Attempting to reassure anxious donors, Hillary Rodham Clinton on Sunday outlined a road map she said she will follow to beat Barack Obama in the Ohio and Texas primaries March 4...

...Clinton blamed her woes in part on unfair press coverage but said she believed Obama had come under increased media scrutiny in recent days. She urged the group to watch the latest episode of "Saturday Night Live," which featured a skit mocking last Thursday's CNN debate as little more than a love fest for Obama.

"People are starting to say, 'Hey, you know, we've got two candidates. We've been a little more focused on one than the other in terms of asking hard questions. Let's start looking at both of them. The voters of this country deserve to have a real election,'" she said.

Maybe I missed something, but I didn't see the debate that way at all. I wasn't sure where that stuff was coming from when I watched SNL. But either way, that sketch just wasn't funny. If you think the debate was biased, there are more clever ways of saying it than having the characters say "we're biased." That's not satire. Maybe the writers should go back on strike.

What is starting to rear its nasty head is this belief by the candidate and her supporters that if we are not supporting her, then we are all stupid and misquided. Not unlike far too many elected officials, who once elected deem their constituents addle-brained when it comes to the complex issues on the hill. So they ignore us and do as they please. WEll Hillary, Tina Fey and Geraldine Ferraro...we are not stupid, and Senator Obama has awaken a sleeping giant...tee hee hee if you will, but your dismissal of our preferences as citizens to select the person whom we prefer... speaks of elitism and arrogance. Be very careful because there is NO Democratic Party without voters. Geraldine Ferraro and a bunch of party elites concocted a superdelegate plan that would keep party elites in power to select the nominee of their choice...Democratic voters had the election wrestled away from us in 2000 and we will be damned if we will allow Democrats to steal this election away from the people. I agree with the criticisms directed towards some Obama supporters and I am an Obama supporter! I think that we should not be so negative towards Hillary supporters. I know that many of them are negative too, but I really don't think that Obama's message is congruent with the nastiness I've read. We have no reason to be petty! Some people are not very logical and will confuse the negativity of a few Obama supporters with his message. They will base their votes/non-votes not on what Obama has to say, but on what you negative guys say. So what if you are being baited by some Hillary supporters. If Obama wins, we should be gracious in winning, not petty. This is no more dependent on what Hillary does/says than it is on your dislike of her supporters. I hope these boards are not an indication of the general public, because if so, then angry/provoked Clinton supporters might give us McCain as president. And, unfortunately, it will only be after the election and after the emotion dies down that they realize what they have done. Just think of the Supreme Court. We need a Democrat! Let Hillary do what she feels she has to do to win. It only reflects on her. Whereas, for some, the attitude of some Obama supporters reflects on him.

First the personal qualities I like about Obama.

His even temperment, leadership and inspirational ability, intelligence, civic mindedness, pragmatism, war last mentality, progressive principles, legal mind especially regarding his constitutional knowledge, his political and moral courage and his colorblind view of race.

While it was just a comedy sketch, the reason it was so funny is that there is more than just a grain of truth to it. The media (especially MSNBC) practically genuflects at Obama's feet and has done everything possible to skew public opinion against Clinton even down to bad photos (a forte at this website). He always appears smiling or studious and she always appears to scowl or yell. I feel all is lost for her at this point and of course will vote for him in the general. I just hope the media continues to give him a free ride against Mr 100 more years! Because if all of the Obamatons think Hillary was mean and nasty, wait till the Rebugnicans have a go at him!!!

Obama said it was a speech about his love for this country that put him in the national spotlight.
