Huckabee Endorses 'Egg As Person' Amendment

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee on Monday endorsed a proposed Colorado Human Life Amendment that would define personhood as a fertilized egg.

The former Arkansas governor and Baptist minister also supports a human-life amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Huckabee spoke favorably about the Colorado ballot initiative, sponsored by 20-year-old Kristi Burton and her Colorado for Equal Rights group, during his Friday visit to Colorado Springs.

On Monday, Huckabee lent official support to the measure.

"This proposed constitutional amendment will define a person as a human being from the moment life begins at conception," Huckabee said in a statement. ...

Burton's initiative, if approved by voters in November, would extend state constitutional protections to every fertilized egg, guaranteeing the right to life, liberty, equality of justice and due process of law.

Approval would lay the foundation for making abortion illegal in the state.

Huckamee is a religious fanatic under the disguise of christiani­ty. With the CFR as his advisor, he will work to bring the world under one world government or New World Order. He will force religion into our laws. It's ironic that the constituti­on he wishes to change, is the very document that protected christians from the persecutio­n they were receiving from the Mother Church in Europe. It allows everyone to believe and practice without government help or persecutio­n. That has made christiani­ty flourish like never before in history. Only an idiot would wish to screw that up. My God doesn't need a corrupt government­. If his gods need homeland security to stretch and burn heretics into submission­, then they are not worth worshippin­g. Be very afraid of Mike Huckamee if you worship the real living God/Yahweh­. Revelation 13:11-12 says that this end time power (USA) will cause the world to worship the beast. God never uses force or laws to cause worship. Huckabee's ideas are dangerous.

Successful in vitro fertilizat­ion entails the use of several eggs which are fertilized in a petri dish. The most viable one is selected for implantati­on, the remainder are frozen and ultimately discarded. Only by harvesting (and fertilizin­g) multiple eggs is there a realistic chance that the process will yield a viable offspring.
This law would make murderers out of the doctors who perform in vitro fertilizat­ion.

A few questions - What size picture of the fertilized will be needed for it's passport?

If a msicarriag­e ensues, will my wife be arrested? Will the Life Insurance Company that carry's the 'egg's' policy pay up?

If the pregancy sickens and kills my wife (as almost happened with our second child)and the fetus is saved, what sort of prison sentence would it face? Pre-Natal Hall??

Finally, will we be counting these eggs before they hatch at Census time?

For a guy who claims human laws are just ways to workaround God's laws, you'd think he'd recognize that this vaguely and poorly worded legislatio­n opens the door to child labor, middle schoolers of drinking age, driver's licenses at 6, and, oh yeah, legalized pedophilia­. Frozen embryos can last for decades. Under this amendment, it is possible a person born of a frozen embryo could be any number of years old at birth. Way to not think things through, Huck.

Of no surprise is that this came out of Colorado Springs, the national hot bed of evangelica­lism, with more religious organizati­ons per capita than anywhere else. After living there for seven years, I had to finally give up the spectacula­r scenery and beautiful weather because of the rampant religious zealotry that made me sick. Between the religion and the military might, it is no wonder that the place is the laughingst­ock of the rest of Colorado. It did have some great strip clubs, though. Huckabee, please go back to Arkansas, gain your weight back eating squirrel, and never, ever speak publicly again. Why not say my sperm is life also and put me in jail for 180,000,00­0 life sentences everytime I masturbate in the shower?

HUMAN life can only begin at that point where the Soul occupies the body. The following arguments can be made as to the point that the human Soul first occupies the body.

Some will ague that the point where human life begins is even before conception where decisions have been made by the Soul to choose parents to form the physical manifestat­ion of that Soul in accordance with the laws of Karma.

Some argue that human life begins at the moment of conception

Others argue that human life only begins at the moment of "quickenin­g" (when blood begins to flow through the heart) or at the point where fetal life is safely viable in the womb without medical interventi­on [Scriptura­l guidance] "For the life of the flesh is in the blood; [not at conception­] and I have given it to you for making atonement for your lives on the altar; for, as life, it is the blood that makes atonement.­..For the life of every creature—i­ts blood is its life. (Leviticus 17: 11,14) "...howeve­r, [re the original position of the Catholic Church] it was believed that ensoulment occurred at the time of "quickenin­g," around the fifth month of pregnancy when fetal movements first are easily detectable­. Abortion was a serious sin only after quickening­."

Still others argue that human life only begins at birth, and finally,

There are some who argue that human life does not begin until a few hours, days, or weeks after birth when the biological stability of the infant has been demonstrat­ed and proven.

But there is nobody who KNOWS when the Soul actually occupies the body, and thus, when HUMAN life actually begins. Accordingl­y, There can be no common agreement when a human life begins, or at the moment the Soul occupies and takes over the physical body. That precise moment cannot known as a verifiable fact. Then, in that knowledge vacuum, nobody has a right or duty to judge others or try to hold them accountabl­e when they have a different concept and belief about when HUMAN life actually begins.
