This is breaking news all over the world except for CNN & FOX which is pathetic, i guess Hillary's emotions are far more important than the biggest injustice of our time.
I think he's blaming the MSM not Hillary.
By the big injustice of our time, of course, you mean the the absence of any concern about the slaughter of several 100,000 black Africans in Darfur by Muslim psychopaths as opposed to the screaming headline about the deaths of roughly 50 Palestinians, using civilian-shields, who have been killed while firing missiles into civilian populations. Right?
I have to say, I agree. I think the genocide in Darfur is far more disturbing than the Palestinian situation. The only time you hear mention of Darfur is when Angelina Jolie brings it up.
How convenient of you to fail to note that since the beginning of this year over 200 Palestinians (including scores of innocent women and children) in the Israeli encircled Gaza prison camp have been slaughtered by the brave IDF with tanks, cannon, aircraft and missiles. If memory serves, no more than two Israelis have been killed. Also, apropos your attempt to evade the issue by bringing up Darfur (the cause of that horror story is the region's diminishing water resources), I remind you that although few are aware of it, the taxpayers of this country are financing Israel's expansionary wars, occupation, ethnic-cleansing, dispossession, mass murder, imprisonment without charge (over 10,000, including hundreds of women and children) and brutalization of the native Palestinian people to the tune of nearly $20 million each and every day.
What with its deputy defence minister threatening residents of the Gaza Strip yesterday with a "bigger holocaust" and today's barbaric slaugther of 45 Palestinians (now over 200 killed, including scores of innocents, since the beginning of the year), Hilter and his fascistic henchmen would be filled with admiration for Israel.
I read that 'bigger holocaust' comment by Israeli deputy defence minister too and was pretty disgusted.
Every FUCKING time the US media is distracted by something, Israel pulls this bullshit.
It's not working as well as it used to, though. There are enough people in the world suddenly aware of what's going on. Not like it used to be, even a few years ago, when it was ALWAYS ignored.
If any of you thought feeling was running a lirttle high on the other thread, the one with about 3300 hits on it, wait 'til this one gets going.
What was Huffpost thinking of?
Fuck Israel
Here we go.
lol. Arabs tried that once and look what happened. No, that's not what is needed. Palestinians can have a homeland without fucking Israel.
Whenever there is crossfire between Israel and Gaza, the casualties are listed without context so it seems to some opportunists like it's an Israeli propagated "holocaust."
The truth is, that one must compare ratios of casualties to total populations. And when you do that, the death toll is more comparable.
But any casualty is always disproportionate. A death or injury has no measure, life and limb being so valuable.
But the war of attrition waged by Hamas from Gaza has no realistic solution, given Hamas's millenium goal to destroy Israel. The only hope would be world public opinion removing the blinders and seeing what provocation both sides are under, not just Hamas.
Short of that, the battle remains with no fair eternal solution in sight.
Today 2 Israeli military members killed vs 19 Palestinian civilians killed.
We need to cut ties with Israel. Stop sending them billions of dollars each year. Stop selling them arms. Impose sanctions for not signing the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. There would be a glimmer of hope left for this country if we cut the umbilical cord.
Just think, we could send those same billions to protect our borders, protect our seaports, and rebuild New Orleans. Who would've thunk that cutting ties with this terrorist nation could do so much for America?
And and and and send some more troops to Iraq.
Exactly Jared137.
How do you suggest we do that when Israel is the one that controls the US?
We should not cut ties with Israel, but we should adopt an Israel policy that's based on reason instead of sentiment and propaganda. That means expecting Israel to meet certain norms of civilized conduct. It also means placing our own national interests first and not backing Israel when it would damage those interests.
