Roger Clemens

New York Daily News:

Congress is believed to have received new evidence over the past 10 days that may further undermine Roger Clemens' sworn testimony that he did not attend a suddenly notorious 1998 party at Jose Canseco's South Florida home.

The Daily News has learned that in the days since the Feb. 13 public hearing on steroids in baseball, another major leaguer has informed congressional investigators that Clemens often joked in the clubhouse about a memorable account of the party - a scene in which Debbie Clemens and Canseco's ex-wife Jessica compared the results of their surgical breast enhancements.

It is this kind of circus which has voters flocking to Obama--not that flocking to Obama is bad. Obama represents an about face from all the silly contortions, veiling and avoidance of real issues (like "pre-emptive" war on a country which did not attack us)we've experienced over the last seven years.

Voters are waking up. Congress had better be "there" instead of out operating some kind of shell game.

I can think of a few things they can better spend their time investigating.

Yeah, why not they blame him for all the other problems that they created. Yes, they created; the whiners who do nothing about their country except try to find some scapegoat for all the world's problems. They would like everyone else to vote against their progressive principals like they do. Fuck 'em.

This is not something Congress should be involved in.

Congress should be overseeing our CONSTITUTION and the people in power who deliberately have violated it.

So what does Marion Jones think of all of this, in her prison cell.

Any takers?

This is such a joke...with all the republican corruption conyers is sitting on his ass and letting it pass while they go after baseball.

THIS IS GOING TO SAVE AMERICA...we will have peace, our finances will improve and more jobs, cheaper gas....keep on going on that baseball and it will make us the envy of the world.....

This is a distraction so we won't ask Congress to deal with real issues - war, the economy, peace, the environment.

Actresses get boob jobs, politicians use botox, business sucks up subsidies... why would you not expect athletes to use every advantage to get multi-million dollar contracts in the world of sports entertainment?? Don't be naive.

And as to baseball players being a 'role model' for your kids. You be the role model!

Is THIS newsworthy?

Congress, do your jobs. This baseball thing is making me sick. You seem to care more about it than anything actually affecting our nation.

*That* anecdote is their evidence?
Get to work. Stop the war.

Congress gets REALLY tough on baseball jocks but are as wimpy as hell when it comes to the REAL work of impeachment, no bid contracts, endless war for oil, NAFTA, Gonzales, Cheney, Bush, Rice, etc.

9-11 ... How about a REAL investigation?

Rearanging deck chairs on the Titantic is all that comes to mind. Getting the broom out after a hurricane. Something is very very wrong in America.

Turn off the sports channel and do some REAL WORK.

Is this all Congress has to do?
I can't believe there aren't more important things to come to grips with.
Hey Congress; thanks for all the time(and money) you've wasted on this trivial BS.
What's next ? checking Nascar's tire specifications?

I cannot believe Congress is wasting tax dollars investigating this, when looking into the blatant war crimes and treason committed by this criminal administration should be their first priority.

Our Dem leadership should quit covering its behind about being complicit with either not reading the intelligence reports about Iraq's WMD's or reading it and seeing the dollar signs for their campaign committees.

While the taxpayer funded Iraq fiasco gravy train continues, I could not care less about steroid use in MLB.

End the war, investigate the contract fraud, and impeach Cheney and Bush!
