Roger Clemens

New York Daily News:

Congress is believed to have received new evidence over the past 10 days that may further undermine Roger Clemens' sworn testimony that he did not attend a suddenly notorious 1998 party at Jose Canseco's South Florida home.

The Daily News has learned that in the days since the Feb. 13 public hearing on steroids in baseball, another major leaguer has informed congressional investigators that Clemens often joked in the clubhouse about a memorable account of the party - a scene in which Debbie Clemens and Canseco's ex-wife Jessica compared the results of their surgical breast enhancements.

Bill Maher said it all when he said "if you head is wider than it is high you CAN'T deny you used steroids .
Tell Roger not to worry I'm sure George has pardon already written .
Got to say that must have been one HELL of a Party . I would have like to see the comparison of the Enhancements .

This is not ironclad, but I have trouble with a man who would want his wife to have her breasts enlarged. Maybe the wife wants it and the husband doesn't but he can't change her mind. Thinking the 2 players probably wanted it done from joking about it, which I find obnoxious. Guess I'm saying loving a woman and wanting her breasts enlarged seems to be contradictory to loving to the degree it should.

Clemens played the odds as nobody in 6 years has been prosecuted for lying to Congress.

Congress (and most politicians) are disgusting. With the huge problems facing America today, (we are now in a recession) and Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) can find time out of his busy day (fundraising and voting for the Bush Iraq War) to investigate this! Congress is just a bunch of pathetic people along with the current president and vice president. This country is literally falling apart (the infrastructure) with no money to fix it, an illegal war going on in Iraq, millions of people losing their homes, jobs and health insurance etc and these bozo's waste our money on this?

Im sure the 18 year old US Marine who will be blown to pieces in Bhagdad really cares about some multi-millionaire baseball player taking steroids.

What a disgusting Congress. They should give that no good Bush enabler Nancy Pelosi a rifle and helmet and send her good for nothing lying ass to Iraq to die for Oil profits and lies.

Clemens might go to prison for illegal drug use but Rush Limbaugh remains free. Amazing.

Jesus F'in Christ folks,...

So what if a potential Hall of Fame baseball player lied to Congress about whether or not he attended some friggin party, or even if he shot up vast quantities of HGH.

How about Congress spend some time focusing on the lies, lies of ommission, cherry-picking of intellegence, and general stonewalling that has come from the White House?

Now that sounds like it is more in their job description.

What a complete and utter waste of taxpayers money and Congress's time.

So what?! This is the national pastime here, buddy! In the summer it is all we got! Never mind that I can't afford to go to any games because sunsobiches like clemens get paid too much and the beer costs $25 an ounce. Besides, get with the program. We hate this guy, he exemplifies just exactly why America sucks right now and he lied to Congress. Go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass Cooperstown, do not collect 200 million dollars.

The leaders of congress should be ashamed of themselves for spending one second of the time in the peoples' congress on this diversion for the masses, baseball drug abuse.

I am glad I have been pretty good at sniffing out the truth I did say at the eve of the testimony between McNamee and Clemens that McNamee, even though a known lier, looked more credible of the two.

I am sure all the loved ones of the troops killed or wounded in this invasion are relieved to know that congress is working diligently to investigate a millionaire sport figure. He is a danger to the country, that's for sure. Is this REALLY important when the country is going straight to HELL under this administration? Let professional sports investigate their own, congress has much more important things to do. This is part of the problem in this country. Talk about "sweating the small stuff".

Put this egotistical ass hole in jail, there must be something in the water in the Huston area, Bushman, Rove and now this spoiled asshole. It is amazing that for two years they have been kicking the shit out of Bonds and putting astrek behind his reocrds but don't see bull shit thing about Clements records. All these spoiled assholes should be put in jail.

The guy congress should be kicking the shit out of is the manager of the major league baseball, you know the base ball commisioner, notice nothing being said about this prick. Must be Repug...............

Rich assholes like Clemmons never do jail.

Baseball can have that lyin' ass sack of shit -- he fits that sport's image perfectly -- worn-out and outdated.

It has absolutely nothing to do with "economy, health care, Iraq, Afghanistan, the DOJ, Guantanamo, wiretapping, Hatch Act,..."

It has absolutely nothing to do with anything resembling legislation.

That's why they are doing it. Because it makes them look like they might be doing something with our taxpayer's dollars - and because it will actually accomplish NOTHING.

Putzes!
