician than the Clintons. End of story. Here's what he did:

http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/02/hes-inside-her-ooda-loop.php

Hillary has a campaign, Obama has a movement. (And for the record, I'm an Edwards man.)

Obama's movement may do what Hillary could never have done (sorry, but high negatives are high negatives) and bring off a tsunami in November.

This too is so funny, I was truely scared in the beginning. I continued to hear about the "Clinton Machine". I kept hearing about her 35 years of experience, so I was sure that she would cream him. They underestimated their opponent, ran out of money, who does that with all this so called experience. Yes, that Clinton Machine needs a new engine.

Please back off on the scream heard around the word rehash. First off, Obama is running off of the 50 state template that was the hallmark of the Dean campaign. The MSM couldn't get it back then, but now they CANNOT ignore it now. Indeed there are some getting all tingly down their leg and it's not a precursor to a stroke or embolism.

Oh and as for "Don't Stop Thinking about Tomorrow" --- there's that refrain that goes, "yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone".

Thank you for crediting Governor Dean for his insistence on a 50-state strategy plan when he took over the DNC in 2005. And who told Dr. Dean that such a strategy was 100% foolish? Former DNC chair Terry McAuliffe, now Senator Clinton's strategist.

What Dr. Dean realized, and Senator Obama has built upon, is that Americans want to be Americans together. They have not liked being divided into Red States and Blue States nor their backgrounds isolated and targeted into voting blocks like soccer moms and NASCAR dads. Dr. Dean realized in his 2004 presidential campaign that the Internet would bring like-policy-minded people together and that this would prove that states are not all red or all blue.

Senator Obama brilliance was in recognizing Dr. Dean's premise: take a common sense view of Americans' character trait of traditional, intrinsic common sense and create a campaign that includes all Americans in every state and makes a point of recognizing, and appreciating, the American founding principles of common sense and good will toward all.

"Senator Obama brilliance was in recognizing Dr. Dean's premise..."

It's more than that; the piece that Obama added was his recognition that with the internet, it had become possible to do street-level political organization on a national scale, cutting out a whole strata of political middlemen and gatekeepers.

Dean got the net, and used it to solve the 'big money' problem. Nonetheless, he got screwed by the political establishment. Obama's addition to the blueprint gave him the muscle to push back against theestablishment, and win.

How, in the world he has more money manage his campaign better than her if she is the professional. This rookie schooled this professional.
