PSAS, identified and named just six years ago, remains a mysterious condition that thousands of women wish they didn't have. They are constantly on the edge of orgasm regardless of time, place or circumstance. And while this situation might sound desirable, funny or just plain weird it is actually akin to being a prisoner: a nightmarish reality where a woman's body acts independently of her own desires.

ABC News spoke with four women who all experience unwanted sexual sensations. Heather Dearmon, Nancy Austin, and two women who requested anonymity (referred to as Lauren and Emily) all suffer from unintended sexual arousal.

Not to make light, but this is obviously an extremely rare female condition. Unfortunately.

But clinically, I'm curious, does Houston 500 therapy work?

Wow. Too much of a good thing.

Seriously, though. This does sound awful. And it is obvious by the comments that most of us find it hard not to joke about it. But imagine if you really had to deal with this 24/7?

The accompanying photo proves the point that nobody empathizes with this admittedly bizarre sounding problem. Just some constantly aroused people lolling about in the tub together, ready to get it on.

If the small percentage of women who live with this are being driven to the brink of suicide, it can't be a laughing matter. (But the topic certainly lends itself. Wait until the late-night guys get ahold of it.)

Doesn't nearly every man have this condition...?

Yes, at least from the age 13 until 20. Constantly.

And we don't even get to call it a syndrome.

This blog shows that we've lost interest in the '08 campaign. This ABC story is more interesting than Sen McCain's alleged love affair story in the NYT.

Imagining McCain in flagrante? Of course America would rather not think about that!
