WASHINGTON — Britney Spears takes a backseat to Barack Obama on an upcoming "Entertainment Tonight" as the Democratic presidential candidate chats about his favorite movies and stars.

His top films are three Oscar winners _ "The Godfather," "The Godfather: Part II" and "Lawrence of Arabia." Obama says his favorite actors are Jimmy Stewart, Spencer Tracy, Humphrey Bogart, Meryl Streep, Susan Sarandon and Angela Bassett.

Actor Will Smith is Obama's pick to play him if a movie is made about his life, something the two have discussed.

"Will and I have talked about this because he has the ears!" the Illinois senator said in an interview slated to air Tuesday and Wednesday.

But campaigning doesn't leave much time for him to watch movies. It's hard enough eating three, healthy meals a day, he said.

"Sometimes when you're out in remote areas, there's not much you can do," Obama said. "You go for a burger, that's safe. If you start getting fancy you could get into trouble. If you're in a place like Iowa or Wisconsin there's gonna be cheese on just about everything. If you start eating too much junk you'll never survive."

What happened to his choice being Denzel Washington? Smith's portrayal of a lawyer in Enemy of the State was terrible.

Two classy Americans and a great example for all male youth in the nation.

I am very proud of Will Smith and Barrack Obama.

Both remind me of the dream that is genuinely American.

Ego?

Will Smith is just a actor; He probably will be the first African American Democratic Presidential Nominee and Probably will be the FIRST African American President of the United States.

He is part of Great American Political History, and Will is a good popular actor.

I know some of you guys have unexplianable hatred for Barack- But Get some perspective here.

Ego?

Soon we'll be asking will Will Smith deserves to play Barack Obama.

Barack is not Perfect and not flawless- and doesn't have a spotless record. But, he is heads and shoulders above politicians of our generation- even if you are a critic or oddly have a disdain for this guy- you've to take your hat off for a spectular nation and grass root campaign in the history of this country.

With fear mongering on his middle name, faux emails claiming him to be a Muslim, the legendary Clinton Machine as opposition, and ofcourse million other stories from Empty Suit to Cult to now Rovian attacks and accusations questioning his patriotism- against all odds- THIS is a Great American Story.

On the day 15,000 people in Boise, Idaho roared for A BLACK MAN and a Democrat to be our president- was a great day for this country.

Senator Clinton has great qualifications to be our president- but it's disheartening to see her running against inspiration, mocking the power of hope.

He is a GREAT AMERICAN STORY- and no matter how much disdain who've mustered in the past few months- this is the story for the history books.

Before you go on talking about ego and arogance, it is important to know that he was asked and I am sure he must have given a light-hearted reply.

Oh well of course it must have been that. We were never dare to imply that King OBama is anything but modest and humble. Ego and arrogance, no? We wouldn't dare, we just wouldn't dare.

I didn't know that Obama was a King but my point is that he was asked.

If he had went up to the press and said, hey guy... Then I would agree with you.

By the time that we learn who this Obama is...might be too late.

He himself acknowledged in 2OO4 that he was not ready for national politics..he felt not prepared. Yet he was less than 2 years afterwards?
Why did he receive so much money when he was hardly known..and behind 2O+ points?

Why do people project him as a liberal progressive, when his actions and votes prove otherwise?

There are far too many unknowns left.

I read his two books, read his platform on his campaign website, reviewed his Senate website along will various articles in top newspapers including the junk thrown his way.

Try a google search and a trip to the library

His books contained exaggerations and lies, his website has scattered and incomplete postings, and his Senate website is very thin. A google search reveals pictures of him in turbans, or with Louis Ferrakan, or snapshots of him at rallies - all of which reveal an empty yet scary picture.

Are you basing this comment on the fact that he wants Will Smith to portray him? I don't see anything in this post that would lead anyone to believe he has a big ego...

I am basing this comment on MY OPINION and of what I have seen and heard of Mr. Obama throughout this campaign. Modesty is not this guy's strong suit, along with experience and knowledge.

Ego is part of the job description for president.
You don't think McCain, Clinton, Romney or G. W. Bush have enormous egos??

Every politician has to have a big enough ego to think that *they* can make a difference more than anyone else.

Yes, ego is part of the job description, unless you happen to be a woman or Hillary Clinton.

Oh yeah, Obama has a big ego. By contrast Hillary is the very model of humility, and Bill has the self-effacing quality of a Buddhist monk. Give me b break, as Bill would say.

Okay. So what? He's also got a big amount of intelligence, character and leadership.

Hill's got as big an ego a not much of the others. Who would you rather be?

I think she means that this moment of glory for Obama will be short lived.

A few hints. Republicans, nasty Republicans, McCain against Obama, McCain gets elected, another 4 yearsof a Republican White House, and Mr. Ego goes back to the senate.
