I have learned alot from this thread, dendroica and others. i wish someone would write a complete objective history of the region that WAS the British protectorate. Just the facts without the emotion would instruct and inform. Justice might mean a one state solution. And this is probably the demographically driven future for Israel. When there are more Arab Israelis than Jewish citizens their democracy may mandate a just peace with right of return and compensation.

It is devastating but factual and the efforts of the peace groups in Israel/Palestine who really want peace and see that it could happen if the killing fields were not being supported so violently. Israel once again overacts to provocations but for Hamas to whine about it is the ultimate travesty. Hamas deserves everything it gets because this group consists of little more than self serving leaders who want to retain power and control of Gaza at any cost even if it means the lives of the people they purport to represent. If Israel is leader by murders as some would suggest then what does that make Hamas leadership? At least Israeli's rarely feed on themselves: Hamas does it as a matter of regular practice.

Actually, Jews lived in Israel for thousands of years. They were run out of Palestine by the Romans. So they have more right to live there than we in America have rights to live here.