I've read John Loftus' book that America betrayed Israel; and now am reading "The israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy" by John Mersheimer and Stephen M. Walt who put forth the proposition that "the remarkable level of material and diplomatic support that the United States provies to Israel ...cannot be fully explained on either strategic or moral grounds. This exceptional relationship is due largely to the political influence of a loose coalition of individuals and organizations that actively works to steer U.S. foreign poicy in a pro-Israel directions."
The New York Review of Books, Michael Massing - "Not since Foreign Affairs magainze published Samuel Huntington's "The Clash of Civilizations" in 1993 has an academic essay detonated with such force".
I am reading this book for the same reasons that all of the comments and questions arise on this blog today. Searching for truth.
IngeniousGirl, I have done the same thing.
I also, recommend They Dared to Speak Out: People & Institutions Stand up to the Israeli Lobby by former Dem.Congressman Paul Findlay.
I found this book to be most helpful in my understanding because it's provides hundreds of practical cases and real life examples of the unbelievable havoc and damage and destruction that these Zionist groups are doing to our democracy, college campuses, politicians and individuals.
Also, We Belong to the Land by Elias Chacour was a great and sad read, written by a Palestinian Priest who found his dead relatives in a mass grave. It's so sad and shockingly not political.
This is nothing more than a vicious cycle.
1) The Palestinians provoke the Israelis to a fight.
2) Israel fights back and the Palestinians ask for a cease fire.
3) The media promotes how evil Israel is for fighting the Palestinians.
4) The Palestinians ask for some land in exchange for peace.
5) Repeat steps 1-4.
So i suppose the Palestinians are supposed to give in to those that are illegally occupying them and ethnically cleansing them of their land right? Maybe they should sit back and wait until there next on Israel's house demolition list, hmm? Maybe they should just make the best of the 2 gallons of water they can use every week while the Israeli settlements enjoy swimming pools?
If only the media could be fair and balanced towards the Palestinians. The media is largely controlled by the ZIonists within and by Zionist Lobbies like AIPAC.
Israel fights back? Israel's control over the West Bank and Gaza is an occupation, backed by military force and imposed through unbelievable violence. That's the constant state of affairs.
Palestinians doesn't lob the occasional mortar at Israel because they're bored and have nothing better to do. They're crowded into a tiny space, they're taxed by Israel and starved to death. They want independence but they don't have the arms, the time, or the political cohesion to get it.
The Israelis have seized the Palestinians' land. They have displaced them from their homes. They have taken away their livelihoods. They have shut them off from commerce with the outside world. They have relegated them to the status of second-class human beings. They have killed hundreds of their children. But somehow the Palestinians are "provoking" the Israelis.
The Palestinians have "provoked" the Israelis in the same way the American Indians "provoked" the European colonizers -- they have committed the offense of being in the way of a stronger power's territorial ambitions.
Number 1 on your list needs to be:
"Israel militarily occupies Palestine. They drop indiscrimminate bombs on civilian populations - killing men, women and children, illegally imprison and torture people, crush Palestinian infrastructure and devastate their economy, control their land, water and airspace, and subject an entire population to daily humiliation and degradation."
The occupation is the root of everything. Let's not forget that...
Is anybody out there encouraging ramirez with that "Da Joooos" crap. He seems to think that it's witty, I guess. could someone else please tell him that he's made that point so many times that it's getting somewhat stale?
Well I put this up yesterday and this am i see no reason not to repeat it in the apprpriate place.

