CNN:

Former HUD secretary and Hillary Clinton supporter Henry Cisneros excoriated Texas' arcane electoral process as "a great burden on voters" and said that losing the delegate count on Tuesday because of the state caucuses would be "exceedingly unfair."

Cisneros was speaking to a group of Clinton volunteers who had gathered on Saturday morning at Fox Tech High School to train for Tuesday evening's state caucuses, which follow a day of primary voting. One-third of the state's pledged delegates are allocated through the caucuses, while the rest are determined by the day's primary vote.

We can be assured one thing if HRC is in the White House: We won't have a good standing relationship with Russia! With her name calling of Putin and all I'm sure won't go over very well with Medvedev either. Looks like a phone call she might let go to voice mail!

Senator Clinton has a habit of always scape goating someone or something for her problems. The Texas delegation method and primary rules have been in effect when Dollar Bill was elected. She was negligent in NOT preparing to fight beyond super Tuesday. Senator Obama layed the groundwork and prepared the battlefield for voters. Where the heck was Hillary and her campaign staff????

She (Sen Clinton) has no one to blame but herself. Don't mess with Texas. Whinning doesn't do anyone any good. Where the heck were the so called Party Leadership when Tom Delay was changing the electoral map? No one out of the Dem DC crowd uttered a word! So stop complaining & deal with it... I dont hear Sen Obama complaining about Texas rules.

The Clinton campaign didn't have any problems with the Texas primary when they had a large lead there. They didn't have any problems with it when Bill Clinton won under the system. They didn't have any problems with the coucuses when Hillary's nomination was "inevitable." Now that they are losing they are crying unfair and trying to change the rules in their favor in the middle of the game.

If they really cared about fairness, why are they pusing to have the delegate from Michigan, who were elected in a Soviet Union style election with only one candidate on the ballot, be seated at the convention. If that would not be unfair, nothing is unfair.

I want a new Voting Rights Act, based on what has happened this year. My vote did not count for much because I live in a caucus state. Obama had lots of money, poured it into these caucus states and everyone folded to the money. I went to my site and all the signs, literature and nametags were Obama marketed. NO signs, etc for Hillary. No presence of Hillary contending for our votes. So a primary season should be a real primary and exclude caucuses.

And money should be taken out of it.

The media has definately helped decide this primary election, along with the money. I got my information from the MSM and it was clear as our water is in this small mountain town.

Obama's candidancy should be seen for what it has been - a bought election and a scam on the VOTERS.

I want someone to recognize that my vote should have counted more.

What, you want your vote to count as more than one vote? Maybe since you support Hillary your one vote should count as two votes?

Stop crying...Obama is playing by the same rules as Hillary. As a matter of fact, as someone else pointed out further down the thread, he didn't have the money advantage, the entire Dem establishment, and 20+ years of favors to call in like the Clintons did. So the constant crying is smelling a lot like sour grapes.

Clinton camp tells its campaign - disrupt the vote in TX!

I suppose if you think that you might lose, you can try to take control of the whole thing and subtly affect the vote.

The Burnt Orange Report is reporting that the Dallas Morning News has uncovered campaign training materials which tell its supporters to basically take control of the vote if they feel outnumbered.

It smacks of Clinton's "do anything to win" attitude and an omen to the direction her campaign will head if Obama doesn't win both Ohio and Texas outright.

From the Burnt Orange Report

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Clinton's campaign training materials regarding Tuesday night's caucuses ominously advise supporters to take control of caucus sign-in sheets and vote tallies especially "if our supporters are outnumbered."

CLINTON TRYING TO HIJACK THE CAUCUS:

Hillary Clinton and her campaign is pushing for precinct captains for Texas' 8,000 Democratic polling places. They need to train folks to lead the caucus sessions that will determine more than 60 delegates after the primary voting is over.
In training materials being handed out by the Clinton campaign, it is clear that they want to control those caucus sessions.
The materials say in part, "DO NOT allow the supporter of another candidate to serve in leadership roles."
It goes on to say, "If our supporters are outnumbered, ask the Temporary Chair if one of our supporters can serves as the Secretary, in the interest of fairness.
"The control of the sign-in sheets and the announcement of the delegates allotted to each candidate are the critical functions of the Chair and Secretary. This is why it is so important that Hillary supporters hold these positions."

FISA UPDATE!

The House leadership is considering a very risky tactic of splitting the Senate bill into small parts and passing them piecemeal.

Please read: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/3/1/175613/1399/825/467005

Then call Pelosi, Hoyer, Conyers and your own congressman and raise holy hell. Tell them that only the RESTORE act is acceptable.

From the article: “Under pressure to end an impasse over espionage legislation, House Democrats are considering a plan to vote on a bill next week that would give the government broad new eavesdropping authorities but strip out a provision that would protect phone companies from lawsuits.”

Please act!

Aren't you supposed to wait until AFTER the state has voted before you complain about how it apportions its delegates, which, by the way, everyone has an equal chance to compete for?

These rules have been in place for a long time. Bill Clinton ran under them. Why is this such a surprise. More evidence that she won't be able to handle the presidency.

Her whining is getting to be obnoxious. It's not unfair if both candidates have to abide by the same rules.

I'm surprised Hillary's manual didn't say "during the count of people in our corner, make sure you count *both* of their hands, not just one!" It should also say "bolt the door shut early to keep out te other candidate's supporters!"

Hmm, they want to "control" everything about the damned caucus night... shady, shady shady!!!

The Dallas Morning News gets hold of Clinton caucus "training materials," in which supporters are instructed to fight for procedural control of caucuses.

The materials say in part, "DO NOT allow the supporter of another candidate to serve in leadership roles."

It goes on to say, "If our supporters are outnumbered, ask the Temporary Chair if one of our supporters can serve as the Secretary, in the interest of fairness.
