"Sex And The City" Movie Extended Trailer Hits Web

Previously:
It's been two months since a 40-second teaser trailer of the "Sex and the City" movie came out, and now an extended version has hit the web. The 2 1/2 minute clip is bevy of information and full of clues. Weddings! Cheating! Babies! The film comes out May 30.

In the trailer, Charlotte is seen with a young girl, presumably the daughter she and husband Harry adopted from China. They are all at the park together in one scene and later she's stroking the girl's hair in bed. But then she also tells her friends she's pregnant. Carrie is getting married to Mr. Big (full name John James Preston) and at the wedding receives a phone call. She drops her cell phone and seems to drive away in tears. Later she's dyed her hair brown. Steve and Miranda are happily playing in the yard with their son in one scene, and later Steve is telling a crying Miranda, "It only happened once," as though he's cheated. Samantha and boytoy Smith are still together and seen making out. She also touts the joys of Botox to Carrie.

I really couldn't care about this show any less. The unending sex talk gets so incredibly old. That's all they seem to do and it's too vapid for me.

the concept at http://vanishingnewyork.blogspot.com/2007/11/how-satc-killed-nyc_07.html is that evil california has invaded soulful, authentic new york. new york has been confronted with the possibility that sex can end with a full season tv deal as well as the usual detritus of lawsuits, std's, and bad novels. but they can't take too much sunlight at once quite yet. the real new york is always vanishing and always will be.

I agree with you that the real new york is always dying... I think even Jane Jacobs actually celebrated that fact...

But there certainly seems to be something different about this current metamorphosis...

Rather than one immigrant group replacing another, or a new art spot popping up somewhere else, the whole city seems to be turning into a gigantic outdoor chain mall...

And I'm originally from California! Well, the "good" part (i.e. Northern)....