Israeli minister warns of Palestinian 'holocaust'
An Israeli minister today warned of increasingly bitter conflict in the Gaza Strip, saying the Palestinians could bring on themselves what he called a "holocaust".
"The more Qassam [rocket] fire intensifies and the rockets reach a longer range, they will bring upon themselves a bigger shoah because we will use all our might to defend ourselves," Matan Vilnai, Israel's deputy defence minister, told army radio.
Shoah is the Hebrew word normally reserved to refer to the Jewish Holocaust. It is rarely used in Israel outside discussions of the Nazi extermination of Jews during the second world war, and many Israelis are loath to countenance its use to describe other events.

I would love to hear what the candidates have to say about this, other than the usual waffle.
------
Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai went as far as threatening a "shoah,"
the Hebrew word for holocaust or disaster. The word is generally used to refer to the Nazi Holocaust, but a spokesman for Vilnai said the deputy defense minister used the word in the sense of "disaster," saying "he did not mean to make any allusion to the genocide."

Nice semantics.
It seems that some of the politicos in Israel learned a great deal from their one-time Nazi masters...
Unfortunately, it was the wrong lesson.
Abbas: Gaza attacks 'a holocaust'
The Palestinian president has accused Israel of "international terrorism", saying its assault on Gaza constitutes "more than a holocaust".
Mahmoud Abbas's comments on Saturday came as more Israeli air raids brought the total death toll over four days to 78 people, at least a third of which have been children, according to medical sources.

I think you might all get some perspective by watching this ...

As you'll see, most of you, right and left, are totally out of your head, all you god-damned propagandists ....
If peace has a chance at all, it will come when the people of Israel reject the Likud Party
and elect a moderate to liberal majority that will propose solutions instead of genocide.
That will allow more rationality on the Palestinian side. Someone has to take a first step.
Iran and the oil rich Arab states have got to agree to stop supporting all the killing there.
I don't usually do the c&p thing, but I think this is worth the space. Use the triangle if it bugs you.
"# Multiple deaths of innocent civilians have occurred on both sides, and this violence and all terrorism must cease.
# For 39 years, Israel has occupied Palestinian land, and has confiscated and colonized hundreds of choice sites.
# Often excluded from their former homes, land, and places of worship, protesting Palestinians have been severely dominated and oppressed. There is forced segregation between Israeli settlers and Palestine's citizens, with a complex pass system required for Arabs to traverse Israel's multiple checkpoints.
# An enormous wall snakes through populated areas of what is left of the West Bank, constructed on wide swaths of bulldozed trees and property of Arab families, obviously designed to acquire more territory and to protect the Israeli colonies already built. (Hamas declared a unilateral cease-fire in August 2004 as its candidates sought local and then national offices, which they claim is the reason for reductions in casualties to Israeli citizens.)
# Combined with this wall, Israeli control of the Jordan River Valley will completely enclose Palestinians in their shrunken and divided territory. Gaza is surrounded by a similar barrier with only two openings, still controlled by Israel. The crowded citizens have no free access to the outside world by air, sea, or land.
# The Palestinian people are now being deprived of the necessities of life by economic restrictions imposed on them by Israel and the United States because 42 percent voted for Hamas candidates in this year's election. Teachers, nurses, policemen, firemen, and other employees cannot be paid, and the UN has reported food supplies in Gaza equivalent to those among the poorest families in sub-Sahara Africa, with half the families surviving on one meal a day.
# Mahmoud Abbas, first as prime minister and now as president of the Palestinian National Authority and leader of the PLO, has sought to negotiate with Israel for almost six years, without success. Hamas leaders support such negotiations, promising to accept the results if approved by a Palestinian referendum.
# UN Resolutions, the Camp David Accords of 1978, the Oslo Agreement of 1993, official US Policy, and the International Roadmap for Peace are all based on the premise that Israel withdraw from occupied territories. Also, Palestinians must accept the same commitment made by the 23 Arab nations in 2002: to recognize Israel's right to live in peace within its legal borders. These are the two keys to peace."

(Thanks for pointing out the title Hume. I hadn't read it, but I think I might pick up a copy sometime.)
All the facts in this story are full of B S.
It is only an opinion.
J. Carter another LOSER.
Yeah.
What do the Palestinians think their doing electing Hamas when everyone knows they can only elect people OK'd by the U.S. and Israel?! Serves them right to be cut off from the world in a country-sized prison.
What do they think they're doing in the first place complaining about getting kicked off of land that GOD gave to the Jews, havne't they read the Bible? Sheesh!
And what are they always, ALWAYS doing getting in the way of Israeli bombs and bullets!!
Some nerve!

I take it you're talking about the bible.
It's a start, now get out the big guns.
Do you have a problem with the size of your gun? Anyway, have to do errands. Ciao.
