Ben Affleck On Jimmy Kimmel Video: "We Were Going To Take A Bath Together"

Days after the video "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck" became a sensation, both Ben Affleck and Jimmy Kimmel are dishing on filming.

Ben did a Q&A with EW.com:

How did this bold pairing come about?
I remember seeing Matt's [video] and thinking to myself, ''Oh, it would be funny to do one with me and Jimmy.'' They called and immediately I was like, ''Yes, it should be this idea...,'' and they had the same idea more or less already. I have a lot of respect for the group over there -- they're really good comedians -- so I just committed to it. Everything I got from them was really funny and made me excited. Although some of it was a little bit like... [Laughs] I looked at it on paper and thought, ''Wow. Okay. I can do this. I can handle it.''

What took you by surprise? The tight outfits? The toe-painting?
You couldn't really do it half-speed. You had to be painting toes and blow-drying hair. At one point we were going to take a bath together, but the bubbles couldn't get high enough, so that ended up getting scrapped. The little outfits, the short shorts, the hands in the pockets -- it wouldn't have been funny if you didn't really commit to it.

Meanwhile, Jimmy spoke with People and had nothing but nice things to say about his onscreen lover:

"Ben could not have been more sporting," he told PEOPLE of his video costar. (The song was designed as a retaliation against Kimmel's girlfriend Sarah Silverman for her clip, "I'm F---king Matt Damon.) "He told us, 'Listen, if we're going to do this, we've got to do it right. I don't want you guys to worry about my image.' "

Earlier he told Us Weekly, "Our love speaks for itself."

I am not a fan of Jimmy Kimmel at all, but this video almost made me one (still not though). It's just the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

I mean, the tacky gay styling from the 80's was just so perfect. Of course, they come off more like 2 girlfriends instead of anything remotely like gay men.

Now, if they really wanted to play convincingly gay, then Jimmy would be the owner of a record label slash (pun intended) home shopping network, and Ben would be a personal trainer on The Biggest Loser.

I know what would be REALLY funny! Like they could be wearing high heels, makeup and like earrings and being all faggy and all! OMGSFF! Then some teenager could come in and shoot them both in the head! That'd be sooooo funny! But maybe I should just lighten up. So TroyTooner, satire and silliness are just too much for you? Can't handle folks having a laugh about pushing a concept over the top from cliche to silly? Way too serious, friend. If gays want to be normalized then they can live with the same satire that everyone else does. Frankly, I have seen gay couples that were way more extreme and stereotypical than this so is it really stereotyping or is it accurate at some level? I think it is accurate at some level and that just makes it funnier. I was in both Greenwich village and San Francisco/Castro in the 1980s and I saw all of this and more....
Frankly, I think that the more that people see normalizing of sexual variations the less likely we'll see violence against them. Crimes against gays for being gay are hate crimes and the more we can normalize the exposure to gays the more likely we are to be able to see that violence diminished...

No! That's absolutely what they should NOT do.
You should always go out on a high note....always leave them wanting more...it's not going to get any better...they keep going back and forth and it's going to have the opposite effect...it will drain all of the funniness out of the first two.
