Police Reviewing Alleged Spears Drugging

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles police say they are looking into allegations that someone drugged Britney Spears but have not decided whether to open a formal investigation.

Police Capt. Kyle Jackon said in a statement Wednesday that the allegations "are being considered" by the Robbery-Homicide unit to determine if laws have been violated.

Jackson says no suspect has been identified.

Spears' mother claimed in recent court papers that the pop star's sometime companion Sam Lutfi drugged Spears and tried to take control of her life. Those claims led to a restraining order against Lutfi.

Spears is currently under a court-ordered conservatorship.

I hope the police take this seriously. Lufti actually threatened his neighbors when they refused to sell an apartment to him. This isn't idle gossip -- he was very nasty and scary.

Britney is still worth tens of millions of dollars. Control of Britney means access to her money. I believe that the people around her decided to keep her hopped on something in order to maintain access to her money.

The theory goes is that Lufi was grinding prescribed and maybe unprescribed medication in her food at dosages that not only worsened her condition, but made Brit go completely crazy to the point where she went without sleep for days before she was finally committed.

I hope she recovers. Someone needs to take her to the mountains for a few months. No drugs, no papaRATzi, no alcohol, nothing but hiking and camping and therapy.
