Karl Rove: "CBS Is Now Sort Of The National Enquirer Of Network News"

Karl Rove appeared on today's premiere of Fox News' new election show, "America's Election HQ." At the tail end of his segment he addressed last night's controversial "60 Minutes" piece, which suggested that Rove worked through a Republican operative in Alabama to dig up dirt on the Governor there. Rove flatly denied the allegations and called CBS the "National Enquirer of network news," claiming that CBS never even called him for comment on the story.

And part of me wants to laugh at any pronouncement from the man, as he sits as a PAID FauxNews staffer (whereas before, they just did his bidding for him, taking his direction, while others paid his salary...) especially declaring ANY other news outlet as National Enquirer like. All network news is conservative by definition, and that includes cable news. Large profit is all that matters, there is no liberal media, unless you count stuff like The Nation mag, because when profit becomes the sole reason you exist, you are conservative. Very good. If he wants to tell his side let him do so to Congress. I am sure they are very curious about what he has to say, as are the American people. It is curious, too, when he will be sworn in if he can avoid lying as I have never heard Rove speak without lying. He can not help himself. Even on an interview with Charlie Rose he lied that Congress pushed Bush into the war faster than Bush wanted to enter it. He will almost assuredly perjure himself.

actually I thought he said they called him months earlier and said they were looking at the story. He is suspiciously unclear about what he said at that time. Did he then refuse to comment and now claims they should have called him back when they decided to go with it.
